AQWBlaZer91 Channel Update: 28/05/12: Unfinished Reviews Complete, ScrewAttack, Gamespot Videos and Games to look forward to this E3;

So far guys Last week I had quite an enjoyable week and I'm to explain what I've done so far, be prepared for a mouth full of speeches.

Unfinished Reviews Complete

Gamespot

I finally finished two reviews that I originally started last year but however I never finished them due to other games keeping me side tracked. The reviews were Gears of War 2 and Far Cry Instincts Predator. Finally they are finished and I also did another for good measure and that was Sonic Labyrinth for the GameGear since it was recently released now on the 3DS Virtual Console. It is still known as the absolute "WORST" Sonic game ever made. For the next couple of days I hopefully plan on doing more reviews so please subscribe for more.

ScrewAttack?s Screwin Around Halo Reach Free Friday

Screwattack

On Friday 25th May ScrewAttack held up a lobby for G1's to play on Halo Reach with Bryan and ScrewAttack's boss himself Stuttering Craig. If you don't know who ScrewAttack is, it's a company in the US where it's run by "Stuttering" Craig Skistimas and they do shows were they showcase games from past, modern and also games that are coming out. These shows include "Hard News", "SideScrollers", "Clip of the Week", "Screwin' Around", "ScrewAttack Top 10's" and "DEATH BATTLE". I decided to take part in their Halo Reach Live and I played 3 different games with them. I played Race and CTF with Bryan and also Stuttering Craig took over and played the SWAT gametype with us. I lost all those games but I was amazed at how well we done against each other. I do need to refresh my skills a little on my 360 if I ever want to beat Craig. I had a great time with myself and everyone online.

Gamespot Videos

Gamespot Videos

I have yet to know if whatever or not that the Gamespot's video uploader is working properly cause I having some issues with it. If anyone knows about the problem and knows about what video format type I should use then please give me a message. By the way I use the WMV Format.

Games to look forward to this E3

AQWBlaZer91 Channel Update: 16/05/2012 Challenges, Reviews and Videos

Updates for me to talk about:

Video Game Challenges

Video Game Reviews

Video Game Challenges

I recent started to challenge myself into some games that I remember so much. I?m starting with the Light Gun games because these games are the easiest to do and some of them can be challenging like my recent Time Crisis Project Titan playthrough. I can?t record my play-through using my television due to bad quality with one camera and I don?t have a decent camera to work with. If you want to check these out then you?ll need to check my Video Game Challenges List Blog where it shows all my completed games using certain goals. What the goals are will be for you to find out for yourself.

Video Game Reviews

Yes I know and I?ll say this, I?ve been getting very sloppy with my reviews so far. Well to my defence I?ve recently done Gears of War 2 on the XBox 360 which was one review I should have finished a year ago. I also going to work on getting the other review that I started last year. I?m also going to do when I ever get the chance Sonic Labyrinth since it?s now available on the 3DS Virtual Console. I know my reviews will be outdated but this the whole concept of my reviews before I?ll eventually get the job in doing some.

Game Videos

I was going to upload more videos but however recently the site has had some problems where the videos aren?t uploading properly. I?ve no idea how that is happening but hopefully that gets fixed while I try other methods in the meantime.

AQWBlaZer91's Top 10 Countdown: The Top 10 Video Game Franchise that shoud DIE!!

AQWBlaZer91's Top 10 Countdown:

The Top 10 Video Game Franchise that shoud disappear DIE!

To be fair there are franchises we still love and play to death but however there are some gaming franchises that are taking one wrong step too far, leaving so many aggravated gamers to be displeased with the amount of effort that the developers have made. Which are the 10 Franchises that the companies needs to let go off and disappear from the gaming landscape forever.

10: Dynasty Warriors

Developer: TOEI

dynasti2.jpg

In these Dynasty Warrior games all you do in the game walk from one area to the next and mash the same attack button on the same enemies over and over and over again. We wish that this could change with the amount of sequels it's still getting otherwise we are better off not even bothering with the next war that goes on.

9: AdventureQuest

Developer: Artix Entertainment

l_warpforce_02.jpg

The indie company Artix Entertainment has recently made plenty of success with 2008s MMO RPG AdventureQuest Worlds but recently they gave us a terrible expansion pack to a game we never cared about called Warpforce, make another MMO with ridiculous super heroes called Herosmash, Epicdual which was a shallow PVP title at best and also a Pony VS Pony rumble game which is simply ridiculous stuff. The best advice is to put all those awful games aside and perhaps only work on AQWorlds alone unless you can come up with something new. If not then perhaps Ebilcorp can have what was stolen from you.

8: Tony Hawk

Developer: Robomodo

tony-hawk-ride-screenshot.jpg

The professional board skating got a reasonable spin back in the 90s but their reboots on newer consoles just never the dip right. Making a board controller to control the game was obviously a big mistake for anyone to make with mechanics that doesn't even work properly you'll end up falling over and hurting yourself in real life. Nothing else as changed for Tony Hawk when he had enough of that trash coming. We hope this stop before anymore gets hurt seriously.

7: Leisure Suit Larry

Developer: Replay Games

Leisure Suit Larry

This perverted playboy has always stepped on the wrong side of the law and this becomes worse for him when Box Office Bust become one of the most offensive games we ever had to put up with. Leisure Suit Larry deserves nothing more than to have himself smacked in the face and hopefully learns never to make more or even any remakes or ports.

