@ManatuBeard @navarz @Mendax2013 and who gave those numbers? last time I checked they had very similar specs with the Xbox using DDR3 memory while the PS4 using DDR5 memory
@green_scorpion @Pockets69 @ManatuBeard @ajay1708 damn... I must've missed something in the corporate industry if I didn't have that talk with anyone yet
@sgt_F79 @Alexrmf I sure hope so... they just seem to concentrate too much on the online aspect and tracking the experience, which can only worry me as a user. a console is meant for offline play and they shouldn't push so much on the AI (Kinnect) side of things
what else could they say? "our console will spy and track your every move... we're sure you'd like such a device because it'll be just like a backup conscience reminding you all the shit you did"
I'll stick to PCs... this console business gets weirder the more I read about it. probably that's how Skynet will be born... from an apparently harmless console network
just as I said before... the way used games are managed by Sony and Microsoft will decide the winning console this generation... if both go the same route, then it's all about the exclusive titles. the biggest mistake for both companies would be to ask for additional fees or ban used games
the kinect capability seems to be the most "scary" feature of the announcement... but if they put a shut-down button on it, it should ease-off people's minds. if developers want to find out my thoughts about their game, they should make a survey, not monitor every move I make or record every curse I'm throwing at their game.
all I know is that I'm happy with AMD being the processor of both PS4 and Xbox One. the rest doesn't really matter now... it will be decided by whoever has the best exclusive titles and who doesn't block used games
i agree with most people here ... they just can't make up excuses like that for years of bad decisions... if they were in that "oligopolistic" circle they now blame, they wouldn't mind it so much... but you have to make hit games to stay on top and get accepted into that circle. just think if EA made a bad Battlefield, they would instantly get a sales-drop that would take them years to recover from. my advice: make quality games that gamers actually like and you'll be successful as a developer or publisher.
