@JustinGoSka: there is no way to do in console all what we are doing now with KB+Mouse, you simply don't have enough buttons on your pads, maybe they will solve it nerfing the game, or adding tons of those radial menus, so uncomfortable, I can't understand how you enjoy gams buried with clumsy menus, really...

@sladakrobot: Enterprises are not good or evil, they just exists to earn money, since people stop buying Tamagotchi, enterprises stop making Tamagotchi. You see?

I understand consoles in the past century, when PCs were expensive and complex, nobody had (nor need) a PC at home, so people needed consoles to play easy and cheap. Consoles was a necessity, and a very good solution. That goal does not exists anymore today when everybody has (and need) a PC and phones, easy to use and cheaper, while consoles are turning clumsy, complex, expensive, and totally limited, but if people demands crap, enterprises will still making crap, is not their fault, is yours.

Look at the rest of the hobbies, everybody want the best guns, fishing poles, TVs, cars, etc... but videogames seems the only hobby in which still a niche of old fashioned fanatics that still don't care quality of life being scammed every day of their lives, listen to the last news: Nintendo jumps to the online for pay... Why? because MS and Sony proven that console players will pay whatever they drop to them, because is a closed market, depending on 1 enterprise for all, you must be proud.

@sladakrobot: Ascaron went to bankrupt because Sacred 2 was too ambitious, and Deep Silver forced them to make it multiplatform, than you, console users, to make games worse every day. :(

Diablo 3 works like a charm on consoles because what you've mentioned after: it was designed with consoles in mind from scratch, making another casual pad game, thank you, again.

I don't know how easy will be PoE on consoles, but fortunately is a complete separate game, based on the ARPG history, the further from you, the better.

@nickpeck36: Is a fact that Sacred 2 was a failure in both, console and PC, because they designed multiplatform, limited to the worst version. The same for Sacred 3, Diablo 3 and Dungeon Siege 3, in these cases is a fact that they even aren't in the same genre, Sacred 3 is a brawler, Diablo 3 is not more ARPG (just a hack'n slash without skill tree, nor stats, builds, etc, all is itemization), and Dungeon Siege 3 is a pad adventure, not more party based, etc. Those are facts, sorry.

Well, Path of Exile IS hardcore, you simply can't continue into merciless if you don't have a well thought build according your gear and skills, if they casualize the console version is another thing, but it will not be the same game (I don't think they will casualize, probably those changes will be on interfase, maybe removing some options and tons of clumsy radial menus).

I'm modder and I'm tired of find people that come from consoles because they want better mods, so yes, when a (good) PC game or feature pass to consoles, it drags rivers of people that seek the full game/feature, don't worry, people will do what they need if they want to still progressing on game. ;)

@nickpeck36: I've just pointed facts. 1st/3rd person RPGs (in which you don't need reflexes) have no difference between mouse and pad, when you need to aim or control from a top scenario (isometric), is different, a square on the table is the best way to control a square of your monitor by instant change directions, precision point, etc. Those are facts, you may feel more comfortable in your couch, I will not argue that, but you would get better results (with the same effort) if you do in the best possible way.

Talking about Diablo 3, that game was designed to consoles in mind (that is the reason of its failure, and today still under the shadow of Diablo 2). Also Neverwinter (not Neverwinter Nights, the real great game), and most multiplatform games, designed to the worst standard in mind, so the PC version is more than easier, is what we call: casual.

This is a complete PC game and you will get those "small gameplay differences", guess what? right...

@sladakrobot: you've brought my worst remembers... Sacred 2, as well Sacred 3, Diablo 3, and Dungeon Siege 3 was badly affected by the design compromises to get functional console versions (that is why those games have fail when their predecessors were successful, and the main reason most PC gamers, as I, hate consolization).

