Sacred didn't have "blood" innitially.. until the Underworld expansion came out. (US Version)

The UK Version did permit blood.. w/o expansion.

Although there was a way to enable the blood feature by editing an ini file. This may be true for The Witcher... only the US release will tell.

Much like the Hot Coffee mod for GTA:SA.. Which is why I bought the game when the media first got wind of it. Hell, I was even carded for the game.. and I was 28yrs old at the time.

hmm no complaints here about speed.. I get an average of 600+ Kb/s

Also if you wish you can back up your games so you don't have to redownload the content.. Under: File, Backup Games

You should be able to move those backup files wherever you wish, since you can make backup files of CD-R length or DVD-R length. I personally have never used it... though I should.. but to do that I would need a new external drive to hold all my content.. (I hate making DVD-Rs)

YO utd4lyf is my friend and i got him to post this. well it must be vista because when i had xp on my old computer css ran completly fine then i had bought a new computer which everything was much better

well heres my computer specs

RAM: 1014mb
OS: windows vista
manufacturer: HP
processor: intel celeron D cpu3.46 3.47
system type: 32 bit operating system
intel 82945 G Express chipset family

It cant be lag because my old computer never lagged
my RPS (rate per second) is like 10 - 18 on fy simpson. It just goes completly crazy on de_dust ot any larger maps but it runs fine on iceworld. my old cpmuter ran everything perfectly no slow rps nothing.

So the only thing i can blame is vista.

PLEASE tell me anything that can stop this problem. Thanks.

maskedwo1f

Word of advice never buy a Celeron processor to game on.. and 1GB of RAM is almost minimum.. go for 2-3.

Also turn off all the flashyness of Vista and go with the basic look..

If you have an integrated vid card your pretty much toast..

I've only had those feelings mentioned right after walking out of a movie theater.. never after a game.. guess, I'm more of a movie buff than a game buff.. bah.. oh well.. crazy stuff you guys have had..

My step-brothers have used things like "pwn" n "noob" in real life.. can't say I have.. weird... Although I do use more movie one liners in my day to day chatters..

BTW, do they still sell books like that? Choose your own adventure types? I know pop-up books have almost gone extinct.. hell even toys nowadays are made from sort of cheap plastic.. I remember when throwing a transformer was like throwing a piece of metal.. now their so fragile that if you transform them incorrectly, they break. What's the world coming to?! :P

"First of all, the demo was quite short."

True

"Second, the monsters were quite easy to kill."

True, but the demo takes place at a very low level. Every H&S RPG is like this. Gotta remember...there is 50 levels as well as harder difficulty levels.

"Although the gameplay was reasonably good, it didn't quite give the feeling i got in the Diablo days. It really felt as if not made by the old Blizzard guys. No epic feeling at all. "

Can't argue with you about your "feelings", but I will say maybe nostalgia has something to do with that.

"Perhaps this feeling is due to the fact that there have been quite a number of demon killing games lately, like DOOM, and the concept doesn't feel that fresh anymore. (another hell portal? oh please) ."

I really don't see how Doom is related to this type of game other then both of them having demons...

"But i do hope that the retail product would be quite better, so i am keeping my hopes still held high. "

Good approach. If were not impressed so far, absolutely nothing wrong with taking a step back to see how things improve. I think the game will be great though. The Beta is much better then the demo, and I think FSS will continue to add and to improve thier game.

"17. Doesn't change the most important aspect of any rpg (gameplay & story)"

Story is not the most important aspect of a game like this. You think people played Diablo II for years for it's story? Sorry dude, wrong on this point. Most important aspect of a Action-RPG is:

a) Good skills and character customization

b) Large assortment items (random and unique)

c) Good gameplay and satisfying monster killing

A good story is deffinetly a plus, but not essential. Not to mention, how can you judge the story of a game demothat doesn't even start to touch the main story line? Not to mention it's missing all the cut scenes.

dnuggs40

I wonder if two paragraphs of story at the end of each episode in Doom 1 was enough "story" for him.

Lemme also mention that after playing Just Cause .. even through the story was for crap, the game itself is pretty fun..

Games are more to have fun.. if you didn't have fun playing the game.. then move on, you don't need to make yet another thread about it... For you, you save money and time with one less game to worry about "finishing".

I still don't know who she is, nor am I interested enough to do a search.

The Nancy Drew books have been around for decades.. suprised you haven't heard of them.. In fact the first book was made in 1930.

To be fair.. I actually liked the demo to Hellgate London. It even has references to D1-2.. which I thought was kinda cool.
