@hamartia208: I find it to be the most interesting part of the series. Otherwise, it's just another open world action adventure game.

@darthrevenx: The way I interpreted it is, the public story is that he was executed, but in reality, they just put him under and moved him to this secret facility. Not actually killed and brought back from the dead. Also, they're not recreating Desmond's story, so they can do whatever they want.

The robotic arm is clearly different, but I think it relates well to the current VR craze which requires you to move freely in the real world while visually seeing another world. In the trailer, it's clear that while he's in the memory space, his physical body is actually performing the actions. This makes the robotic arm a requirement in this version. I don't mind this being different.

@jski: Did the character cause the deaths of hundreds of other people, or did you the player? Maybe you just brought your style of gameplay from other games, where you freely kill everyone, into this game. Maybe you played that way because if the same thing happened to you, you'd go rampage nuts killing people. I personally stayed focused on the task at hand and avoided killing people whenever possible. If I remember correctly, there aren't many, if any, scripted killings. The only one I can think of is Quinn.

@RJS86 It's already a $40 game, not a full retail price.

@rickphoenixxx @Sgt_Crow SO is pretty lame honestly and realistic racing games are tired and old. Not a single exclusive on the other consoles is interesting enough to get me to pay up right now. Just stick to PC and Nintendo and you're pretty much covered. Of course in the end it's all just a matter of opinion and what's important is having fun while gaming and I've had the most fun on a console in a long time playing WiiU.

@Atzenkiller @Bread_or_Decide @franman781 Gee, wish I could play with all the "cool" kids playing the "cool" games. What is this, high school? You're just further illustrating the point.

@darkbrym There is definitely a common thread in every Zelda game but how you go about getting through the game changes up. Whether it's on foot, a sailboat freely exploring, flying on a giant bird, riding Epona, or turning into a 2D Link to travel through cracks in the wall, they've definitely added lots of new stuff over the years.

@darkbrym @Atzenkiller @action_b4stard Most Mario and Zelda sequels and spinoffs change the formula drastically. They innovate the gameplay all the time. What's popular on other consoles? Mostly sequels and spinoffs also but they don't change things up nearly as much if at all when it comes to gameplay.