6: Command & Conquer

Developer: EA

command-conquer-generals-2-first-details

Westwood Studios kicked start the series impressively well until Westwood left the battlefield leaving EA to carry on the fight for them. The more recent instalments failed to capture the essence and style that the series became known for. EA needs to head to new territory if the franchise is forever to survive otherwise it's time to put this war to rest.

5: South Park

Developer: Iguana Entertainment, Appaloosa Interactive, Acclaim Entertainment, Tantalus Interactive, Doublesix, Other Ocean Interactive

southp18_640w.jpg

The show was South Park was hilarious in every right possible but the amount of bad games that some game companies made becomes no laughing matter. Its attempt at a First person shooter was horrifying at best with its awful graphics and repetitive voice work that gets annoying very quickly, a racing game that was a terrible Mario Kart wannabe and party game that incredibly boring and recently a tedious platformer game where it had chaotic level design, Cheap and unfulfilling difficulty by its poor camera and Stunted jumping mechanics. There is a new South Park that is supposed to be an RPG but unless that's any good then we're better off killing Kenny and kicking the whole show of the gaming landscape.

4: Job Simulators

Developer: Excalibur Publishing Limited

Farming Simulator 2012 3d 9

Every single year and every single time on the PC and mostly recent;y on the 3DS there has to be a Simulator about everyday jobs that people do in real life. The problems with these Simulators is that they aren't designed proberly and suffer with gulitches and bugs. These Simulators were simply unrealistic and simply unenjoyable. Excalibur Studios we would kindly ask for you to stop making these horriable Simulations otherwise you're going to put everyone out of their jobs to these abmonations.

3: Dragon Ball Z

Developer: Bandai Namco Games

dragon-ball-z-ultimate-tenkaichi-screens

The sagas have finished and all the Dragon Ball Z Movies are released in English but it seems that every single year Bandai Namco still makes one Dragon Ball Z game after another. Budokai 3 is still one of the best Dragon Ball Z titles ever but the rest of the other games are just trash that causes fans to go out in a furious rage. A Dragon Ball Z game that works for the Kinect would sound promising but however it's time for us to put these Dragon Balls out of anyone's reach so that nobody wishes for anymore games. If I had those I'll make a wish to make all the bad games disapear.

2: Kingdom Hearts

Developer: Square Enix

Recoded_Traversetown.jpg

Kingdom Hearts I and II were great and fun enough for kids who want to hang around with their Disney and Final Fnatasy characters but ever since after Kingdom Hearts II that the series heart went heartless. We didn't care about all the spinoff titles including the upcoming 3DS Kingdom Hearts game that isn't Kingdom Hearts III. Kingdom Hearts III is all we ever wanted but isn't that so hard to ask for.

1: Final Fantasy

Developer: Square Enix

square_enix_final_fantasy_xiii2_1180934_

Only one side of me wants to say that Final Fantasy VII was one of the best titles to be released on the PSOne. The rest of my side says that Final Fantasy should stay away for good if Square Enix can't make a good Final Fantasy game without a remake being counted for. Not only was Final Fantasy VIII so bad but X-2 was like watching a 60 hour movie or Barbie, XI was a thief at being a pay to play game that's already burnt onto a disc, XII was an uncontrollable mess with bad battle mechanics in a generically bad sandbox environment, The After Years was a total after thought with storylines which had zero progression, short as well as being disjointed with weak narrative, XIII was just unbelievably bad with its inconstant difficulty and bad character storyline progression as well as being too linear, XIV was just an MMO train wreak and this we witness Final Fantasy XII-2 which once again offers nothing but disappointment. If a good Final Fantasy game is too much to ask for then it's time for us to leave our fantasies behind and also calm ourselves with either Pokemon or the Tales series which makes Final Fantasy the franchise that should just disappear for good.

AQWBlaZer91's Top 10 Countdown:

The Top 10 Video Game Remakes

Pok%C3%A9mon_Red_and_FireRed_comparison.

In todays world many fans often never look back at their old titles when they complete them but however there are some that think that the game they missed so much when they enjoyed it back then should be re-mastered on a next gen system. They were plenty of remakes lying around to be made but requests just never happened or they have been executed poorly. This countdown shows the best effort of bringing an old game from the past onto a newer console. Whatever if you wanted better graphics, improved soundtrack or enhanced gameplay these are the 10 well deserved re-mastered classics from the past.

10: Counter Strike: Source

9: Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes

Platform: Gamecube

Developer: Konami

Release Date: NA: March 9th 2004, JP: March 11th 2004, PAL: March 26th 2004

02.jpg

The Twin Snakes is a remake of one of the best titles for the PSOne. The GameCube update features graphical improvements over the original. Using the game engine from Metal Gear Solid 2 with First Person gunplay, new cinematic cut scenes that are redone with a revised translation and recorded voice acting with the English cast from the original. The enemy AI was improved as well as retaining several features including the storyline that made the original game amazing as it was back then. It's a shame that it got released on a system that really didn't get as much spotlight as the PS2 and the original Xbox.

