@4le_breVVer @Claudu Doesn't matter man, if you're working legally then they'll have to pay you the minimal wage at least, that's still 3x more than I earn in my country.
Let's all rejoice, cause Europe has to pay ~30% more than Americans, as always. $200 is nothing for a working American. I'd have to spend half of my monthly salary to get this console. Hopefully my 2007 fat ps3 won't die anytime soon.
Half-Life fans are kinda sad for being so obsessive with a sequel. I mean, it is terrible that the story isn't finished, but sometimes you just have to get over that. I've seen many great stories never being finished like Anachronox, Shenmue, and some of my favorite tv series like Twin Peaks and Lars von Trier's Riget. I'd be happy to see how it all ends, but sometimes it's just not possible and even if it was, I'm not gonna spend my time whining and begging, cause I can always watch/play something else.
I like my old games very much, but I don't really care for remakes or remasters (like DuckTales). If I want to play an old game, I will. HD re-releases aren't so bad though, as long as they just bump the resolution and frame-rate and don't tinker with the game itself.
@yavix @Claudu At least the facade of honor, but this is what drives them and at the same time is their greatest flaw on a social level. For decades japanese artists (especially in cinema, like Kobayashi and Kurosawa) tried to show the true face of "japanese honor", but it didn't really change much. I am still fascinated and love this culture though.
@yavix I agree jobs are hard, but this guy's from Japan, now that's a country where your job is your life, literally. Game developers practically live in the offices until the game is finished. It's a country where they have programs to help retired men get to know their wives and shit. It really is a different level of "job".
Whining, whining, whining. As I said a million times already, there's a second hand market for almost everything and nobody is bitching about it as much as games publisher. Stop blaming everybody around for the fact that some games are not selling as much copies as publishers would like to. If you can't afford to make expensive games then make less epxensive games, problem solved!
Kojima shouldn't push so much for open world. I've spent hundreds of hours playing various Metal Gear titles and I get bored after an hour of GTA. To each their own, but for me personally GTA is not an example Kojima and his team should follow while making their next game.
The sad thing is that even if Don Matress was fired from M$, he earned more that way than me and my entire family will ever earn working for 100 years each. Long live America and long live capitalism!
That is so much bullshit. It's not like games from other regions are widely distrubuted in others. The reason for region locking is money. Because every European knows that games and systems themselves in America are dirt cheap compared to Europe and if someone has the ability to get them from there he's gonna get a hell of a better deal. Games in Japan are also cheaper (for people who know japanese).
