Bewteen a new 360 (Arcade, Core, Elite) on the shelves right now or a "fixed" unit from Microsoft after it has a RROD?

I ask because if the units that break get sent off and get repaired by adding the hardware internally that new units are being shipped with... then something doesn't make sense? Why are the new ones still breaking?

Thanks.

Thanks

Now, I realize that I am setting myself up for a beating... but I must say it's my OPINION that GRAW 2 for the PSP is better than most say.

I understand that it is not the tactical, squad based gem we have all come to enjoy on the next gen systems, but once you get used to the control scheme (which took me until around level 3) it becomes fun. The graphics and gameplay are not bad at all.

I'll admit it's nothing to write home about, but those of you on the fence about getting this game, rent it if you can, but give it a few levels to graw on you (notice the pun there?) Sorry.

Anway, it his nice levels, 22 in fact. They are somewhat linear, but nicely done, and you do revisit some levels, but the change in mission requirements make that easy to overlook. My 2 biggest complaints are (1) the couple of escort missions. While not terribly difficult, you will die over and over until you locate each enemy so that you gradually get a little further and little further until you complete the levels and (2) the ending is weak, the last mission plays out like any other mission, you never really feel like you are building towards some great fight or battle, it's just another list of tasks to accomplish then the credits roll.

Overall, I'd give it a 8 out of 10, gracious maybe, but I had no problem with the controls, graphics, missions, anything really, just give it time, when you feel compelled to put it down, give it one more try, it will graw on you (sorry) I promise.

Okay... flame away

I would like you to sound off if you have invested at least $279.99 for a *new* Xbox 360 with the new Falcon chip and heat sinks and still had it break on you. I am thinking of getting a 360, but to pay that kind of money for something that you KNOW is doomed to break just doesn't equate.

So just how reliable are they now, any brave souls gonna admit that their *new* units are still dying? Or has MS really fixed the problem?

I got it, hockey is not everyone's cup-o-tea. But NHL 07 was pretty good. Better than any of the Gretzky dredge that exists out there. So what's up EA... or 2K Sports... seems like one could dominate with the apparent apathy of the other to produce an NHL game.

Sigh...

My best experience... everytime I want to game, no matter where I am, it always puts out.

Have had their replacement xbox 360 break on them? I am thinking of getting one, after this month when the price either does or does not drop, and I don't really mind waiting a week or so for a replacement should I have to, I don't game EVERY day anyway, but I was just curious how many people have had a "fixed" xbox break again? Thanks.

Buy their console recently, know they have the falcon chip and have had their unit die on them? I want an Xbox to casually game, but not in the mood to send it off every six months, and I have heard that even some of the Falcon chipped units have begun turning up broken.
