[QUOTE="ModeDude"]Personally, I think it's just a rip-off, giving you a game that you can buy much cheaper, only with a little polish.orb_03_2006
Right, it's a such a rip off. Bring back a game with updated visuals that will most likely have co-op and multi player. Bringing back a classic is such a rip off. Any one else agree?

I think I kind of disagree. I think in a way, they're paying homage to one of the biggest games of all time. For me, back when the first Halo came out, it was kind of a sleeper hit, it kind of came in under my attention's radar, but it started something huge. While I agree there are better games than Halo, it's still a really good franchise and is wholly associated with Xbox. I think people think Halo when they think of Microsoft's Xbox gaming system.

So, in a way, they are updating the game and giving it back to the community with better visuals and physics, revamping a classic for all those others who might have missed out the first time around. Personally, I've been with Halo since the original Combat Evolved on the first Xbox, but it would be nice to see it out again because I liked it better than Halo 2 and 3. I felt like Reach was the first one to really go back to the roots of the first.

But, that's just my opinion.

[QUOTE="B1GFreakN"]

 If that wasn't so big it'd be sig worthy. How can you use the "/sarcasm" and not even recognize it when you see it? Anyway, I think its clear at this point that no one knows for sure as there are different sites reporting different things from different sources. Everyone here could post a link to completely different information right now, since the devs are being completely honest about what they are working on. I say just wait til E3 and find out. If they're going to make a big announcement that's where you'll most likely find it - not in an article referencing some dude that Joystiq talked to.

MrSelf-Destruct

Wow, you people are killing me. The kid I quoted never once used sarcasm when referencing the new Halo project, which was what my post was about. Learn some basic reading skills and infer something. I was using sarcasm to rebuttle the pointless chess comment which had no purpose considering the information he originally stated about Kinect being on the only available control for the game is completely incorrect. I know what sarcasm is, kid.

And, the link I posted to the Joystiq article was the only credible piece of information that this thread has seen. Downplaying my link makes no sense, considering you, nor anyone else on this thread has posted anything even remotely as informative as what I posted. I do realize this article doesn't give us every detail of the game, but at least it's something, and it's definitely a lot more than anyone on here has said.

I'm not trying to argue with anyone here, but use some common sense on these boards.

What are you talking about? I heard from my friend it was coming out this year with kinect controls and stuff. He's really smart, he plays chess.

Lord_Nas3k

Earlier, you claimed that it was coming out and featuring Kinect as the only way to control the game...

Yeah, Halo 4 was announced, it's coming out Holiday 2011.

It features only kinect controls and is a prequel to Marathon.

Lord_Nas3k

I then replied that your statment is incorrect. I don't see how it's hard to figure out what I'm talking about. Furthermore, thank you so much for telling me all about your friend. I definitely care about how smart he is, and I'm so glad to hear that he plays chess, because that makes your previous statement so much more believeable.

/sarcasm.

sharkbiscuit79

For my money, I would go with the Samsung. Sure it's smaller, but you get a better contrast ratio. But, besides that, my favorite televisions are Samsungs and LGs. I just couldn't bring myself to buy a Vizio. Not that they're bad, I'm not trying to flame, but the Vizios that I have personally been in contact with just don't seem to be on par with other televisions of similar pricing.

Just my opinion, but either which you choose, your games and movies are going to look sweet. Good luck.

Probably using the invincibility cheat to get "Just One Bullet" in Half Life 2 Episode 1. I wasn't going to beat all those zombies to death and try to manage my health, what a waste of time.DiceDatabase

Honestly, I got that achievement without cheats and it wasn't hard at all, I think you could have managed. What was hard was the stupid gnome achievement in Episode 2.

One of the lamest things I have done was for the Gears 2 achievement where you have to play 2,000 rounds of multiplayer. I set up a local match of just me and bots, and the round limit to one minute and the round win limit to a high number and left the room for a while, or left it running overnight. Basically, with all the bots, no team would ever win the round and the round would draw, therefore the match would never end. Every round that ended in a draw counted for my achievement. It was quite clever, actually, but it was lame. Since then I have definitely played over 2,000 rounds of multiplayer, but at the time, I just wanted the achievement quicker. I was just expediting the process.
