@Berserk8989: Have you played Fallout 3, 4, Oblivion, Skyrim, Dragon Age, Divinity Original Sin, Diablo (kids) 3, Divinity 2, Pillars of Eternity, Wasteland 2, or any other "RPG style" game that is not a straight linear corridor for consoles? All are way more bugged and clumsy than the PC version, and, with the con that they don't have mods to solve worst of them.

@Simulator_Shock: Some fans have made the map, and Rockstar have it, so maybe a remake in the new engine is coming ;)

@Ansem_Rev: You still never played The Witcher 1? hehe.

What is that... deep... resentment we feel from some users? Don't panic, as Beyond Skyrim (Morrowind on Skyrim), or Skyblivion (Oblivion in Skyrim), rely on mods kids, PC is awesome.

@camou504: the day The Witcher 1 will be on consoles, or...?

Rely on mods, the map already exist, so it will be under the RR2 engine ;)

Probably I will love a Larian RPG but... why Baldur's Gate? There are too much in risk here.

1. Will be real time + pause? Probably I would have no problem in turn base but for sure I won't like a change of genre (worst would be an action rpg like Divinity 2, we have the Fallout 3 example so it is possible to ruin things even more...)

2. Will continue the same plot? BG is an ended story, we dislike all the changes Beamdog made to a beloved saga, would be terrible to continue a saga (and even worst if the story/game is not as good as the original).

3. If it will be another genre, and/or, another plot... Why is called Baldur's Gate "3"? Maybe for sales have all the sense to break a franchise only to sell few dollars more, but not for us, not for the fans.

@Richardthe3rd:

The problems are beyond the use of low bandwith from their online service. The problem is the design of the game.

Why console games are mostly platforms and linear shooters? because those are the only genres they can handle with the controller (the reason behind the simplification-casualization of most good RPG, ARPGs and Tactical games to fit on multiplatform like Dragon Age 2, Diablo 3 or Dungeon Siege 3).

Well, Path of Exile was designed for PC, items spread around and you need to point in 1 specific to loot, that is extra time in sequential order with a controller, crafting is a long cycle of alt+regal -scour (or alch +chaos -scour..., and many more combinations) which in the controller take few seconds extra the first time, a minute extra in the 10th attempt, an hour in the 100 attempt... (similar to Divinity Original Sin, but worse because the unfair RNG of PoE). When you level up you simply mouse over a skill here, then go to the other side of the constellation and mouse over another, with a controller that takes an eternity. Equipping guear, trading, loading screens, the expensive and useless auction house, the trade system, less population, even type the name of your character or chat with a friend is a stupid word-finder-mini-game if you don't have a keyboard...

Console version problems of complex PC games are far from the power of the hardware or the wireless controller, it is a genre problem.

As a side note, I never understood how consoles are supposed meant only to play games, in which you can't play properly all genres.

Sorry but trying these kind of games on consoles will always be disappointing, this is not like Diablo 3, which was designed for consoles (destroying the franchise), this was designed for PC, search about "PC vs Xbox Path of Exile" comparisons for more clues. You are trying to play an isometric, precise, deep and challenging game with analogical sticks... will never work.

It is difficult to understand how years after Diablo 3 (which all of us knew was limited to fit on consoles, leaving the franchise to real ARPGs such Path of Exile, Torchlight or Grim Dawn), people who still in Diablo 3 have been... disappointed? of what? They were playing the most childish ARPG in the world, they saw the launch for Xbox and PS3, they saw the launch even for Switch! And they needed a phone launch to understand this franchise's casualization? Really?

@yordan: I don't understand you, PoE is totally free, your build will be exactly the same with, or without money, there are no class, skill, level, or any restriction besides the storage, and the storage is not an issue in your 1st leveling, you won't get enough good stuff in 1 leveling, you need to go trough the end game for more than a month (playing often), or many months (playing normally) to fill 4 tabs with really valuable stuff (stuff that worth more than 1 chaos per item, less than that sell it to vendors, it is garbage). And the philosophy is that if you enjoy enough the game (after months of playing), well, you can give them some money, right?
