Now, I realize that I am setting myself up for a beating... but I must say it's my OPINION that GRAW 2 for the PSP is better than most say.
I understand that it is not the tactical, squad based gem we have all come to enjoy on the next gen systems, but once you get used to the control scheme (which took me until around level 3) it becomes fun. The graphics and gameplay are not bad at all.
I'll admit it's nothing to write home about, but those of you on the fence about getting this game, rent it if you can, but give it a few levels to graw on you (notice the pun there?) Sorry.
Anway, it his nice levels, 22 in fact. They are somewhat linear, but nicely done, and you do revisit some levels, but the change in mission requirements make that easy to overlook. My 2 biggest complaints are (1) the couple of escort missions. While not terribly difficult, you will die over and over until you locate each enemy so that you gradually get a little further and little further until you complete the levels and (2) the ending is weak, the last mission plays out like any other mission, you never really feel like you are building towards some great fight or battle, it's just another list of tasks to accomplish then the credits roll.
Overall, I'd give it a 8 out of 10, gracious maybe, but I had no problem with the controls, graphics, missions, anything really, just give it time, when you feel compelled to put it down, give it one more try, it will graw on you (sorry) I promise.
Okay... flame away
