Well Bioshock destroyed Gears' water and only til Crysis came out and crapped all over it. Crysis is the first and only game to use the same water effects that cgi movies do.blues35301

I actually run Crysis on high settings on my SLI machine and to be honest, water-effects-wise this is much better.

Gears of War.

I had to pause the game just to rush over here and tell you guys.

I just reached the level when your "junky" vehicle breaks down at night and it's flooding water and rain. The amount of detail is absolutely spectacular - and that's coming from a PS3 owner. You can actually see the the plants "tilting" when the drops hit them. Any structure above ground drips like in real time it's absolutely beautiful. The river beneath looks like...well, like a REAL flowing river and not just some amature transparent liquid-wannabe.

One small catch though :)

This is running at 1280x1024 with everything turned on on my new pc beast.

Since I'm running the game at over 100 fps, it's not likely to look the same on the 360 I presume...

I'll say it wont flop at all since there are already more than numerous Gears fans.

Whether it looks different than the first one or not it's debateable but it doesnt matter.

First game was great. I just got it for my PC and it looks incredibly good on a high-end machine.

Also the chainsaw butchering just dont get any less entertaining even after the 100th time.

Meh. I think Ps3/360 do just fine compared too PC in graphics.

Usually when Hermits throw Crysis screens around there on Skulltrail Quad-SLI rigs, it's an illusion that Affordable PC's looks so much better than consoles imo.

angelkimne

It's far from being ONLY Crysis.

Every multi-plat looks a whole lot better on PC.

I'm originaly a cow but I decided to give myself a nice birthday present and bought:

3 way SLI 780I XFX

X2 260 GTX

4gb Mushkin 1000mhz

Q9450 Intel QuadCore

850W ThermalTake Toughpower

ThermalTake Armour MX+ Case

Now let me tell you this: YOU HAVE GOT TO GET YOURSELF ONE OF THESE BABIES OMG!!!

I love my PS3, I really do. Also I've always wanted to play Gears of War and some other numerous 360 games. Now let's be serious for a second. This setup blasts Gears, Grid, FEAR and the rest of the multi-plats at over 100(!!!) fps. It literally s***s down on any Cell\Xenos\RSX combination out there. I've tried varies of games on both my PS3 and the new rig. I must say that 30 fps is a complete joke. The difference is unimaginable not to mention with x16 antiliasing. It just doesnt get any crisper than this. Although it's a putty that my monitor only supports upto 1280X1024 :? I could have went FHD. I guess that endless cycle just keeps going and going. Now I'm gonna have to save up for a big ass screen TV.

What a load of crap! The average Bluray-rip is about 9gb and it's not equal at all with the original disc. Before streaming HD they need a REAL broadband internet which is something the most of us dont have.

and I can't decide wether to get a PC or Mac. I've never used a Mac before, but I hear good things about them. All I would be using the computer for would be internet, instant messaging, videos, music and the odd text document or something for school.

I first thought I would just get a regular Windows based PC, but have considered getting a Mac. I hear that they are alot easier to use and give the user alot less hassle. Low chances of you getting viruses or just general problems with your computer and stuff. But they are relatively expensive, and I don't really want to go and pay for something that isn't worth the money. I know most of you guys play PC games and would have PC as the obvious choice. But im not into PC gaming, and I just really want a computer that will be easy to use and give me no problems, I hear Macs are good like that. Is it true or would I just be better of saving my money and getting a Windows based computer?

Any advice would be great, thanks.

If you're planning on playing games - FORGET Mac.

Judging this game according to just 1.5 minutes of gameplay is pure dumbness.

The game doesnt even have a release date ffs!
