[QUOTE="OoSuperMarioO"]It's the weirdest thing evI just cant get into this game and yet I have some hours on it but it's so dissapointing for me. I feel this game got a bit to much hype and aint serving any purpose for me. Not only that but Directx 10 have plenty of bugs so Im forced to play in DX9. Im so confused as to those saying this isGOTY material.

I was so psyched for this game, but the gameplay was lame. No AI, terrible respawn system, etc.
The graphics were at times great (few bad console-textures). The presentation was A++++.
It was no SS2 (at least, from what I've seen - only played a bit). Oh well.
Don't forget that Bioshock compared to Crysis is "crap" :)
On a side note.. Didn't Tron kill you already? :PsSubZerOo
Tron 2.0... good FPS game..poor ratings which I disagree with.. I genuinely enjoyed it.. made me flashback to the movie... and the coin-op game..
Only game I know where there is a boss fight after the credits role.. STRONG Storyline for a game.. also the action is pretty good.....
[QUOTE="Planeforger"]You've made a very good choice, but it's essential for you to download the unofficial patches (also the 'generations' patch, which adds further character customisation).
Basically, Bloodlines is probably my favourite RPG of the past 6-7 years, and a great choice for all fans of the role-playing genre. Enjoy! :P
*Edit* As for advice, I'd recommend picking one of the more normal vampire clans for your first time through.
The Malkavian and Nosferatu clans are very fun to play, but Malks are more enjoyable if you've played through the game already, and Nosferatu miss a lot of the dialogue, since they can't be seen in public.
The Ventrue or Toreador clans are probably a good choice for starters.

I would think the Brutah would be the best as a beginner.. Their physical brute force with melee weapons and maxed out celerity later on makes them a power house.
I chose Ventrue my first time playing it.. then I went on a spree and tried to get all the havens available to almost all characters :)
Great replay value to it..
[QUOTE="ikwal"]I've also heard about a remake of HL1 with HL2 graphics back when HL2 was released and but I haven't heard anything about it in a couple of years.mrbojangles25
Ya, that was the Black MEsa Source team...when HL2 was released...in 2004.
I have to agree.. by the time its finished.. why even bother? I'm not even that interested in it anymore.. sure it will be cool to play through once completed.. but I'm not going to be holding my breath..
However.. I will be waiting eagerly for HL2: Episode 3.. does he actually die? hmmm nice cliff hanger there..
Also being able to see the laboratories of Portal.. if you caught the technology firm name of Portal .. the ship you will be sent to is made by that same Portal team.. so the possibility of the portal gun in the HL2 world is pretty cool..
Can you play the original HL on Vista? I just got a copy for $2 at the goodwillkrazyorange
Yes, HL1 works on Vista.. via STEAM..
[QUOTE="gzaneski"]I'm taking a poll on both the PC and Xbox360 forum to see whatseries of gamespeople think is better, Half-Life (1-Ep2) or Halo(1-3).
I'm going to be posting this exact same poll on both forums to make it fair. Although I won't be voting,I personally think that the Half-Life series has more depth, potential, better gameplay, and a better story. (Not to mention it contains one of the video game industry's greatest mysteries of all time: the G-man.) :P

If you ask this question in the PC forum, all the PC fanboys will obviously say Half Life is better than Halo. However, I will say with confidence that Halo is a much better series, and I have been a PC gamer for a long time. Hell, I don't even own an Xbox. I played the entire series on a friend's Xbox and I can say with confidence that it's a much better series than Half Life. Why do you think it scored higher on Gamespot than Half Life?
First of all, Halo actually has a storyline. I've played up to Episode One of Half Life 2 and I can say that there is no real type of storyline what so ever. The original Half Life 1 was made for it's gameplay, not storyline.
As far as gameplay goes, I would also have to point with Halo. Also the fact that Halo 2 had a multiplayer is another reason. Half Life 2's multiplayer was the worst piece of **** I've ever played in my life. It made entirely no sense, and every single server was unstable beyond hell, sending your ping up to the 900's (I have comcast high-speed internet, so it's not me - clearly).
I don't see what's so special about the Half Life series, or why it's hyped so damned much. I thought it was a piece of **** compared to most games I've played (all genres). However given that Halo is a better series, it still wouldn't make me buy an Xbox 360...seeing how unstable Microsoft made them. This reply will no doubt cause other Half Life fanboys to flame me, but I couldn't care less. I've posted the facts on the matter and I have no other reason to come back to this thread.
So...anyone replying to this will be wasting their time.
Wolf3d didn't have a story either.. Doom 1 had a pretty meger one.. PC games evolve.. storyline is now a requirement... when in the past it was not.. I believe the one game that had a storyline back in the very beginnings was probably Pac-Man.. and that was sketchy at best.. Thus the cartoon by the same name.
Go back and play some old NES games.. 8bit.. let me know if any of those games had a "great" storyline.. Not even Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy had "great" storylines.. they had them.. and for the time.. they were considered "great" storylines.. but compared to the games of today.. your lucky if someone would even bat an eye at those games..
Always place a game in the context in which it was created and the games that lauched around them.
BTW, good to see your still around -Unreal- and STILL gaming! :)
[QUOTE="Minder22"]How is it in your opinion?Atlas_FTW
Sucked. Bad. Just like COD:1... good for back then, crap for 2007.
You must be related to BounceBK.. you dissed every game and just say Crysis will beat them all.. I hope so.. but we might be dissapointed.. there is always that slim chance...
I wonder did you think Blake Stone and Corridor 7 sucked as well?