8: Lara Croft Tomb Raider Anniversary

Platform: PS2/Wii/Xbox 360

Developer: Crystal Dynamics

Release Date: PlayStation 2/Microsoft Windows: EU: 1st June 2007, NA: 5th June 2007, PlayStation Portable: NA: 9th August 2007, EU: 26th October 2007, AUS: 2nd November 2007, Xbox 360: NA: 23rd October 2007, EU: 26th October 2007, Wii: NA: 13th November 2007, EU: 7th December 2007, Mac OS X: NA: 15th February 2008, PlayStation 3: NA: 22nd March 2011, EU: 25th March 2011, AUS: 31st March 2011

lara-croft-tomb-raider-anniversary-20070

In 1996 Tomb Raider for the PC/Saturn and PSOne was a well praised Action/Adventure game which physics were outstanding and the gameplay were innovative for its time. It was a chance for another video game Heroine to make the scene. After a very long while of questionable sequels including Angel of Darkness which was the worst of them, Lara Croft returns to her original title for her 10 Year anniversary celebration with her remake of the original. Crystal Dynamics reboot the franchise with skilfully balanced involved set of environmental assault causes with just the right amount of handholding to keep the action flowing. There were also Wii specifically events made for the Wii version such as Lara having to find a cog and place it, along with smaller gears already in the mechanism, in the proper position to make a working switch alongside swimming working with Nunchuck motions and Wii Remote handling her guns. There's no better time for Lara Croft Anniversary to have Crystal Dynamics take over for the series.

7: Bionic Commando Rearmed

Platform: Xbox 360/PS3

Developer: Crystal Dynamics

Release Date: PSN: JP: August 13th 2008, NA: August 14th 2008, EU: August 15th 2008, XBLA: August 13th 2008, PC: August 14th 2008

374_content_lightbox.jpg

Bionic Commando Rearmed became one of best downloadable titles when launched back in 2008. As an updated and enhanced version of the original 8-bit NES game, this rebirthed 2-D, side-scroller features updated weapons (such as using your bionic arm to launch barrels), mini-games for hacking into enemy networks and full cooperative play with a friend. It's a shame that its sequel felt shallow and didn't focus on what NES title was known for.

6: Ninja Gaiden Sigma

Platform: PS3

Developer: Team Ninja

Release Date: PlayStation 3: JP: June 14th 2007, NA: July 3rd 2007, EU: July 6th 2007, AUS: July 13th 2007, PS Vita: NA: February 22nd 2012, EU: February 22nd 2012

ninja-gaiden-sigma-20070629034236870-000

Before Team Ninja tagged alongside Nintendo to take Samus into a cinematic storyline that fans would say it's either unnecessary or worthwhile, they had the Ninja Gaiden rebirthed on the original Xbox which was a gift for fans but remained the same as it was on the NES. Sigma is a reboot of the 2003 Ninja Gaiden that was well acclaimed for its day. Sigma includes all the great features of the 2003 title such as the interactive third-person 3-D environments, better graphics, smoother performance and the new Survival mode which is downloadable on the PlayStation Network. The game also has some gameplay tweaks as well as including Mission Mode on top of the Story Mode. Ninja Gaiden Sigma is an impressive remake of the more difficult titles made so far alongside it's sequal.

5: Punch Out

Platform: Nintendo Wii

Developer: Nintendo

Release Date: NA: May 18th 2009, EU: May 22nd 2009, JP July 23rd 2009, AUS August 27th 2009

punchout-wii2.jpg

Punch Out on the NES was one of the most intense videogame challenges that fans have witnessed since their battle against Boxing Champion Mike Tyson and Mr Dream when the Mike Tyson license was lost since 1990. The 1994 sequel on the SNES made some gameplay tweaks but however that was the last knock out it had. The Wii-make of this beloved boxing game takes all the addictive gameplay, over-the-top boxing mayhem and borderline discriminating dark humour to a new technological level. Primarily, the introduction of the Wii remote gave the Punch Out!! Experience new life since Wii Sports brought boxing into the mix, getting the players involved in the action but still staying true to the rhythmic boxing patterns and timed knockouts. If the Wii Remote controls is not enough for the fans then the game has Classic Controls for the Wii Remote for fans to relive the NES timeline.

4: Tales of Phantasia

Platform: PSOne/Gameboy Advance/PSP

Developer: Namco

Release Date: PSOne: JP: December 23rd 1998, Absolute Zero Translations December 24th 2007: English Patch, GBA: JP: August 1st 2003, NA: March 6th 2006, EU: March 31st 2006, PSP: JP: September 6th 2006 (Full Voice Edition), JP: August 5th 2010 (Cross Edition)

0.jpg

Namcos Tales of Phantasia in Japan helped the franchises popularity thanks to its 48MBbit technology, amazingly likable characters such Cress Albane, Chester Barklight and Arche Kleine and also the enjoyable battle system that was both engaging and challenging. Tales of Phantasia has had a great reasonable set of remakes for both the PlayStation systems and the Gameboy Advance. The PlayStation versions receive the most praise for its extras including tweaks to the Battle System, improved storyline, extra dungeons and also optional characters like the young 11 year old ninja girl Suzu Fujibayashi on the first remake and also the Time traveller Rondoline in the second PSP remake. Thanks to Absolute Zero and Phantasian Productions that is still working on their English Translation gamers are properly able to play through one of the Top RPG remakes we've seen and perhaps maybe in the future Namco might encourage a proper Tales of Phantasia remake outside of Japan besides the GBA version. Tales of Phantasia still proves that these Tales games will never die.

