thats BS. if the game supports 1080p there should be no difference in framerate, screen tearing or load times. (unless your playing RSV where the UPSCALING is stuffed. by the way, id just like to say that on my 52 SONY BRAVIA XBR all of my games have improved framerates (AC goes 60, so does warhawk and COD4 goes like whipped cream :)bihboy69
Not bs.
Even if a game supports 1080p it has to render to a 1080p framebuffer (if it's true 1080p and not that crappy upscaled 540p) which is over 30% more data to render. Difference in resolution can mean a big difference in performance. crysis can support 1920x1200 resolution but I get 10fps on my PC at that resolution. I get a great framerate at 720p. Also, your tv has nothing to do with improving your framerate. That doesnt' even make sense. Framerate is a result of either of 2 things, not necessarily mutually exclusive, CPU spending too much time per frame, and/or graphics hardware taking too much time per frame. You could buy the most expensive tv in the whole world and it won't do a thing for your frame rate. ever.
[QUOTE="simo__93_"]I think he means "Will Sony add the equivelment of Microsoft Points to PSN??"elemental_drago
On a personal note, I think that from a marketing standpoint a point system was genius. From the consumer stand point, they drove me nuts as a consumer (when I owned the system). For the same reason, it's hard to tell how much you're truly spending. I greatly prefer the system employed by Sony for their own store (eg: a real currency!) Case in point, I really hope Sony never adopts that system. *fingers crossed*:P
the MS points thing is rediculous. I like being told how much actual money I'm going to be spending. I think acheivement points are stupid as well. Just play the dang game and have fun. If you feel you haven't gotten everything out of it, play it again. Life = 1 / Achievement Points. oh... yeah, and I completely agree with you :)
I played this on the NES. Still play it on my old xbox. It's basically nothing but an emulation machine since it wasn't much good for anything else.
- Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
- Resistance: Fall of Man
- Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
pretty much the only three games I play besides demos for now ... :D

wow, what troopers. Sticking it out until the end. That's admirable.
Any word yet on whether paramount/dreamworks decided to go with Blu-ray?
