@dstackm I disagree with the inclusion of personal issues regarding sex equality etc in this GTA review but she, to be fair, played and rated Tomb Raider 8.5.
Never stated she wasn't allowed an opinion but when the review revisits her opinion again and again, the review becomes so subjected it becomes less of a review and more of a rant towards females being used in games.
It truly saddens me as a gamer to see people challenging the quality of this generation of games and to even class it as the worst generation is ridiculously naive and ignorant.
Not only were we blessed with games such as Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, Uncharted, Call Of Duty (despite the hate on the series, CoD 4 changed how first person shooters can be played), Battlefield series, Demon/Dark Souls, Metal Gear Solid IV, Fallout 3, Elder Scrolls Oblivion and Skyrim, Bioshock, Mass Effect and Red Dead Redemption etc etc, but it was also the true generation of online console gaming.
@gabrielperry @5cott Yes that's true, but that would be easier said than done. Then there's co-op and changing the rewards for players etc in order to feel satisfied. It all ends up becoming a mess of a game just to appeal to a wider audience wanting a walk in the park rather than playing the game the way it was desired. I have no doubt that difficult choices in most games is a must have, but definitely not for a Souls game.
The game is defined as being a challenging game of playing it properly (knowing tactics, planning and treading carefully around corners) rather than a run-in-the-mill slasher. Turning it easy would make it become that very thing it is not.
