@liam82517 , grey_fox1984 I'm pretty certain that Final Fantasy counts as jRPG, and thus, isn't really an RPG, just a different genre with similar concept and statistics. Same goes for Mass Effect, I wouldn't be calling that an RPG either, 3d person shooter with some RPG elements is more like it.
I wouldn't go so far comparing Mass Effect with one of Van Goghs portraits lol Mass Effect is a story driven game, and it would only be fair to change the ending of a story, especially if it ruins a universe said game takes place in, and thus ruins potential profit for the companies to make, if they ever wish to make more games in that said universe, if not, I couldn't care less. Having that said, I haven't finished it yet, and I am hoping that the ending isn't as bad as they say, but I'm afraid that it is, and if it is, I won't purchase another BW product again, feeling like I've been disappointed with ther recent products, not naming any here.
Haven't finished the game, but all I can say is; I'm enjoying the hell out of it at the moment. It's one of the best games I've played this year. It's the best ME in the series by far. Having your companion not always standing at exact same location, breathing a little more life in to them, not doing some silly missions for them, instead just talking to them and reminisce, it's a great change, and the combat has improved a lot (maybe tad less challenging). And it sort of feels like FFVII in a way. What worries me is the ending everyone is talking about, it scares the hell out of me. Sort of same feeling I had when I was watching Sopranos, everyone warned me about the ending, but in the end I liked it, who knows, maybe I will like this one as well. People are prone to overreact about every single thing anyway, and I'm capable of forming my own opinion on things. So what if there is homosexuality content in this game? It gives you a little insight at least, and opens your mind to a different world then you are used to see. Besides, it's been done before in different games. I haven't experienced it with every character I've seen like someone mentioned in their comments. I can't imagine why someone dislikes it, maybe bigoted, and narrow minded people that are still living in the 20th century, rednecks in their wifebeaters sitting behind the screen writing some illustrious comments on twitter, making them king on the interweb, and who really cares about them? All that you are doing is fueling the flame. And It's not like they are going to get out of their mothers basements any time soon anyway. :p I had to say something, after reading some of the silly comments. Just my piece. :)
@grim0187 Honestly, I said, I don't play shooters. I don't hate them, I don't hate the people that play them. I couldn't care less about those games/gamers they do not appeal to me in anyway. You just sound defensive because I don't like this kind of humor. The auto scope though, was pretty funny, not lol worthy, but I got it. It went downhill after that I'm afraid.
@grim0187 I don't play shooters, neither do I play online games. I didn't find this remotely funny. Drinking your own pee? It's a toilet humor at its best, and caters to people with that kind of humor. It's really just immature.
@aepervius I realized that, but I just felt like including her there since she's definitely one of most memorable characters I've encountered, besides, she's the cause of you know what. :p
1. Kreia -Knights of the Old Republic 2. Sephiroth -Final Fantasy VII 3. Loghain -Dragon Age: Origins 4. Ravel -Planescape Torment 5. Frank Horrigan -Fallout 2
