Greetings all, this is Version 2 of the 360 Game Recommendation Thread I made a while back. So remember, keep all "what game I should get" questions in here.
This thread was designed to help future Xbox 360 owners or potential Xbox 360 owners decide which games are worth playing or spending your money on. If you can't find what you want, the Xbox 360 page is an excellent place to look for some great 360 games to play.
Each game has a brief description about the game. To get more details on the game, visit its respective Gamespace to find out more.
Let's rid the boards of these threads!

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
![](http://image.gamespotcdn.com/gamespot/images/2003/all/boxshots2/939212_87358.jpg)
The Call of Duty franchise hits the Xbox 360 again, this time set in modern times. The game's sound and visuals are some of the best on the console, and while the game's campaign mode is over quickly it's one great ride.
Call of Duty 4 also has one of the best multiplayer portions on a 360 game with a popular ranking system and a lot of different maps to play on.

The Orange Box is one of the most time-consuming game to complete as there is 5 games in 1 making it superb value for money. The graphics and sound are excellent and the puzzles and story of the game is fantastic as you would expect from a VALVE game.

BioShock won numerous awards for its excellence and rightly so. It makes up with it's lack of online play with stunning technical and artistic graphics. The story is also in a league of its own and provides a thrilling and engrossing gaming experience.

Halo 3
![](http://image.gamespotcdn.com/gamespot/images/2003/all/boxshots2/926632_70337.jpg)
Any Halo fan will tell you that Halo 3 is a must-buy for the 360, as would most who have played it. It's satisfying story campaign provides closure to the story of Master Chief and the ability to have 4 online co-op play through the campaign is an excellent addition to the game.
The graphics and sound effects of the game are excellent, and the multiplayer is superb despite a vast amount of rude, prepubescent online players plagues the online mode but hardly hinders your enjoyment.

The Darkness
![](http://image.gamespotcdn.com/gamespot/images/2003/all/boxshots2/927014_70356.jpg)
Artistically and Graphically, The Darkness is fantastic. The excellent voice work and dialogue make for a compelling story and the darkness powers in the game make for some very interesting gameplay. The only real flaw is the mediocre multiplayer which feels like it has been thrown on for the sake of it.

Condemned 2
![](http://image.gamespotcdn.com/gamespot/images/2003/all/boxshots2/939452_87511.jpg)
If you're looking for a gore-fest of a game with great hand-to-hand combat then Condemned 2 is for you. There are a good number of weapons to use to beat your enemies and the gameas excellent grimy visuals and geat sound design. However, the gun play isn't as good as the melee and the multiplayer is pretty poor.

Don't let Gamespot's review score fool you, if you enjoy blowing things up and causing destruction then Mercenaries 2 is your game. Despite some ocassional bugs and glitches the games graphics and sound effects are great and the co-op is a good addition to the game.

Lost Planet: Extreme Condition
![](http://image.gamespotcdn.com/gamespot/images/2003/all/boxshots2/931114_72582.jpg)
Lost Planet is a goodgae with great visuals and excellent design. The bos fights are some of the best in a game and make for some exciting fighting. The story could have been better but it doesn't take away anything from the gameplay. The mulitplayer is also pretty good but could have been expanded more to make it a lot better. It's not a bad game, just that there are games better.

Crackdown
![](http://image.gamespotcdn.com/gamespot/images/2003/all/boxshots2/930144_75054.jpg)
Crackdown's open world offers a lot in terms of gameplay, especially as your character has some cool superhuman abilities that allow you to jump from building to building. The graphics and explosions are great and as your abilities become more developed you'll enjoy it even more. The game has an OK online co-op mode but lacks any other solid multiplayer portion.

Stranglehold
![](http://image.gamespotcdn.com/gamespot/images/2003/all/boxshots2/928104_70354.jpg)
Stranglehold is a satisfying action game, emphasis on the action. The environments blow apart incredibly well and there are plenty of guns to use to blow your enemies apart. Your character also has a number of cool moves and abilities he an use making for some awesome scenes. However, the game is pretty short thanks to the short story and weak multiplayer and the gameplay can become repetitive.

Burnout is back on the 360 and as good as ever. The game now features a superb open world city where you can pick your races and more. The visuals are superb, as is the addicting multiplayer game. The music and voice acting is pretty poor, but it doesn't distract you from the crazy and exciting gameplay.