3: Street Fighter II Enhanced Editions

Platform: Multiplatform

Developer: Capcom

street-fighter-hd1716786365_2bfe7a1255_o

Street Fighter II become one of the most credited games in the arcades which helped other companies including Capcomss rival SNK to produce other fighting games to further popularize the fighting genre. The game spawned numerous ports onto the home as well as following a series of updated versions, each refining the play mechanics, gameplay balancing, graphics, character roster and other aspects of the game. From making the 4 CPU only characters playable in Champion Edition, making the game faster in Turbo Hyper Fighting, adding 4 extra characters in Super Street Fighter II and introducing hidden boss Akuma still stands as incredibly difficult to beat in Super Turbo. It has had an Anniversary release in 2003 and finally making its way into HD detail on the 360 and PS3. There is simply no other videogame that goes out of control with series of remakes than Street Fighter II.

2: The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D

Platform: Nintendo 3DS

Developer: Nintendo

Release Date: JP: June 16th 2011, EU: June 17th 2011, NA: June 19th 2011, AU: June 30th 2011

the-legend-of-zelda-ocarina-of-time-3d-n

One of the most critically acclaimed video games of all time deserved a remastered release on Nintendos new 3DS handheld. What could have made this amazing game better was to include the game itself with a version of Master Quest which the dungeons are mirrored and tougher enemies and bosses. Target courses which are easier to do thanks to the Gyro Controls, Dungeons that are challenging to handle with the help of Nintendo videos but you have your own wits to relay on when completing each dungeon before you face off against a nasty boss. The entire game itself has reasonably aged well and graphics shows signs of improvement along with the gameplay remaining nearly intact with the lock on targeting, automatic jumping, horse riding and a storyline that has plenty of twists help make Ocarina of time not only a true classic that lives on today but also one of the finest video game remakes on this countdown.

1: Super Mario Advance/DS

Platform: Gameboy Advance/Nintendo DS

Developer: Nintendo

Super Mario Advance 4Super Mario 64 DS

Nintendos red Italian plumber has had numerous adventures to rescue the very same princess from the same dragon time and time again but also he has had plenty of outstanding remakes on Gameboys to the Nintendo DS handheld systems. From working with the Advance titles like the English Mario Bros 2, Super Mario World, Yoshis Island and one of the best NES games of all time Super Mario Bros 3. The advance ports allowed players to play the original Mario Bros arcade enhanced with enhanced graphics, switch between Mario and Luigi in Super Mario World and include all the SNES extras including enhanced graphics and hidden areas where expert players can exploit or get from tips videos. When the Nintendo DS was launched Mario brought one of the favourable Nintendo 64 classics Super Mario 64 with impressive additions like more playable characters and a few Minigames that you can play with friends. New Super Mario Bros for the DS improved on my many aspects of old Mario games and gave out new powerups including Blue Koopa Shell, the Mini Mushroom for Mario to run on water like Jesus Christ and the Mega Mushroom where Mario grows massive size and players can ram through the Levels without requiring to jump. Mario has plenty of enjoyable remakes that are both impressive and still fun to play after all these instance years making this the spot for the Top 10 Video Game remakes.

Final Fantasy Marathon's Cancelation

I'm sorry to say this but I'm going to cancel the Final Fantasy Marathon that I was supposed to be doing, due to the huge of distractions I'm getting from playing other games. I really should have focused on getting Final Fantasy V done with during the beginning of the year but I had the Nintendo 3DS along with my problems with the Xbox 360 to sort out. I only managed to get of my butt to do that playthrough 2 month later and only finished it within a couple of weeks. I also had the Laptop from my brother moments after to set up and insure that my emulators were all in working order. My family is also throwing in different shows to my liking which is also slowing progress greatly such as Bleach, Black Adder series and also I started watching Screwattack videos which are extremely funny. I honestly don't have the patience to sit through all that when I had my work to focus on. Another reason is that I can't seem to find ways that I could motivate myself into getting on with the marathon like I'm playing or reviewing something else when 'm supposed to do the one which I was supposed to do instead. On the bright side I beat through 5 games so far and maybe one day I'll start playing through Final Fantasy VI because I still want to kill all the heroes in the entire franchise. I'm truly sorry that I'm unable to continue the marathon and I've let you all down but I'll try to play through only the games that I've got so far because I honestly hate all the newer games X-2 and above since Square Enix ruined those games for everyone. I'll still upload boss battles on Youtube and then Images which shall show me defeating the heroes of the series.

Top 10 Returns

Since I'm cancelling the Final Fantasy Marathon I'll finally go back to making Top 10 countdowns which will be great for me but I'll only be doing one countdown list every month due to other productions. I have a few Countdowns planned like the Top 10 Hardest Video Games or Top 10 Underrated Games.

Gamespot Videos Return and Fix

Since I did some work on the Marathon I didn't upload as many videos on Gamespot but however there's been problems with the site that won't get uploaded properly no matter what video format you use so I'm hoping that they'll fix that because I'm currently making a few more. When that finally fixes I'll put them up. Youtube will have a proper playthrough of any game I'm interested in playing through.

Operation Rainfall

In the UK Pandora's Tower is now released and on the trailer it looks quite great for an Action RPG. Xenoblade Chronicles is finally released in US finally to any North American gamers who love JRPG's should pick this game for chances of more JRPG's including the Tales series to come over. Hopefully The Last Story and Pandora's Tower will come to US soon so hang tight and enjoy those great titles. I plan to get all of these because Xenoblade looks amazing; The Last Story is a game that makes Final Fantasy very jealous of its superior gameplay that XIII-2 failed to accomplish.

