[QUOTE="BambooBanger"][QUOTE="Supernova_86"][QUOTE="BambooBanger"] [QUOTE="Supernova_86"]BC is not too important because after all, who DOESN'T own a PS2 already? The PS2 has been out for 7 years and is incredibly cheap. If you did not have a PS2 after 7 years, you probably don't care about BC on the PS3 either.Supernova_86
I don't have a PS2 and there are some games I'd love to play on it without having to buy a PS2 and PS3
You can get the 80gb PS3 then, since that has PS2 compatibility and even upscales the games. Only the 40gb lacks the BC. If you are more interested in PS2 and don't really care about PS3, then get a PS2 by itself because its heaps cheaper.
PS3 40GB is $699.00 here... 60GB (our only other model) is $1000.00, both come stand alone, without games, without remote, one control, etc...
I can afford it but why should I have to pay that price for something that's going to sit on a shelf ? Just another thing to dust as far as I'm concerned.
The 60gb is also BC with PS2 games. I am from Australia, and I will get a PS3 once FF13 comes out on it. I will get the most expensive PS3 edition, which may hopefully be an 80gb if its released here.
Yep, I agree with you. I will probably pick up a PS3 (60GB) when there is something worth playing on it - in Sony's case it's Final Fantasy.
