On topic, I am pretty stoked about the beta, and the gameplay footage looks very promising. Gears 1 was the reason I bought my 360, and Gears 3 will be another reason to stay up late lol. I'm also really excited about the Septemeber realease date, rather than the Holiday release they oringally planned on.

You use a router and everyone connects to it and bam you have LAN. Now IDK if it will work wireless that way. It seems it should though since everyone is connected to the same network even though one is wireless.

Yeah, that's exactly how it works. As long as the router is wireless capable, even the people that connect wirelessly are on the Local Area Network with those who are wired in with ethernet.

use a switch off your router. Surely someone has a switch. Everyone should own a switch, they're only about $25-$30

The first Gears for me.

Before then I thought Xbox was so stupid and I never wanted one. I thought PC was the only way to play a game. I played Gears with my cousin and went out to buy a console. I've been loving the 360 since late 2006.

It's kind of inconsistent. Sometimes all my the stats are zeroed out, and other times they're all back to normal. It sucks though, cause I like to look at my stats - especially the weapon stats because I'm going for the Gold Star Achievement on Vietnam right now. It's hard to track your progress when all the stats are reset haha.

oh well, they'll fix it eventually I'm sure.

I think adding in a beta to a new release is fine. it gives some incentive to buy a game. If i was 50/50 on bulletstorm (which i am) and the GOW beta is enough to give me that little boost to buy the game, then it might be worth it. If your angry that you have to pay $60 for a game your not interested in order to play a beta then your crazy. It's your choice as a consumer to purchase a product or not, having a little extra incentive is fine.
