When we were buying our house a few years ago, we went to put offers in on a few other houses. One the lady noticed - I can't remember how - that my wife and I were quite into movies. She started telling us how in a years time there'll be an IMAX and a new Hoyts appearing round the corner. Five years later and there's still no IMAX or Hoyts there. Another place the guy did an auction on paper - basically taking a bunch of offers and sitting everyone down separately and saying 'put your best offer down'. The worst thing about that was not knowing what other people had offered and not knowing how much to offer - the house was on the market for $370,000, do you put down $390,00? $400,000? Because it would have been our first house, we ended up putting an offer for $399,000 so we still got all the first home buyers grant bonuses. The house ended up going for $430,000, but it really soured my feelings about realtors. It's also not an illegal thing to do, but it's a pretty shitty thing to do.

Playing Rush on Battlefield 4. I alone capped the first five mcom stations, with one left. Just about to take down a tank that's right next to the last one and then my connection is lost with the server. My k/d ratio was great 18-6 and I was top of the ladder. Disappointing.

Kanye's Yeezus is the best hiphop/rap album this year I think. I'm not sold on the Eminem album. Best album of the year is Abbe May's Kiss My Apocalypse and The Drones I See Seaweed. Easily.

I can't even get my turtle beach headset to work! I've still been using the psvita headset with microphone. If anyone has any suggestions for cheap and effective headsets, then let me know. If I keep being the stick in the mud then I may not be effective enough to be in it, or as James suggested, I just record my own tracking and see how that goes.

But, yeah, fucking Big Day Out. I haven't been in years and this line up looked good. I'll see who they replace Blur with and if it's worth my time.

Worst fucking news of the day. Blur have pulled out of the Big Day Out. I was all set to buy my ticket this week, but now I won't go. I was keen to see Arcade Fire and possibly Pearl Jam, but now the drawcard for me is out so I'm not going to throw my money at a useless festival. Fucking Ken West and AJ Maddah. I bet it would have been an argument about who would be closing the festival, Blur or Pearl Jam.

Do you think they'll have deals like that for the PS4?
