I liked Fallout 3 at first, but it got a little repetitive for me and I got stuck. I was thinkin of picking up Oblivion but am a little worried. I did like Fable 2 alot though. So any advice? Or other game suggestions?

A lot of replies say that oblivion and fallout are essentially the same. I beg to differ.

Some of the feel is the same yes, but they are very different imo. The combat system and leveling are completely different (better in oblivion imo). No VATS in Oblivion either. VATS kind of make Fallout way too easy I think. Combat is more exciting in Oblivion.

Although by no means flawless, I find the leveling of your character much more satisfying in Oblivion. In fallout the level cap of 20 is reached super fast.

What I'm saying is: You MAY like oblivion even if you dont like Fallout 3. I like Fallout 3 but I like Oblivion better.

I have to agree with most people here. Oblivion is the better of the two. BUT both are great games and Fable 2 is very enjoyable, much smaller in terms of play time. You will have seen most of what this game has to offer after the first playthrough and your characters skills will be maxed out relatively quickly. It's also a little too easy imo.

That said. You should definitely get it. It's great.

It's also slightly prettier than Oblivion.

Jade empire, Fable, and Ninja Gaiden are the only Rpg games that i like in Xbox. I have never played them before and i want to. They are cheap now and i'm wondering if i can play these three games on the xbox360?chicks_boy

Yes. I have all three and they work fine. Excellent games (even if ninja gaiden is a little too hard for me).

BTW: I wouldn't call Ninja Gaiden an RPG

What's wrong with being a vampire?

Palantas

It doesn't gel well with the paladin I'm trying to play.

Think Blade and kick @$$ night time ;-)

What's wrong with being a vampire? Vampires are people too, and have feelings and everything. Stop bashing the vampires please.

Besides being a vampire actually suited my Khajiit Thief/Assassin very well, massive attribute boost when hungry. Just have a snack if you need to see someone. Besides who needs daylight anyway, the cover of darkness is quite useful in some lines of business.

If you want grand soul gems, they are lying around in many of the mages guilds. You could always "borrow" them.

The quest is glitched probably because you were in the cave before. Not even an update can fix that, because the update only works if it is applied before the glitch happens (for that save game). So you would have to reload a save from before you entered the cave or start over.

It happended to me too, and updating didn't fix it.

Good news is, not completing that quest does not prevent you from finishing the fighters guild quest line. It does however prevent you from getting anymore "jobs" and therefore the last advancement (and achievement) of the fighters guild quest line before the finale (Talk to the dark elf Modryn Oreyn in Chorrol)

Oblivion! I have spent probably more than 500 hours on that game with three different characters. I am still playing it. It was the primary reason I got an XBox 360 to begin with.

Mass effect has a great story, but it feels more like a movie than a game, only the main quest is interesting (and that is rather short). Character development including equipment and side quests is not interesting at all IMO.

Playing Eternal Sonata now for about 7 hours. Doesn't really feel like an RPG yet. So far it is very linear with no choices on where to go and what to do.

I am looking very forward to Fable 2 (enjoyed the original) and Fallout 3. Probably going to get Lost Odyssey as well.
