About 8 out of 10 matches (sometimes more) there will be a kid playing who has to be less then 11 years old. Last night a gamer named Fenz, who was obviously very young, was being so distracting that the entire team did horrible and we lost.

Don't parents realize that their kids will be playing online with adults? They're exposing their kids to vulgar language, adult conversations, and mature content both with gameplay and online experience.

If I had a child as young as some of these gamers, I definitely wouldn't let them play games online that are rated M for Mature.

yo honestly i don't like to play wit little kids, sum of them have a big mouth on them thinkin they're all that, just pisses me off, especially if they're playing wit their little friends too, their squeeky little voices,

but to b fair, even though the game is rated M they should have the right to play, even tho its not good for them in anyway other then making em game addicts lol n it would b nice if they had no mic so we don't no they r freakin kids! arg! lol

Lazy parents that don't want to spend time with their kids so they stick them infront of the xbox with halo or any other sort of game. I'm sure they won't turn out anti-social....

I somewhat agree, it is the parents who are trying to get some "peace a quiet" and give their kids anything to shut them up for a little bit. Just remember the mute option is your friend! :D

yeah the main reason why 360 sells were that high during holiday season..every game should have a mute option like halo has. not only for annoying kids btw..

I wouldn't say its all kids(though majority) even some adults are annoying and have poor sportmanship. I don't care if the kids voice is really high as long as he isn't trying to grow his epeen and get too into a game. ...it is a game

I don't mind someone w/ a high voice. It's when they're disruptive and loud for no reason. Talk all you want man. I don't think anyone will care as long as your not bothering people.

Yeah that is truely annoying. That's why I don't even bother talking unless my team is actually talking strategy and calling out where people are. Other than that, I don't find a reason to talk on there during games. Unless I'm cursing at myself for dying, which is usually just under my breath.

Every little kid sounds the exact same to me. I usually just ask them if they are a guy or a girl....that usually gets them mad enough to leave or talk back.

If they don't leave then i usually just mute or laugh at them.

If you do that then they might try to be cool and start talking just tell them to shut up and beat the crap out of them if they are against you.

Same here, I don't have a problem with how someone's voice sounds until they start screaming and singing and carrying on nonsense.

When I was playing COD4 with a friend, he said he forgot the controls because he hadn't played in a while, he jokingly said "how do you shoot again? left trigger?" , and some kid, who must have been 10 at most, yelled through the mic all the different buttons and what they do. Everyone was telling him OK WE GET IT. Then the kid started cursing when he killed a player... he said his mom swears more than he does...

I can't stand kids either. Worst of all. I can't stand the ones that constantly betray their team. In Shadowrun, it has a voting system & it has to be unanimous. If one person thinks it's funny, the creep just stays in the game & keeps killing his own teammate. They really need more efficient ways to kick these punkass kids off the game. They get on the system & then just start killing everyone on their team & then yelling out "Sorry, I didn't mean to..haha.." & just keep saying that. The other kids that just ramble through the entire session, motormouths, I can't stand either. They really need to unplug them.

One of these days, perhaps they'll have an online adult network that can cut them off completely, or let them ruin the game with other kids their own age, so long as I don't have to put up with it.

As an adult player I find myself annoyed by both the young kids and the older kids too. It takes a little longer to mute them because of the lack of an in-game mute. I have reservations about muting though because I would like to see people who work together with the mic. Ive found though that in the big games this rarely happens, and only the smaller squad size games see much teamwork with the mic.

As to why there are little kids in COD4 - well, I know I have been a vid gamer since coleco/intelli-vision. I was about 5 when those were out. My parents would definitely not have let me play if I was exposed to the same level of vulgarity as what happens on Live! Today, however, I dont think parents have a clue as to what happens on Live and its one reason why kids have the mics in the first place - it mutes the voice option over their speakers so their parents can't hear whats going on.

I remember this one time when I was playing Halo 2 with my friends online, this kid modded the match so that we'd always respawn and die, so he just began to rack up points and than taunted us about how much we sucked at it. So my and my buddies set him straight by telling him mean things, like "You're mom doesn't love you" and stuff like that. He started crying over the mic, and got his dad on there, and he started cursing at us for hurting his feelings. Good times. :)

you guys complain about little kids when in reality 90% of the time teens and adults are the ones acting all immature in cod4. for example i enter a lobby and there's an argument going on.. usually two guys against another from the other team telling them to go you know what their you know what. then they all start screaming or making weird sounds. or you get the usual guy complaining about he got a team full of noobs. i've played a lot of cod4 online and i can honestly say i've onlye played with one little kid and he was really quiet, almost as if he felt scared about getting made fun of and only talked to agree on something.

A lot of gamers with high-pitched voices are actually girls. I know I've fallen into the trap of thinking they were small kids before. Just ask before you automatically criticize.

God, I couldn't agree more with this. I was playing last night and there was some kid who sounded like a 10yo girl singing, yelling, and insulting people through the mic non-stop. I find this at least once a night when playing. It is getting old. Mute is a good thing, but I should have to immediately start muting people the second I enter a lobby. I don't hate many things more than when some 10yo kid calls me a "n00b." The funny thing is, if any of these kids were to meet an adult in their 20s, they wouldn't be saying anything, they probably wouldn't even utter a word. I'm cool with talking smack if you are beating up on someone in the game, but these kids are just so annoying. There is a difference between "dude, you suck, I just owned you!" and racial slurs, yelling, saying the word gay or f4g every three seconds and singing the latest top 40 hits.

Well im 14 and ive noticed my voice is still a little high on the mic, so i do everyone a favor and dont use it! I wish to God everyone else would do the sametunasandwich395
Same here, but I'm going on 15 and I almost have enough for a 360, so I'm probably going to check what my voice sounds like, but when I play at my friend's house, I never get crap about my voice so I think I'm okay.

parents obviously have no idea what their kids are playing. I guarantee that when i was little, if my mom walked in just as i executed a fatality on Mortal Kombat, she'd have thrown my Super Nintendo out the window. Luckily she had no idea what games i was playing. I was a teenager when i was playing those games though. Xbox Live is a different story. I wouldn't want my kids listening to the foul mouthed, racist, and flat out annoying people on Xbox Live. Voice is being locked out for my kids when they start gaming online.
