These episodes should be 30 minutes long! Great as always Danny! This the first episode I didn't go through a nostalgic feeling since I've never played Zelda. (yes I know, I'm an heretic)
Can't wait for next week since I'm also a big fan of point and click although my favorite adventure game is not considered one, it had its roots from them though, the great.. Grim Fandango.
Noel Sharkey said pretty much everything, you cannot program common sense, there's a lot of humans that don't have it, let alone try to replicate it for a machine. Support robots like Big Dog from Boston Dynamics should be our main bets in this type of technology since they can be useful out of the battlefield by being adapted to help people with disabilities and in the medical field.
@cellbuster I think you meant Snow, Lightning is a girl. And I agree with swamptick on this one, FFXIII is too girly, I'm at the beginning of the game but the story and characters seem too much of a "soap opera" (telenovela in my language lol) that's one of the main reasons it doesn't push me forward, I just don't feel any empathy with the characters, maybe it's the english voice over that does it, but it constantly feels out of place.
@Joedgabe What exactly didn't you like in FFX? It had a great environment with great graphics for its time, an engaging story, combat system, sound design and the first to give you what fans always wanted, controllable aeons\summons. The only thing it didn't have from prior Final Fantasy titles was the world exploration, I think it's unfair to say the only good thing was Blitzball.. and I'm not even an hardcore fan of the series, I only played FF VII and FF X, I have FFXIII sitting on the shelf for months and only played 10 minutes.
@abHS4L88 Juggling the tablet on your lap doesn't seem an option and even if that would be the case, you would be left with 4 face buttons, if you're grabbing the tablet with your left hand, assuming the average person is right handed, you will have 8 possible buttons, each direction x2 if used in combination with the left shoulder button, controlling the cursor would take most of your time to use the 4 buttons on the right side of the pad, it just seems unpractical. and I don't think you would have enough control to play it at a good level. For the casual gamer, yes, it might work.
@AndySchatz I don't mind DLC (except at launch) if it's a well thought addition to the overall experience. I can even digest some of the same experience if it's reasonably priced as this is a prime candidate for, I know it's really hard to do game changers with DLC or any kind of expansion for that matter but lately we just get a sense of violation, perhaps of being cheated. If you are in fact the creator of this apparently magnificent game, then I salute you sir, it's a great work of creativity, the atmosphere seems great, the tension is palpable and it reminds me of my favorite game series of all time, Metal Gear Solid, that in itself, is a great achievement.
@RYPER The tablet controller is not multi-touch, that's already a deal breaker. If you can't control your cursor and use the hotkeys at the same time it's useless.
