The one I have and the one I want are both 42" plasma. I will be sitting the average distance (5-7 feet).Bryan_Williams
At that distance and size you are going to notice an increase in quality and clarity with a 1080p monitor. Boz

I recently had one three-year old Crucial stick go bad on me. Calling customer support I got a real person in Idaho at their HQ. They shipped out a new set of FOUR sticks of RAM to replace mine - a superior model since mine was no longer manufactured - and I shipped back the bad RAM. I will never buy another brand. I cannot recommend them enough. If you can get it in the U.K. at a reasonable price, I'd advise it.

If not, I've had excellent experiences with both G.SKILL and ADATA support; your mileage may vary.

Good luck!

They are different technologies, like the difference in red/blue versus polarized lenses. While passive 3d is proven to have additional artifacts, the difference will really depend on viewing distance, screen size, and the viewer themselves. It all gives my wife headaches - even the active ones - but your mileage may vary.

Personally I don't think either format is quite there yet. I do think 3D television is the future, but the technology still needs to mature dramatically, in my opinion. I'll take a high-quality HD picture over 3D and spend the savings on better audio equipment. :D

If you're looking for a consensus, I'm in agreement with ChubbyGuy40. Also: You not getting the AV-40's, or is this a separate purchase, then? Happy gaming, Boz

You can do far better for the money; ChubbyGuy40 has the right of it, but it's your call. I'm very happy with the HD202s. Boz

Multiple studies have shown that the brand of thermal paste is relevant, but much less so than proper application. Pick up almost any paste from Arctic Silver and you can expect similar levels of performance (within two to three degrees, Celsius). There can be a material difference, but it is typically negligible in real-world applications.

Good luck,

Very odd, when I watch a Duke Nukem Forever PC video I do not see the facebook page nor do I see the image roll, I see the video comments directly below it.fabz_95
Do you have a Facebook account or are you logged in to Facebook? I only ask because I do not have a Facebook account, and wonder if that might impact the page layout.

I also wonder if this is related to Duke Nukem's "featured" game page, as the layout for game launches is different from the standard GS layout.

Happy gaming,

Boz

On the latest Duke Nukem Forever movie page I get the following Facebook image between the movie and the comments regardless of browser (Firefox 4.0 and now IE9 in both XP and Windows 7 environments):

Facebook Junk

I thought it was just the one day, but now it's happening whenever I visit this page. It does not happen when I visit other game movie pages. It's kinda weird.

Thank you,

Boz

I sincerely apologize for crediting a prior statement from Bozanimal as user waitaseck. I value Bozanimal as a member of the community, and besides find him dashedly handsome, so I can only hope that he can somehow find it in his heart to forgive me.RealKilla_789
No worries, Realkilla_789, the quote system can be a little funny at times, and might even be prone to abuse in the wrong hands. :P

I wondered about that too...I'll have to look at get back to you

chikenfriedrice

Ah; so is this a prebuilt PC, like an Alienware or iBuyPower, or was this a PC you built yourself? In the case of the former, do you have a model number or name? Knowing what you have for a PSU will determine what types of components you can support, and whether you may need a new PSU for upgrades. Since it will have a significant impact on your budget, you can pretty much ignore all of these recommendations until you figure out what you have for a PSU. If you open your case and still don't know, take a picture of the label on the side of the PSU and post it here. It will look something like the following:

Good luck,

Boz