Edited Tales of Phantasia PSOne and AdventureQuest Worlds Reviews

I plan to go back to 2 of my oldest reviews I've done since AdventureQuest Worlds feels unfinished with plenty of misspelled lines which I now find ridiculous to read and also I never covered all the available features of it so I'll redo this sometime. I beat Tales of Phantasia on the PSOne and reasons for deleting is because I got more notes to change and additions to it and change the review score for it. Hopefully these reviews won't take too long to make.

Finish Gears of War 2 and Far Cry Instincts Predator Reviews

Last year I started on reviews of Gears of War 2 and Far Cry Instincts Predator or the Xbox 360 and I was supposed to get those finished but however other games I got took my eyes of that into playing something else and also by that time I never had the original Gears of War game to review until now. Now that I've actually reviewed Gears of War 1 I'm ready to play through Gears of War 2 and also I never beat Far Cry Instincts Predator yet and it has been a long while since I've touched the game. Hopefully I'll get on with these reviews sometime.

Twitter account made

Recently I made myself a Twitter account cause I started watching ScrewAttack videos which a videogame community site that's hosted in Texas and they make so many funny videos dispute their crude humour. I've so far been watching their "Screwin Around" videos where they sit down and play some games and chat with the audience which is cool and it works better with Twitter since you can send messages to them than using other sources. If you wish to subscribe to me on Twitter then my username is AQWBlaZer91.

AdventureQuest Worlds Status

I haven't been on it has much but I've playing the game daily to do all the daily stuff such as getting AC Coins and Tokens for the next Job I'm getting. I'm planning to find some way that I can get some months of membership along with some coins which costs around 5000 Battleon Points. I can do this slowly by doing different offers which only give little amounts of points but it certainly takes forever to get some and I only about over a thousand so far. I just hate when WHSmith and Clinton Cards took away all the AQWorlds upgrade Giftcards without any given reason. They should have given the people a chance to get some especially for me since I haven't got a Credit Card to get some Battleon Points. We gamers in the UK simply get no love at all for the right games these days.

Tales of Symphonia Week Challenge

Since I aborted the Final Fantasy Marathon I've decided to take on a Tales of Symphonia challenge because I felt like challenging myself on a Tales game and this one happens to be one of my favourites next to Tales of Phantasia on PSOne and Tales of Vesperia on Xbox 360. My challenge is too play through Tales of Symphonia on ½ EXP on a Low Level on Normal through the Main Story only with no optional encounters and random fights, only forced encounters with most of my stuff retained from previous playthrough besides my Artes. I have started doing this from Friday 13th at 9:30 PM till 12:30 AM. Things have relaxed in my House so I'm going to play from 7:30 PM till 12:00 AM. I'm unable to tell you of my progress because I didn't bother to make blogs about them. I'll tell you about my most recent episode so far.

Tales of Symphona 7-Day Challenge: Tuesday 18th April 2012

I fought against Regal in the forest and won with no deaths at about Level 18 and then afterwards got him in my party. Presea Leaves and we took on the Toise Volley Mines defence system and again won with no deaths. I made sure to talk to the Gnome that was in the Mine so I gave him a potion and also went back after the mines to fight some more Knights and they were easy. Colette gets kidnapped, Presea comes back and also worked my way through the Temple of Lighting trying to get my memory of the dungeon back. Volt wasn't too hard but at Level 21 I think I managed to win without any deaths. I'm now at the Tellehalla Renegade Base where my next challenge awaits and I'm currently Level 23 after solving the puzzle where you have to fight different sets of fights which will give you codes for the door and they are random or each playthrough I believe. I'm outside ready to fight using Lloyd, Zelos, Raine and Regal which can all heal which will make the fight easier. If that plan doesn't work then I'm bringing Genis in.

Youtube Videos

I've got 4 videos to compress and upload on Youtube and I'll be doing plenty of typing on these videos and they don't take very long to upload after compressing using Movie Maker. All the videos are based on the Friday the 13th event on AQWorlds with the evil bunny.

These are current updates so hopefully I'll get on with these sometime without distractions.

max payne 3

One of the top Third Person Shooters that showcased Bullet Time mechanics just like the Matrix movies now gets a nice reboot. Max Payne 3 will feature the over-the-shoulder zoom aiming and cover mechanics. However, these will just serve as garnish to the game's run-and-gun shooting. Max Payne 3 makes return of bullet-time in action sequences, which the franchise is notable for. A "Last Man Standing" mechanic, which gives Max a reprieve from death for a small period if he's got one painkiller on him. Max Payne 3 retains the shoot-dodge mechanic from the previous games. Max will also be able to stay grounded after a dive, which enables him to shoot 360 degrees around. Rockstar has blended physics and animation, so that when Max dives around, he does so appropriately according to his surroundings. Through advanced utilization of the Euphoria physics engine, shooting and killing enemies in Max Payne 3 will look noticeably more realistic than in any preceding Rockstar games as well. New to the series are cinematic action movements, essentially interactive cut-scenes. The game's online Multiplayer features maps and modes that dynamically change within a match, as well as reward, ranking and clan systems. It's good to see that Max Payne can still be known as " The Payne to the Max".

