What has a great campaign, that is cheaper? I don't want something new. Just like a year or two old, you know? I don't want Halo 3 or Gears. Is there anything with a great campaign?lahdeedah

So you're saying that The darkness which is one of the few shooters out with a good cast of characters,fun combat,and interesting story should get off the list? No it's there for a reason and i think it should stay.

I'm looking for a good multiplayer game I can play with my friends, preferably not a sports/racing/FPS game. I'm looking for an RPG like Fable 2, except at least 3 players. I know, I'm asking for something that may not exist but I'd appreciate if anyone could recommend something.

I think Too human is the closest thing. It only has two players though. I say rent it it's a love hate game and i enjoyed it a lot. If you enjoy looting and trying to find the best gear play thhe game.

fallout 3 or far cry 2?

at the minute i have halo 3, which is great, cod4, great but multiplayer gets a bit annoying, bioshock, brilliant but not got enough replay value i dont think, assassins creed, good but has no replay value as gets a bit repeatative, star wars force unleashed, good but not much replay value and pretty linear, and the orange box, completely awesome. i want a good open world rpg kind of game (for the 360) that will take a while to complete, with lots of replay value. im leaning towards farcry2, but i just want other peoples opinion. im also not sure i like the look of fable 2.

good-

massive open world. awesome graphics. very unlinear isnt it? variety of african environments. freedom to do missions how you want. multiplayer and map editor will probably have me going back for a while.

bad-

apparently not much of a story, me like a game with a good story. as far as i can tell nothing in common with far cry 1...but that doesn't really matter. multiplayer is apparently nothing new. not an rpg which is what im really loking for i think.

fallout 3

good-

i like the whole alernative reality of it. original, essential in games. i like quest missions kind of things. sounds like it has a great story. although i didnt own or barely play oblivion, i liked it, and would quite like a game like it.

bad-

im not sure i like the look of the vats system, i prefer to be doing things for myself. other combat looks a bit...clunky. no multiplayer as far as im aware.

after writing that im beginning to lean towards fallout now. you wait for ages for a decent game to come along, then a dozen come along at once. lol. im getting gears 2 anyway which will have awesome multiplayer, so multiplayer probably isnt a big issue.

well i got both game. fallout 3 as my first choice. imo it was a good choice. i enjoyed fallout 3 more than farcry 2. although it has been said farcry 2 takes time to get into it because its quite hard in the beginning. in saying this, farcry 2 does get abit repeative and is pretty linear when u think about. it just gives you different paths to get to from point a to b. but those paths are pretty linear, blocked by massive cliffs and mountain terrain

as for fallout 3, i cant really think of any bad thing about it, beside its unrealism weapons n such which is my dislike taste in games totally an opinion. VAT looks really cool but you do get over it pretty fast and turns out to be annoying due to the slowness gameplay. apart from that its a pretty highly addictive game.

i bought fallout 3 yesterday and farcry 2 today. after playing 3-4 hrs of farcry 2 i went back to fallout 3 and i just cant see myself going back to farcry 2 as of yet.

well im planning on getting a game pretty soon and i already have fallout 3. i dont play a lot but ill usually play any game so what do u guys think is the best out of these:

GOW2, Far Cry2, Fifa 09, Fable II, Left 4 Dead, Saints Row 2, CoD 5, and any other good titles coming out recently or already out that i forgot. any ideas?

Well i recently got an xbox 360 which came with some games, i then bought Fable 2 and Oblivion.Now i'm looking into getting xbox Live but i'm pretty skint on money at the moment and the price for the adapter is just ridiculous.Anyway i'm going to want two xbox live games to get me started and was just wondering which live game has the most people playing and which will give the best experience(well to the best of your oppinion anyway).

I'm leaning towards Gears of War 2 for one of them because i can see thats going to be big but i'm quite the confused one on another game thats xbox live worthy(by the way i'm only talking about the gaming not downloadable content)because i've never played xbox online.Oh and i'm aware Fable 2 is coop and i have Ghost Recon AWF 1 but i'm pretty sure that would be ancient to people now.

Gears of War 2 will be very popular, and if you have played the first game and liked it, then its a fairly safe bet you will like this one.

For your second game, if you are looking for another shooter, then the Call of Duty series is very popular. COD4 has been out around a year, but is still the most popular multiplayer game on Live, and has been almost all year. COD4 is set in the present and has a wide range of modern weapons. The next COD game, World at War is coming out soon, and expect that to be very popular. However they are going back to WW2 and setting it around Japan. Depending on your preference for fighting with modern weapons or historic ones you may prefer one or the other.

GRAW does still have people playing, but as you noted, it is very old for most people who have moved onto either GRAW 2, or the Rainbow 6 Vegas series.

The last huge shooter in terms of popularity is Halo 3. If you played the previous Halo games then its a must buy, if not then it is still a very popular shooter despite being over a year old. Bungie have been good at supporting it with new map packs, and a recent update has renewed interest in it.

Should i get COD:WAW or 007 quantum of solace-dBOMB9

If you are wanting it for the multiplayer I expect COD will be much more popular. I'm hearing mixed reviews about QoS, so not sure what to expect. It's easy to say - the best Bond game since Goldeneye, making it sound good, but really there hasn't been a good Bond game since Goldeneye

In past experiences any game based solely off a movie turns out bad. Now it is a Bond game which may vary, but I don't expect it to be that great. More than likely it'll be focused around completing the story based on the movie and not too much will be put in after that.

CoD is a much more solid game and it is the 5th edition of its kind so there will be improvements and stuff to the genre. If you're looking for multiplayer/Live action then this is your best bet.

It's hard to say considering I don't know much about that Bond game but if you want a safer choice I'd go with CoD.

I would recommend GTAIV, Mass Effect, Ninja Gaiden 2.

I wouldn't recommend Fallout3, Fable2, Saints Row2.

Why wouldn't you recommend Fallout 3?

Recommendation: Do not buy FarCry 2 (unless money isn't a big deal and you want something that will be fun for a little while)

Although the game has great visuals and a decent and realistic arsenal of weapons, the story completely blows (there hardly is one at all), all of the missions are repetitive and it's often unclear as to why you're doing what you're doing, the movement mechanics suck, I get hung up on small inclines all the time and the running and jumping just isn't smooth and fluid like it is in COD4, the world is huge and there is no fast travel and the gps map you get has no compass on it so that doesn't help one bit either.

However, the map editor is absolutely amazing and the possibilities for it are endless, BUT it's too bad that the multiplayer gameplay absolutely sucks and no one will ever play your amazing map anyway.

Sometimes I just fail to see what people like about some games, mostly besthedia games.

Ugly character models, blocky animation, clipping through things, no shadows, no animation blending. I just played GTAIV and Mass Effect, you can't fool me with that kind of crap anymore. Alot of people can see past things like that and really like it, its just not for me.

I honestly think sometimes Resident Evil4 on the pevious generation is more next gen than alot of these next gen games.

Plug in the old ps2 people. Smooth animation blending, actually intellegent AI, accurate bullet damage, excellent character models, motion capture, flim camera composition.

Your speaking strictly in terms of animation. Animation is not on the top of most people's list when judging a game, a video game is about the overall experience. I'd say both Fallout 3 and Oblivion get a 9/10 for visuals, and a 9.5/10 overall. These games are amazing, despite the fact that the character models might not have the most expressive faces or realistic shadows. Who gives a **** about that. Both Bethesda games are better than Mass Effect, and GTAIV. GTAIV was not all it was cracked up to be, and definately did not deserve a 10/10.
