i'm not really good at explaining stuff but since the devs are taking advantage of the blu-ray's space, they can pretty much design a bigger level as they want and even have as many people w/o lag.

just simply try putting 40 people in Halo 3 online in a bigger map... does it lag..??

in RFoM, the game ismainlysupported by it's large maps via blu-ray, so during online play, all the cell does is support the moving characters (40 MP) and the 'shattered glasses' which has enough rams to run the multiplayerplus being host by 'dedicated servers' hence no lag.

just put it this way..:

blu-ray- holds the maps and images

cell - moves the things inside that blu-ray (characters, shattered glasses, etc..)

'dedicated server' - hosts the game rather than people online, thus lag free

if Halo 3 had dedicated servers then it would be able to top 32 - 40 MPs online and can even set on a bigger map W/O LAG.

seriously, is $5 monthly fee on XBL really that worth it??

i can simply put in my Warhawk, go online, and see 32 people moving - shooting, on tanks, turrets, warhawks, etc.. AT THE SAME TIME AND ON THE SAME SCREEN W/O LAG.

Deihmos

The problem is who is going to provide those dedicated servers? Does warhawk have enough dedicated servers for everyone or maybe not that many people play it online. When the dedicated servers are full what do you do?

Who is going to provide those dedicated servers..??

Let these systems answer that for ya bud...

Last I heard the servers were full most of the times so people had to create P2P games. That was when the game launched so i doubt that many people are still playing.

facts >>>>>>> rumors

do you have any idea how many people are playing online at this time, (while you and I are typing these posts) RIGHT NOW??

day, night, midnight, dawn, morning --- i would say an average of more than 500 people play online on ALL times.

Compare 500 to how many people play Halo online everyday. There is no way Microsoft would be able to provide enough dedicated servers for those players.

woops sorry, forgot to scroll down... 5000 people AT LEAST online, cuz i'm seeing servers that has only 16-24 MPs on them.

but i'm positive there's more. i lost count. :x

what i don't get is the review of resistance saying great uneek weapons but cons brings nothing new to the fps gene. but there no comment about that on halo really so what did halo 3 bring to the fps error really. this is what im thinking that the resistance review they were trying to figure out how to bring down the review score because for a launch title and for playstation first party game resistance was its first of its kind in the family on the sony console it should of lived up to its hype. they should of rated it as a launch title instead of comparing it to 360 second year games. plain and simple.GARRYTH

it's basically just the fanbase that's why i gave up listening to gaming websites' reviews.

i review my games based on my expectations, not on the game itself.

the main reasons why Resistance can hold more players than Halo 3 is because:

it hasa bigger space (blu-ray)

more powerful processor (cell)

dedicated servers (plus no online fee)

:P

[QUOTE="Arsenal325"][QUOTE="rexoverbey"][QUOTE="cf2012"]

[QUOTE="Shift05"]Maybe becuase with a 360 you will spend $350, instead of spending $900 + $500.rexoverbey

it will be 400 for ps3 and dont forget you have to add 50 for your xbox live so it equals out.

Don't forget adding a $100 PS2 because of no B/C. Also don't forget adding $20 for headset, $20 for component cable, and don't forget adding $ to actually buy a Xbox 360 to play real games on.

hmm ok.. well then have fun buying Wifi for 360. $100... o and how about a HD-DVD add on for around 200... maybe a play and charge kit for 20.. an extra 20 gig hard drive to match ps3's 40gigs... see i can list stuff you dont need too!

Wii? Xbox 360 has plenty of games without Wii. B/C is standard ;) HD-DVD no thanks I can stream HD content from my 360, plus 360 has full D/L HD movies. Plus I have a PC/PS3....but I bought my 360 as a gamemachine not a movie player. Plus enjoy paying an extra $50 for rumble.

i think he said "WiFi" not "Wii"... LoL

The Xbox Blades are the best. For the following reasons:

1. I don't need to use a gimicky remote to use it.
2. It's not complex like the XMB.
3. Download Blade is standard.
4. Blades look cooler and sound better than XMB? Random 3 letters? Lulz.
5. I can customize my Blades. Can't do that with PS3 and Wii.

Jesus-Halo-God

LoL, how would you know about 1, 2, and 3 if you didn't even know what XMB is...

You cant customize an XMB only if you dont own a PS3.

all systems' interiors have their own cons and pros but for me, the XMB are more friendly user and technical plus i can customize it with my PSP remote.