As the game is being made by Capcom, with Namco being involved more in the licensing of the Tekken cast, the Gameplay will be based on the 2D Gameplay of Street Fighter as opposed to the Tekken series, and will feature projectile moves such as the Hadouken. Being developed by Capcom, the core Gameplay is similar to that of the Street Fighter series, incorporating elements such as Super Combos, as well as EX Attacks from Street Fighter IV. Players each choose two fighters from the Street Fighter and Tekken series, both sets of characters are controlled using Street Fighters 6-button system, however it has been revealed that the Tekken characters will be able to perform Tekken combos using the primary four buttons in a similar fashion to the Tekken 4-button system. As fights go on, players build up power in a three sectioned meter at the bottom of the screen referred to as the "Cross Gauge", which allow the player to perform various techniques depending on how much of the gauge is filled, such as EX Attacks, Cancels, Super Arts and various Cross techniques. As Asbel Lhant a boy responsible for his actions in failing to protect his dearest friends, he decides to enlist himself in a Knight's Academy within the capital in order to gain the power to protect others. The term F in the title stands for Future as it showcases the events following 6 months after playing the events of the main storyline. It's been over 3 years since it's launch as a Japan oly Wii game but fans should be excited that the Tales Series is finally answering to the English fans that want the games so badly. Square Enix should learn a thing or two from this installment with their terrible Final Fantasy installments.

4: Tomb Raider
Platform: Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
Developer: Crystal Dynamics
Release Date: Q3 2012

tomb raider

Lara Croft is back for a reboot of the Tomb Raider series. 21 year old Lara Croft journeys to an island off the coast of Japan. Before anchoring at bay, the ship is cleaved in two by an unforeseen storm leaving Lara separated from any other survivors and washed ashore. She must endure physical and emotional torture in order to survive the island. The game begins with Lara devoid of any weapons, tools or essentials such as food and water, which you must search for in order to survive. Sections of the island are restricted until Lara is able to perform specific physical abilities achieved via a "skill system", or obtained the necessary equipment to advance. At frequent base camps throughout the world, you can combine pick-ups to create new items, improve Lara's abilities and/or fast travel to previously discovered base camps to avoid copious amounts of backtracking. There is a "much larger emphasis" on combat, as instead of using a lock-on aiming system akin to previous Tomb Raiders this game will employ a manual "free aim" mechanic. The game introduces a "survival instinct" that Lara can use to solve puzzles. It will highlight useful items for use if the player is stuck in solving a puzzle. Some elements of the world crumble when Lara stands on them for too long. The player will also be able to change direction mid-air. Puzzles will be more complex than previous titles, it will use elements of fire, water, wind, and friction. Helping hands and UI will be kept to a minimum, except for indications of burnable objects, health items, and during quick time events. This Tomb Raider game will most likely the reboot of an old franchise with the famous heroine being taken to a much darker tone.

3: XCOM

Release Date: NA March 6th 2012, EU March 9th 2012, AUS TBA 2012

XCom

The critically acclaimed Strategy game title on the PC UFO Enemy Unknown now gets a reboot but it did go through some different decisions. It was thought the game would be a more linear FPS experience in similar Bioshock series, however, more recent info suggests the game should be closer to its original roots than expected, with the only major difference being the setting and viewpoint. 2K Marin assured they would keep elements from the original game, such as squad and base management, free-form non-linear mission progression, and squad-based tactical combat. The game was well praised on the day it was first released on PC's but with the reboot coming much closer to it's original roots we can expect to relive the Best Strategy game as we enjoyed it 18 years ago.

Master Chief and we thought that the war was over in the original trilogy but now we're wrong, Master Chief's back for the upcoming new Trilogy of the series. 343 Industries continues the story from the ending in Halo 3 Master Chief returns to confront his own destiny and face an ancient evil that threatens the fate of the entire universe. The story of Halo 4 will be focused less on the Halo series' traditional straightforward first person shooter genre, instead relying more on mystery, exploration and discovery. Developers described the game as being grand in scope and scale. Forerunner elements will be featured extensively in the game's environment. Developers also suggested that the game will reveal how humanity and the UNSC have adapted to the galaxy after the end of their war with the Covenant, particularly how they have co-opted Forerunner technology. Unlike the original trilogy, the story has been designed to be part of a three-game arc from the beginning. In addition, developer 343 Industries is aiming for a more complete connectivity between all of their future media than before. We can expect the enjoyable Multiplayer and Single Experiences then what we've seen so far with other games in the series alongside it's competitor Call of Duty.

1: Mass Effect 3
Platform: Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360

Mass Effect 3

Mass Effect 3 marks the final chapter in the Mass Effect trilogy of video games, completing the story of Commander Shepard. Gameplay in Mass Effect 3 will be influenced by decisions from Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 and have settings throughout the galaxy, including Earth and Mars. Combat has been changed and refined; in particular, the cover system has been improved, there will be more options for moving around the battlefield, instant melee kills and more conventional grenades will be introduced as well as improved artificial intelligence. A four player Multiplayer co-op mode will also be available. Mass Effect 3 will follow from the events of the Mass Effect 2 DLC expansion Arrival and follows Commander Shepard's mission to save the galaxy from the Reapers by rallying civilizations of the galaxy together, while also having to deal with Cerberus, who have decided to turn against him. The Top 5 Best Games and Most Disapointing Games of 2011

AQWBlaZer91's Top 10 Countdown:

The Top 5 Best Games and Most Disappointing Games of 2011

2011's been another great year of Gaming, with the new 3DS out and announcements of the PSVita and the Wii-U which are soon to be out sometime in the following year. On the otherhand we did our hands on great games as well as big hits of November and some disappointing titles that has been released this year. To start off this Double countdown I take a look at both the 5 Most Disappointing Games following with 5 Best Games this year. Be warned these are only my opinions that are far different from yours.

