Dodge ball with a rock is better.

well I would say that is a very rare preference as that doesnt even look as good as many console pc/multipalts. But I can count the people on one hand that have actually made that claim so Im pretty sure I know who this is.
TheSterls
Yah I am sure people think this looks better than the screenshots I posted.

But I dont see consoles that will come out 3 years from now being on par with whats out today. It makes no sense to me.
TheSterls
We will see how things go.
And I doubt consoles will come out 3 years from now.
They will most likely be released a year after Nintendo's new console.
I was reading all the comments by the others who said they owned a 8600s and were having problems running it . Regardless I thought AC2 looked better then Mafia 2 and looked great on consoles. Hes nit picking games to prove his point because I can name a host of games that look better on consoles then Mafia 2 running on a 8600.
TheSterls
Well that is your preference.
Just like how I would say Gears of War on PC looks better than any console game.

Hes playing on low medium settings which is lower then the console version :|
Thanks for proving my point.
TheSterls
Look at his comment he says everything on high.
He says the low/medium comment to the guy with an 8400gt.
And Mafia 2 was a pc port and somehow that by your book is a well designed multiplat? Why becaue it runs better on pc? Red Dead Redemption looks far better then Mafia 2 running on a 8600 . And AC2 cant run on a8600 for jack and it also looks better then mafia 2. You are picking sloppy ports to consoles to benefit your argument .
TheSterls
Your just calling it sloppy because you don't like the fact that it looks a lot worse than the PC version.
Also AC2 ran on high fine with an 8600gt.

Remember he is using Fraps so FPS is cut down by a lot.
And the 8600gt was more like a 7600gt just with better shader performance.
If we used a 7800gtx the performance would be even better.
Oh and before you comment on him saying 25-35 consoles hit low fps in that game too.
PC gamers are masters at saving money on games. They simply don't buy them! :P This proves that the console market controls gamingBodyElite
Wrong.

Lol what? So you're basically admitting that a 7600 can't smoothly run Mafia 2 or Crysis 2 at 720p with AA, but because it can run a 3 year old game faster it is better?
Here's wat I'll say. If you went all out, like a 1500-2000$ computer, you could probably run games better, but anything reasonable wouldn't.
magnax1
Lol no.
Andwe don't know how well it would run new games since no one posts info on new games running on 2005 hardware.
BTW Crysis 2 ran below 720P with lowest settings and had no AA on consoles.
Also people reported running a 4650 with Mafia 2 at high at 1600x900 with 30fps+.

Maybe something is wrong with your PC.
Even a mobile 4650 gpu ran it on high at 1366x736.

The 360 is definitely more powerful then the rigs you could build in 05.
magnax1
Wrong by far.
Which is why Gears of War, Call of Duty MW 1 and 2 and WaW, Bioshock, FEAR, Oblivion etc. etc. ran and looked better on an old 7800gtx.
You seem to forget consoles run at low resolutions usually lacking AA and a lot of newer games even run poorly with low fps.
about the ps3 and 360's specs / capabilities either.
theuncharted34
The 360 did have nice performance on release but it was not the highest in performance even when only considering single gpu computers.
