No shit Gamespot. This was old news 3 days ago when you first posted it. Now you've bumped the article & called it "updated". For what? Stop bumping your own articles & try posting something people want to read the first time.

@btotheotothejtothef:

If they set the series earlier in Geralt's career I can see it working but I've got to be honest & say I'm a bit miffed Mads Mikkelsen didn't get cast, not sure if he was efer in contention for the role but he would've been perfect as Geralt. I can understand though why they went with someone as high profile as Cavill who seemed to really want the role. He pretty much begged for it. I hope he can pull it off because I already want season 2, 3, 4, 5 & on regardless of who plays the White Wolf.

Is it just me or does 8 episodes feel a little short & rushed? I just finished watching the new Jack Ryan series & it was 8 episodes averaging a standard TV episode without ads in length & it felt pretty rushed in my opinion, it could have used either longer episodes or at least another 2 episodes to round it out a little better. Along with a well done TV series based upon Raymond E Feist's first 3 Riftwar Saga books a well done Witcher TV series is something I've been hankering for for a while. Hopefully they don't dick it up.

Mads was my hopeful choice as well. Hopefully they either hire some shit hot make up artists or they set the series early on in Geralt's witcherying career to make Cavill a passable White Wolf.

I hope the whole movie falls apart. No self respecting Joker fan wants an origin story.

You echo my own grief. I've been pining for Tenchu for years & to hear that we almost got a new game but it turned into Feudal Japan Souls is a real kick in the nuts.

After how Rian Johnson absolutely ruined not just episode 8 but destroyed the narrative Abrams seemed to be trying to build I think I'll give episode 9 a complete miss. I prefer to leave it at just the first 3 movies. Rogue 1 wasn't too bad but everything else has been disgraceful and it certainly doesn't help that Disney is more content to blame fans than own up to the fact that their Star Wars movies are about as loved by fans as Lucas' second trilogy was.

SPOILERS

Saw it a few days ago. Very, very, very mediocre, no real reason for it to be made at all other than the fact that it offered another opportunity for everyone to know that at least at some point, despite Lucas's best efforts to ensure otherwise, Han did shoot first.

@fenbops: Feeling that way myself. It's like Assassin's Creed, CoD or Far Cry. Franchise fatigue is setting in & considering that the only decent Star Wars movie out of the bunch since Evil Corp bought out the Star Wars rights was Rogue One I really don't see it getting any better in the future.

MILD SPOILERS AHEAD....... The Force Awakens was passable, not great but from the point in The Last Jedi where Luke throws the lightsabre away as soon as Rey gave it to him, it was almost as if the entire second movie was made to shit upon everything that they'd tried to build in Force Awakens.

Now Rian Johnson is gone & JJ has to come back & try to salvage the story he tried to build that was thrown out as soon as Luke tossed his lightsabre & was screwed even further into the ground when Snoke turned out to be less than a weak bitch villain of the week in a Supernatural episode.

It seems that Disney doesn't know WTF it wants. As bad as Lucas's second trilogy was I'd put money on the fact that he'd have done far better with the 3rd trilogy than the weeping sore that Disney has turned Star Wars into thus far.