Top 5 Most Disappointing Games of 2011

5: Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection
Platform: PSP
Developer: Square Enix
Release Date: JP March 24, 2011, NA April 19, 2011, EU April 22, 2011

Okay lets get one thing straight with Final Fantasy IV, it was still one of the critically claimed titles on the SNES as well as having great ports on the PSOne, GBA and the DS, but when you decide to redraw 2D sprites that aren't as impressive as their 16 bit counterpart, Remove the GBA extras and place in Wiiware's worst titles ever, Final Fantasy IV The After Years. Aside from all the chapters being together It's still a complete "After thought" with blend story-lines which are disjointed and narrative which are poorly constructed. Too much recycled areas and the games still short. If you think that was the worst, why not include another chapter called Interlude which ultimately has no purpose within the game what-so-ever. Final Fantasy IV is still one of the most memorable 16-Bit titles of the Super Nintendo but it's legacy will be haunted by it's awful sequel and the pointless Interlude.

4: Call of Juarez: The Cartel
Platform: XBox 360/PS3/PC
Developer: Techland
Release Date: PlayStation 3 & XBox 360 NA July 19, 2011, AUS July 21, 2011, EU July 22, 2011, JP October 13, 2011 Microsoft Windows AU September 8, 2011, NA September 13, 2011, EU September 16, 2011

Set in modern-day Los Angeles and Mexico as up to three players take the role of law enforcement agents and as this cowboy trip to the modern age suffers through graphical bugs and glitches, storyline stuff that's easy to miss out when playing on your own and unlikeable characters. This game disappoints on both Singleplayer and Multiplayer contents inwhich the game has problems that if it wanted to be a Western Shooter or a Modern Shooter, Whatever the case it fails either-way.

3: Jurassic Park: The Game
Platform: XBox 360/PS3/PC
Developer: Telltale Games
Release Date: November 15th 2011

For many years we enjoyed the Movies but we've yet to enjoy a decent Jurassic Park Game beside Lost World Arcade. Jurassic Park The Game by Telltale Games may at the very least capture the cinema quality of the movie but however it doesn't seem even fun at all to play. Easy puzzles which are unsatisfying, Absence of consequences diminishes any sense of danger, Lack of context for conversation options which makes them near lifeless and finally the frame rate hitches and control quirks interrupt the flow of the game. This is a Park that nobody would ever want to attend on their weekend or with families and friends.

2: Brink
Platform: XBox 360/PS3/PC
Developer: Splash Damage
Release Date: NA May 10 2011, AUS May 12 2011, EU May 13 2011, JP June 16, 2011

Brink's gameplay goes for the mixture of Team Fortress 2 along with Mirror's Edge's "parkour" movement, usually Multiplayer Games where all about Lag free gaming servers and enjoyable competitions but unfortunately for Brink, Lag and the AI blends the gaming experience. The graphics make the game look like something on the early PlayStation 2 with blurry models and unimpressive looking environments which make them look unrealistic. Sadly the game also contains only 8 different maps to play on which already the package shallow by Multiplayer. This War is certainly not even worth any point of resisting.

1: Duke Nukem Forever
Platform: XBox 360/PS3/PC
Developer: 3D Realms
Release Date: June 10th 2011

Over Fifteen Years of teseing and in the making and this the Duke Nukem game which we all fought we were going to get but instead all the wait have been in vain. What the game looks like is something like a Failed Beta Test gone wrong. Problems include Long, boring platforming and also the same issues for the blend driving sections awful visuals and jerky frame rates which makes the game incredibly ugly to look at. The Levels are extremely short and they are separated by long loading screens and lastly the Jokes used fails to be shocking, sexy, or funny. We may have played some huge amount of bad games in our lives but we've never ever seen one of gaming's icons get his reboot into a incomplete mess, making this the choice for the most disappointing game of 2011.

Top 5 Best Games of 2011

5: Super Mario 3D Land
Platform: Nintendo 3DS
Developer: Nintendo
Release Date: JP November 3, 2011, NA November 13, 2011, EU November 18, 2011, AUS November 24, 2011

Mario 3D Land is easily on of the finest 3DS games on the Platform, with the usual power-ups and also the Tanooki Suit Mario has always been on top thanks to his top Platforming goodness that we enjoyed in over 3 Decades.

Batman now takes the fight to Arkham City where all of Batman's Famous Villains are causing chaos in Arkham City and along with Catwoman and the Boy Wonder it makes another impressive entry for Batman to appear in the gaming world. All the mechanics that worked well in Arkham Asylum including combat and exploration whenever you're exploring the remains of the City and searching for the riddles. Batman Arkham City achieves a lot of the same way Arkham Asylum has done before which makes this one of the finest action games of the year.

3: The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword
Platform: Nintendo Wii
Developer: Nintendo
Release Date: EU November 18, 2011, NA November 20, 2011, JP November 23, 2011, AUS November 24, 2011

Skyward Sword is worthy of celebrating 25 years of this legendary game series and comes packed in with the Wii Remote Plus controller and it's well responsive and enjoyable just like all the other Zelda games that proceeded it. Cleaver Puzzles, impressive Boss Fights, plenty of different collectibles to get as well impressive graphics make this the most impressive Zelda game on the Wii.

2: Gears of War 3
Platform: XBox 360
Developer: Epic Games
Release Date: INT September 20, 2011, JP September 22, 2011

Gears of War 3 is the conclusion the best trilogy on the X-Box 360 with an arsenal of new Multiplayer content like Gears of War 2's Horde mode and also a Beast Mode where you'll take on the Humans. You can take on the Storyline co-cooperatively over X-box Live as well the epic storyline which showcases the consequences from the events of Gears of War 2. All the Gameplay mechanics including the still enjoyable Chainsaw Lancer which is still amazing including the already enjoyable Multiplayer experience all make the conclude this epic trilogy against the Locust.

