@edant79 @5cott @ernelson1976 That's true, but my point was that having players playing in real time (like the previous two have) on different difficulties would cause problems. They would have to keep easy players mixed with easy players and then that gets rediculous
@ernelson1976 There would be issues with PvP for starters if you're playing easymode with max out top equipment, whereas other players similar soul level on hard would be struggling?
@gabrielperry The game is based on rewarding the player for overcoming difficult challenges. Having reduced difficulty would reduce the satisfaction in the game.
And then there would be issues with PvP - what if a player was further in the game with better gear due to being on easy versus a guy same level struggling to make ends meat?
Difficulty choices would restrict the value of the game itself. I would argue that difficulty options in most games is a good thing but for the Soul series, hell no. The Soul games thrive on being challenging and overcoming. The difficulty is what makes the series what it is.
From other rumors, I've heard that 'always online' is true but the idea of cutting off your games after 3 minutes is false. It may well turn out to be like the current xbox dashboard when it cannot display everything. But delaying their reveal since Orth's tweets and not even putting the matter to bed there and then disappoints me hugely - It's almost trying to hide it. Surely they realise the damage this has already caused and working hugely in favour of the PS4 on a global scale without them needing to even pass judgement. You would of thought if the rumours were completely fabricated then Microsoft should of dealt with it and earn their fans trust back and end the debate.....
@snipekill360 @BadMrSnake @5cott Metal Gear is one of my all time gaming series. To be honest, my PS3 is for Sony exclusives - MGS4, Uncharted, KZ, Resistance. But all my third party games i get for 360.
