All you've done in this thread is drop some names (Nas, L, Rakim), make horrible arguments, including disregarding people's points (which frankly are always 10x better than your own) because of a low post count, and reference Gucci's low-skill with zero evidence to support your claim (which makes it hard to believe that you've listened to everything Gucci has put out, plus anyone who has listened to Gucci would know that he is miles ahead of Soulja Boy). So the question is, what do you know about rap and why should we hold your taste in rap so highly?

EDIT: Btw for anyone who doesn't no, Black Milk's got a mixtape coming out with Rapper Big Pooh on the 12th called The Purple Tape. It's got Pooh rapping over beats Black made from Prince samples. Should be dope.

No one is saying Gucci is better than Rakim, it's just he's far from the bottom of the rap chain. But just because he isn't the best rapper doesn't mean he is destroying hip hop. He clearly has skills, you may just not appreciate him.

How many Gucci Mane mixtapes/songs/albums have you heard to have this opinion that Gucci Mane is one of the worst rappers of all-time? If you can't tell a dude's got skills from one mixtape, how many does it take to know that he is part of a joint effort that is currently taking out rap music?

lol @ you calling Gucci Mane ignorant for simplistic rhyming. Why don't you read the first post in this thread to get a view of what Gucci Mane's about, because that's anything but simplistic.

BTW, i heard of gucci mane the first day his "Icy" song was a new joint on BET...which is also why I was reluctant to ever listen to him before Orlandgreezy put me on. Calling gucci ignant, when Eminem is ignant in every sense of the world...SMH
