[QUOTE="turq_razor"] [QUOTE="foxhound_fox"]You forgot to mention System Shock 2.BloatWare
They didn't make system shock 2 on their own. They got help from another studio.
Uh, what are you talking about?
It was developed by Irrational Games, Irrational was an offshoot of the Looking Glass Studio. IrrationalGames was created y three employees of LG (most notably Levine.) You don't know what you're talking about, do you?
And SS2 was awesome. it's after the fact patched on multi wasn't very good, but the game itself wa (which is why I don't mind that Bioshock doesn't have mutli.)
What other studio are you talking about?
They developed it on their own.
Nothing to say about this buddy?
And, to answer your original question fans of good games are excited about it because it's the [spiritual] successor to SS2, now combine this fact with the huge amount of financial resources Levine has at his fingertips because of IG being acquired by Take 2 (and with this comes a much larger development team, much more so than he had with SS2,) near complete creative control by Levine, and the lessons he learned from creating SS2.... and there you go, that's why people are excited.
And when it eventually comes to the PS3 (I believe it will) PS3 fanboys will be extremely excited about it as well.
Who knows how it will do score-wise on this site though. SS2 was HUGELY underrated by this site, just like the original Deus Ex was. Apparently they have a hard time ranking games of that type. To give you an idea, Deus Ex got something like an 82 here, it has something like a 92 on GR and it won numerous GOTY awards. SS2 got something like an 85 here, and has a 92 on GR and also won numberous GOTY's. Because of this I really don't give a damn what numerical score it gets here.
