"Windows Vista taught Microsoft a lot about what not to do when launching a new operating system. Don't launch an operating system with shoddy driver support. Don't launch an operating system that's ridiculously slower than your last operating system. And finally, don't launch an operating system that requires a huge memory upgrade to run as well as the operating system it's replacing" You just described Windows XP's launch, lol. A lot of people, especially fans of Win2k, said almost the exact same thing. Swiftstrike5: I agree, gadgets and peeking at the desktop are trivial. The new taskbar, on the other hand, is a significant improvement to navigation and general ease of use. UAC is practically gone (the average user will probably only see it when installing something). As for compatibility issues, Starcraft and Diablo2 (both from the 90's) seem to work pretty well on both Vista and 7, I know that much.
I'm using the beta right now. So far, super smooth, no compatibility issues, and tons of fairly useful features/changes. Also, IMO, probably the biggest improvement to navigation since the original taskbar from Windows95. Plus, you get a super cool loading screen =). Fallout3 and TF2 both run on par with vista, if not slightly better.. I predict that this OS will surpass Vista's install base practically overnight. FYI: Core2 2.5GHZ/4GB/8800GT
Notice that's Crysis on HIGH settings not VERY HIGH. $650 and you still can't max out crysis... I'm beginning to think no card will ever be able to max it out.
I'm the only one who has given any evidence at all, I shot down all your games with the exception of a few I've never head of (and the few blockbusters). You still don't get the point. The question is What does this system offer me that I can't get ANYWHERE else. That's it. "argueing with you is like argueing with a little kid" says the guy with the DBZ avatar.
Are you smoking and stfu, yea that's real harsh, I'm surprised you're not crying right now. The "show me" bit is the only thing that matters, cold hard facts. What is the argument itself then? I must be confused, I thought it was about which system I should own based on what it offers, its main feature being it's exclusive games.. please, enlighten me, what is the so called "topic". "Every response to me from you has had no substance that actually makes a point towards the arguement itself. You continually ask for games releasing or you entirely ignore statements I've made. If your going to respond to me, make sure its with something that is relevant to the debate" .. not only does that hurt, you are also telling me what to say....
