Hmmm anyone know what I should get next within the next two or 3 weeks I'm gonna get
DMC4
Ninja GAiden 2
Eternal Sonata
Beautiful Katamari
Viva Pinata
and if I can find it for 20 bux, Dead Rising
oh and probably Marvel Ultimate Alliance too.
I already have Mas Effect and there's no way in hell I see GTA 4 as anything more than a pretty rental.
Yeah, I'll be going to EB in a little bit here. I figure I'd do one of the following.
Buy GTA IV (see if I can find it used + coupon)
or
Gears of War + Crackdown + coupon
Damn it's hard to decide. I've played played and beaten through crackdown and geow, but I'd love to play through them again on higher difficulties. I've rented GTAIV and I really liked it too. I'm not sure what to do here. I don't have money to buy all three games however.
Ninja Gaiden 2 is well worth it if you like slash'em up games that take skill. Dead Rising is fun but it's very hard and the time system is annoying.Hmmm anyone know what I should get next within the next two or 3 weeks I'm gonna get

Yeah I'm a big fan of the ninja gaiden games simply cuz I love quick action and gore. :P but the price is still too high! I'll let it drop some before I go out and buy it.Hmmm anyone know what I should get next within the next two or 3 weeks I'm gonna get

I'd go with Beautiful katamari,Viva pinata, and Eternal sonata because they're a great change of pace from the usual shooter.
Thank you. Those were games I were totally planning on getting! :Pgorilazandgames

Just joined but not new to the site.
I have this question, should I get The Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion first or The Orange Box.
(I can't connect to Xbox Live, just so ya know)
Thanks in advance.:)
OBLIVION!!!! hands down! especially since you can't enjoy TF2 online, which is killer.Just joined but not new to the site.

Yeah, I was hoping that TF2 had like...a local multiplayer or at least allowed you to play alone teaming up with computer controlled AI and fighting CPU's. :(
But, by what I've seen so far in Oblivion...its like WoW for a 360 and it'll last a incredibly long while.
Thanks.
Hey guys, with the upcoming 360 price drop I'm planning on picking one up (I won't technically be able to pick it up until mid-late august because I'm going off and being a CIT for 5 weeks at a summer camp :D). And I came up with 5 games to start me off with my 360. They are:
Dead Rising
Mass Effect
Halo 3
Gears of War (Refresh)
Bioshock
I was wondering if these are good game choices, also DR, ME, and Bioshock are all singleplayer. But Halo 3 and Gears have multiplayer components that I won't be able to access, so would they be worth the money for their singleplayer alone?

yeah their still great
but without XBL your missing out on like more than half of the game's fun
mass effect and bioshock are supposed to be good, but you need XBL or you'll miss out on the experience
ok ive got xbl and i want to buy one of these three games, ive never played any so each one will be totally fresh to me, what should i get?
gears of war
cod4
battlefield: bad company

I would make sure you have gold to play online. Don't even bother with Halo if you aren't going to have Live.

by the way if it helps you, gears is the cheapest
what are your opinions on dead rising? i heard the save system really sucks. is it enough to make u hate the game?pygmahia5
yes it is enough to make you hate it, but not for all that long
i say you rent it

I am about halfway through Dead Rising, and so far I would give it a 9/10. The save system can be really frustrating and you may even have to start your game over again (I have once so far). It's not that bad though since you keep your stats and you know what to do the next time around. Killing zombies with all the different weapons is fun, and I would definitely recommend buying (or at least renting) it since it's pretty cheap now.
Pretty soon I'm going to buy an unlimited game pass at Blockbuster for a month. I'm trying to figure out some good OFFLINE games because I can't get a good connection to XBL when I'm home for the summer - here's my list so far
I've looked through the sticky but I feel there may be more games that I'm missing out on. All help is appreciated.
I was thinking about getting 2 EA games because there is a promotion goin on. But i could not decide on what to buy.
Battlefield : Bad Company is one of my choice.
Any ideas of other EA games that is worth buying?
I was thinking whether to get Medal of honor : Airborne or Army of two. What do u think?ok i just got 40 bucks sooo. my options are the following and i need someones help:
should i get splinter cell DA, stranglehold, or dead rising? (cant think of other good games under 40 bucks.
pygmahia5
Dead Rising sounds the best between those choices.

You might want to add Lost Odyssey to that list as well as Marvel: Ultimate Alliance.
I'm about to get two Arcade games. i already have Uno, Bomberman Live, and undertow.
I'm thinking I'll get Civilization Revolution and Ikaruga, what do you think?
Stevie_Q
Civ Rev is a retail game, not an arcade game.
Ikaruga is really, really hard, but if you're looking for a challenge, then it's entirely worth it.
Spend your other points for either Soul Calibur or Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.

Burnout: Paradise sounds like a better choice between the two, but otherwise you can ask yourself this question: co-op or no co-op?
I'm considering buying a new 360 elite. I used to own one about a year ago, but got rid of it for the PS3 in August 2007. Some games I wanted to get for it when I get the system I've listed below and are wondering what some of y'all think:
Ninja Gaiden 2
Lost Odyssey
Mass Effect
Halo 3(maybe, how is it compared to Halo 2, I wasn't to big of a fan of the second one, but I loved the first...weird huh?)
Eternal Sonata
Blue Dragon
Bioshock(I own on the Pc, butI haven't even got past 10% cause I'm just not a PC gamer :(...)
One of the main reasons I'm getting the system, is for many of it's RPG/esque games on the console(plus an in-game dashboard that works better than in-game xmb :) :) :)....). I'm also really looking forward to the new Gears and Too Human, Tales of Vesperia, Infinite Undiscovery, and Fable 2(RPG Overdose right there!)
Can any one recommend any other RPG's that I've probably missed and any games that are really good to play online on LIve(Exclusives,Ports, First or third person shooters, fightin...anything except sports)

A friend told me that Lost Odyssey was fun, you must also buy Oblivion (if you haven't played it yet on your PS3)

I'd avoid Blue Dragon. It's really not very good at all. You might like Eternal Sonata, but I found it a bit too hard to swallow (with the horrifically long cutscenes in which nothing happens). Lost Odyssey, Bioshock and Mass Effect are fantastic, although if you haven't been able to get through Bioshock on the PC, are you sure you want to buy it again? Halo 3's alright. From what I understand COD4 is much more popular for online gaming though...
[QUOTE="Sanghelio"]um civilization revoulution is not an arcade game it costs 60 bucks
Stevie_Q
Oh, oops. Any other recommendations for an arcade game? No fighters, please
Carcassone, Assault Heroes, Puzzle Quest and Geometry Wars are all pretty good, and worth a look. Check out the free trials before you buy though, obviously.
nvm bullet, dead rising i can borrow from a friend. what about strangle hold and splinter cell da?pygmahia5
from what I've heard, Stranglehold is too short but at least you're not paying $60 for it. The multplayer for that game is also dead if I heard correctly.
Double Agent might be the better choice if you're into stealth/action games, though I'm not sure if the multiplayer is very active today.

I love Bioshock on the PC, but I like the feel of a controller better, plus I've seen it on the 360 for like 18 bucks. Plus I have CoD4 on the PS3.

if you have a wired 360 controller, just hook it up to your PC and if you have a wireless one, get a 360 Wireless Adapter (can be found at pretty much any store with 360 products). I would seriously not buy Bioshock again. Maybe it's because I was disappointed with it, but I don't think I'd any game twice.
