@OldDirtyCR @CFritzRun Thanks for your sage advise oh, wise one. I actually do operate my own game business. You know how I operate it? By paying attention to the things my customers want. You know what I can't get rid of right now? The kinect sensors. Microsoft wouldn't be in the position they're in if they listened to the response from the first one. Look at Sony. They advertised a motion system that was, by all means, better than the Kinect. It didn't do well, so they abandoned it, more or less. It isn't about what they can do now, it's what they should have done.

I guess what I'm saying is you clearly are along with Microsoft in your lack of foresight. I suggest you not move into business because you clearly can't grasp what the majority of people want, which is the very foundation of any business. Move along.

Also, you repeated yourself with your "two" reasons. I wouldn't suggest English for you either.

Maybe it's just me, but if everyone griped about needing Kinect and you reversed your requisite policy, why not just understand that nobody wants it at all? People aren't interested in paying for something when they don't want it. If it's as much a part of the "ecosystem" as the controller is but isn't required like a controller is, then it really isn't part of the ecosystem, is it? I just don't understand Microsoft anymore.

@Saidrex I'm pretty sure that number is all inclusive. I can't imagine why they wouldn't count digital sales in their total figure of how many were sold. In any case, both the reboot and Guardian of Light are fantastic games and I'm glad to see them reach a milestone with sales. I want a sequel to both.

Damn. It looks like Deep Silver just got out dead islanded. That's some good looking pre-alpha. I'm very interested.

@lonewolf315 @CFritzRun @asbsand @TheScarecrowBB If you're complaining about fetch quests, you should probably stop gaming right now. RPG's are built on grinding and fetch quests. Yes, the original ending was complete garbage, but, again, that has been amended. Sounds like to me, you just don't like Mass Effect. That's fine but just so you know, the reason most people were unhappy with the ending was the fact you spent all this time with your squadmates of different alien races to end with no closure (in terms of the original ending).

@asbsand @TheScarecrowBB Using ME3 as an argument against Metacritic is stupid. Mass Effect 3 was a phenomenal game. You can't give a well polished, absorbing game a 50 because you didn't like the ending (which has been addressed by now).

I've never seen a review that states the game has no challenge and then in the next breath say that challenges are abound. He said there are challenges just to justify how horrible it is to start all the way over when you die, or if you die, rather. It's really hard to tell since he can't be consistent in his opinion.

So, to make sure I understand correctly, the game isn't challenging. Yet it is challenging because if you die, you have to start over. But you shouldn't die because he says your patience is the only thing that is challenged. So he wants the game to be easy AND have infinite lives.

Get real. What an awful review.

@stealth-logic @CFritzRun They wouldn't do that though. It's all about making more. Even if they provided a small incentive for us game stores in terms of new games, if it didn't end up making us more money then we'd have nothing to do with it. You also have to consider the amount of bookkeeping and extra work to deduce who gets what. No game store would be willing to put forth the labor to pay someone else money. It's a lose, lose situation.

Go for it. See how long game stores last after that. Game stores buy the new game first then resell it to the customer for a very small mark up (the profit off of new games is negligible at best). If game stores didn't take trades and treat it as "real money" usable towards a new game then they wouldn't be able to turn around and buy the new games from the distributors. It's a beautiful cycle that only ignorance and stinginess can destroy.

Source: I own a small chain of game stores.

@jungleboy16 I think the problem most people have is loss of immersion. You can't get pulled any farther from the game than having to put down your controller to pick up your phone and have a fictional phone call with a video game character.
