Look, I emphasize with the survivors, I really do. Hell, in one of the previous shootings in the U.S. I was one of the last people on Earth to speak & interact with one of the people killed in that shooting - someone I interacted with multiple times during that year. What happened is horrible, and I understand basic human NEED to find something or someone to point at and say "IT"S YOUR FAULT!!!"
But assign the blame where it's due, not where it's convenient.
If it hadn't been video games, it would have been violent movies.
If not movies, then Gangsta Rap
If not Rap, then violent night-time TV shows.
If not TV shows, then MTV
If not MTV, then Rock & Roll.
If not Rock & Roll, then violent Radio Programming
If not Radio, then Unholy Books (Books other than the Bible)
If not Books, then it was...The DEVIL!
If not the devil...the the only thing left to blame is...the...uhmm...the...ahh...person who...committed the crime? But...we can't blame them...because something MUST have made them do what they did (or they're dead - where's the point in blaming the dead - blame is for revenge after all)...Oh!
If not the person, then it MUST be the parents' fault!
But...if the parents had reached out for help...if the parents knew that their child(ren) were..."different" (as they usually do to some extent at the VERY least)...then the only ones to blame is...ah...
...Ourselves?
