This will be awful. Like come on, seriously, this is out of greed from Epic Studios. They are making people pay more because of the stupid Gears of War Beta that will be full of mistakes! This game will sell millions, but it will be probably just collect dust in a few weeks.

gamingboss

haha. Epic isn't making anyone pay for the Epic Edition. When I preordered my game Cliff Bleszinski didn't hold a gun to my back and make me upgrade. Besides, I preordered mine and got the Epic Edition for the same price.

Quit your whining, kid, your opinion isn't gospel. There are people out there that actually want to play this game.

^ No i dont think im under warranty anymore, i've had it since end of 2008, i guess i'll just save up and buy a new Console, until then i'll just try installing them on my HDD and hope thatgetsme atleast 3-4 more weeks out of it.

mr_blobby213

Man, I feel for you. I know the feeling exactly, this happened to me once before. Since it's no longer under warranty, you can try to replace the drive, so long as you have the technical know-how to do it. This video can help you, it's the one I used to fix mine.

But do take caution, only replace the drive if you're sure it's out of warranty. Chances are, if your Xbox can run streaming content or content that is saved on your hardrive, like an aracde game, then you can rest assured and know that you DVD Drive is the only problem and replacing it should work.

Also, when I replaced mine, the Xbox worked fine and read games and DVDs like normal, but only for a few months. Eventually, I had to replace the whole system because I didn't know what else the problem was after it started doing the same stuff the second time.

Good luck. There's plenty of videos on YouTube that can help you like the one I posted.

I'm truly amazed with such ground-breaking logic. Next time you have a thought, do us all a favor and let it go...

Topics like these are fast becoming redundant, if they haven't reached that point already. Activision is a business and like any business the sole purpose is to make a profit by providing a service, so as to continue providing said service. As with any business, buying various intellectual properties in an attempt to maximize profitability is going to happen. Likewise, selling properties that are not profitable will happen as well. No one here has access to information at the highest level between Activision and Take Two, therefor making such ignorantly biased speculations is ridiculous and pointless.

Prophylactixx

Not that you're wrong, what you said was perfect business economy 101, but there is a trend between Activision and greed. We aren't saying Activision is greedy because they seek revenue. Everyone knows that revenue and proft keep the company alive. But, seeking to create revenue on stupid things, like the rumored Pay to Play subscriptions is definitely Greed. I know they made a statement that said there will never be pay to play services will their popular franchise, Call of Duty, but even mentioning it is somewhat rediculuos. Couldn't you agree?

There is a line between creating revenue to keep the business afloat and unmeritted greed. Activision does a greedy trend about them, so the other comment was not entirely false.

Let me then ask you this. Is Microsoft also greedy? As they charge a hefty price for various items i.e. console, games, accessories, AND they also charge a regulatory fee for using their online service XBL. This rumored "pay to play" is just that, a rumor, and a less than credible one at that. The rumor came from pure speculation of various articles that neither directly nor indirectly point towards such a concept. It's not greedy to make an effort to expand your companies profile in an attempt to reach more customers, thusly creating a higher profit margin; it's good business. The simple fact is that it's become "trendy" to call Activision an "evil" company that is set out to destroy the world.

Well, a lot of people argue that Microsoft is greedy, and I can see your point. I don't really know how I feel about Microsoft's level of greed. I do know one thing though, I don't mind paying for Xbox Live, and when I buy Xbox accessories, I always buy the Microsoft ones because no other brand, in my own personal experiences, can match the quality of their controllers and such. But, also note, I don't buy these things at retail prices. I buy Live subcriptions and accessories from other sources rather than micorosoft. I usually get a subscription to xbox live on the internet through ebay or Amazon. I get cheaper official accessories on these sites. So, while you can argue that Microsoft is greedy at times, theres the loop-hole that you can actually acquire them cheaper than retail, and it doesn't seem as bad.

You could probably argue the same about Activision's prducts also. I wasn't staking my claim that Activision is the greed capital of the world and they will monopolize the whole planet, but I can see both sides of the argument. And yes, I also see the trend that everyone whines about Activision - it's all over these boards. haha.

YoungSinatra25

It's 1am Eastern here, and I'm in a 12v12 right now.

Everyone always says it gets super dead at night, but I haven't had that problem.

I've been playing a lot of the Vietnam add-on lately. I never have problems getting into games, even late at night. Occassionaly I will get into a lowly populated game though, but quitting and joing another match solves the problem instantly. I always play Rush mode without the Hardcore option. Maybe certain gametypes just get crappy at certain times?

I know it is a problem and is certainly annoying, but it's not as bad as everyone acts like it is. To those of you that just bought the game, have fun. It's arguably the best multiplayer on Xbox Live in my opinion.

I've never really been into Duke games. I think it's a pass for me.

I can't wait for Gears. I think I'm one of the minority who actually liked Gears 2 better than Gears 1. I never understood why everyone always whined about Gears 2. It has its problems, but I feel like it's a true sequel.

I think, and I hope, that Gears 3 will address the problems and add new content without adding new problems.

As far as Bulletstorm goes, I was super interested in the game, but the demo pushed me to preorder, and I got it from Amazon with the free upgrade to Epic Edition. Normally I don't order upgraded editions of games, but it was free and since I'm such a big fan of Gears, I couldn't pass that up. I'm really excited for Bulletstorm next Tuesday, and I can't wait to play the Gears beta. I think it will be pretty awesome.

It would have also been cool for the to make one team green and yellow, and the other team black and yellow for Super Bowl Sunday.

They could have color modded Red vs Blue for the teams.

I think it's pretty cool when video games do stuff like that.

The one in your link is just fine.

I would definitely recommend buying from your cable from Amazon. After checking around in stores and other online businesses, Amazon seems to sell the cheapest ethernet cables. Order what you posted and you won't regret it.