1: The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim
Platform: Xbox 360/PS3/PC
Developer: Bethesda Game Studios
Release Date: INT November 11, 2011, JP December 8, 2011

Welcome back to the land of the Elder Scrolls with the 5th installment of the series. Hopefully you have alot of free time on your hands because there's loads of content to explore and plenty of Dragons to fight against and they are a huge blast. There's tons of different Quests from either playing the Main Storyline and different Guild Quests and Side Quests to boost your fame as well the ability to play the game way you like to play it. Either to play as a hero who fights Dragons or to play as a Brutal Assassin who kills targets silently. The games art has plenty of beautiful environments and impressive effects. Enjoyable battles which offer the same varity of choices from oblivion which makes it impressively engaging. There's so much to do and enjoy in the world of Skyrim from impressive Graphics, Gameplay and replay value from the 4th game Oblivion which makes this my pick for the Game of 2011.

Happy New Year 2012

AQWBlaZer91 Channel Update: Happy New Year 2012

2011 is over and now it's the year 2012

I didn't do much before the New Year I just had myself a little feast to last me awhile and also I got myself 2 new 3DS Games to enjoy. They are StarFox 64 3D which on the European N64 release it was called Lylatwars and Super Pokemon Rumble which in North America it's called Pokemon Rumble Blast. I only played those games for about 30 Minutes each and they are quite good and maybe I'll review those games sometime in the future.

Now for my plans for this year:

I'm going to be doing more work on Gamespot then I'll be at doing some games but I'll go ahead and finish Modern Warfare 3's Campaign for now so that I'll get on with reviewing some games that I can easily talk about, so I'm starting with Final Fantasy IV on the Wii VC.
I'll do some AQWorlds and maybe one day when I finish some of my Gamespot work I'll get myself some Artix Entertainment Points. Say guys since I'm from the UK is there anyway I can get Membership Cards or any Giftcards that I can use to get the Membership on AQWorlds cause I miss getting Membership Cards in Town and it's a shame that those Fools at Clinton Cards and WHSmith took the Cards which I'm truly displeased about. What's there excuse for that?

Final Fantasy is going to suck once again this year with XIII-2 and I can't stand anymore of Square Enix's trash so I'm going to finish what I've started and send those heroes to the Darkest pits of Oblivion so that I'll never play those awful games again in my Life.

I'm not sure what else I'll get done this year but expect me to work a little harder then last year.

Presents I had for Christmas

AQWBlaZer91 Channel Update: 25th December 2011 (Late Blog)

Well guys it's the time of Christmas again and this year we did get some great games as well as some bad ones. I enjoyed my Christmas so far with my 3 brothers and 1 sister along with their children getting what they wanted. The Christmas presents I had from everyone were:

(Dad) Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (X-Box 360)
(Mum) Nintendo 3DS with Tales of the Abyss
(Michael) Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary (X-Box 360)
(Simon) Some Mens Deodorant
(Margret) Rileys Red Pool Shirt

I give everyone in my family some Christmas cards and also some presents which went to everyone. I enjoyed most of my presents besides Halo Anniversary cause that game wouldn't work properly but my brother's taken that back to get it replaced so I can play it hopefully. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is really great fun and maybe I'll finish the Campaign sometime before I'll go on to review some other games which I'll talk about sometime.

I reasonably got myself hocked by the 3DS so now I got it along with a game which was never released in the UK and I doubt any of you has heard of it called Tales of the Abyss. I'm just glad to see that the game is released in Europe for the first time, honestly you guys should have seen my face when I got it, it was so priceless and almost funnier then last year with Tales of Vesperia and the 360. As for the Nintendo 3DS I'm enjoying it so far and maybe I'll plan to review that device in the future.

For Dinner me and the family have had a nice Christmas Turkey along with some parsnips with Potatoes, Peas, Carrots and Gravy and it was beautiful this year. Our disappointment was the Christmas Crackers which didn't have Hats and they didn't snap.

It was sure good to see everyone in the Family again.

I hope you guys have had a Nice Christmas and a Happy New Year.

AQWBlaZer91 Channel Update: 3rd November: Slacking, Future Reviews and My Chirstmas List 2011

Well folks I got quite a list of Updates I am willing to talk about. First off I've been slacking off completely, instead of playing through the Final Fantasy series I've been playing Tales of Phantasia on both my GBA and PlayStation 1. I guess that's alright cause I'm excited that Tales of the Abyss is coming to Europe for the first time and I think that's a good thing that I'm a hardcore Tales fan. I'm sorry that I should be conentrating on Completing this awful Final Fantasy **** feast but at least hopely with this I'll get it done starting with the NES orginals. Oh dear I wonder how bad this is going to be for me.

Along side the Final Fantasy games I plan to do some reviews of other games that I have on my mind so far and here's it's list.

  1. Final Fantasy Games
  2. Light Gun Shooter Games
  3. Deus Ex Human Revolution (X-Box 360)
  4. Sonny and Sonny 2 (Flash)

Christmas is around the next corner and I will say that this is going to be really tough to decide but I found 5 things for selection and I'll pick out the best 2 gifts to have. Here are my 5 Choices for what I'll might put on my list.