This is different, we already have a pure PC game, consoles can't ruin this, but since you've mentioned Sacred 2, I remember that game become stable with its expansion Ice and Blood (which was not on consoles), before it was broken, full of bugs that made it almost unplayable. And also not considering the bugs, I've played it on a console once and man... that was the meaning of AWFUL... seems a clumsy version of the same game, and not talking about bugs, is the camera, the inventory management, the skills sorting (all that I've mention in my previous comment). Really I can't understand how in this World anyone can waste his/her precious time by playing such deep games on consoles...

The best ARPG out there, if anyone wants the real successor of Diablo 2, try this one or Grim Dawn, also Van Helsing and Victor Vran are solid options. I've been playing it for years (not constantly, few months, then leave, then return next year, and so, and I will return to the expansion of course), this game will keep you for life.

The only thing I don't understand is why someone in this World, would want to play such deep game in a limited device?

Yes, you can play this game as a console 2 hours duration generic game, but is much more than that. You need to plan your character or you won't be able to beat even the first pre-boss (yes, not talking about the final act 1 boss, just the general in the battlefield that is so hard to beat with a mediocre character), and to plan properly you need online and offline tools, most of them not available on consoles, so, yes, you will need to go to your PC to plan first, to then, return to your console, pointless, right? Then, in game, you will want to trade and (if you don't want to buy the first garbage they offer on the trade chat), is mandatory to consult online databases to sort what you need, compare, contact the seller, etc, so back again to the PC (while you are in the game in your console, to complete the trade... clumsy, right).

I can still writing about how difficult is to fight point & click ARPGs with pad (try Diablo 3 with PC and console, is a world of difference), or when you need to quick switch gear multiple times to compare resistances, is a pain with pad, not mention to sort skills, quick commands to reset maps, highlight items, etc, there are more commands than buttons in a pad and I think they will solve that by "nerfing" many of the options we have with keyboard, or maybe, with multiple layers menu so usual on consoles (I must say that I can't understand how you can play with such inexhaustible menus, but is for another discussion...).

In resume is already difficult to play with KB+Mouse and internet browser on background, why anyone would complicate even more using a pad with more limited access to internet?

I think this will be like Diablo 3, or Skyrim on consoles, they enjoyed the "demo" and then migrated later to the PC version to play the real game.

@off3nc3: Online is simply unlimited, but they say (to auto-convince) "we don't want online", ok, offline they still missing entire genres as strategy Starcraft, Age of Empires, Dune, Commandos, that we play for life, alone or with friends, or RPGs/ARPGs Diablo 2, Sacred, Morrowind, Fallout, Arcanum, Baldur's Gate, with infinite possibilities thanks mods, not mention massive genres as shooters, Doom, Counter, Battlefield, that in consoles are just "demo" versions for kids.

Is weird to see console players claiming that their exclusives are better just because inexhaustible marketing and sentimental cinematics that can be played once and never again. Then... well, return to forums to fight the other console? (Their real exclusives seem the childish console war).

What we call GAMES, are those we still playing trough decades, a GAME is something that you will always want to return with renewed expectations, that is the difference between our worlds.

I don't care about consoles but those players are doing the impossible to make us feel... superior?

I can't understand those who enjoy when other consoles wont have an exclusive, while, in their console (technically THE SAME), they have few exclusives, but that is not the worse (I've been playing 1 game for years if is good enough), problem is that their exclusives are usually sentimental-emo-casual-fanboyism that they easily pass in a day, and bye.

Be serious, how many of you still playing that explorer, or that stupid girl with zombies, or any emo-movie after finished first time?

Cancellations and unlimited delays happens in all consoles, remember that game of the giant dog announced for PS3? well, you have it for PS4, with graphics of PS3 (you really know how invest your money).

You still choosing to depend in 1 enterprise for all, so you, all console players, deserve what you get because you don't care about your money, your time, the quality, longevity and flexibility in which you play your games.

These ridiculous console-fights will end when you decide to play games as they meant to be played, in the best platform, with all genres, in highest quality, forever, and with mods...
