Nintendo is dead to me. I learned my lesson with the awful original Wii.

So even if the new Nintendo console comes out blowing everything else out of the water your going to skip it because you've formed a personal grudge on the company for not taking their time to personally satisfy you last generation?
But hey, who am I to interfere with someone taking a stand against this tyranny. You show them by depriving yourself of something you might enjoy and maybe, just maybe that few hundred bucks they don't get from you will cripple the company and then you can have the last laugh. Start practicing that laugh.
I am going to skip it because i hate tablet based games and hate motion based gaming. Why would i waste my money on things i dont like?
Little known fact. WiiU controller isn't a tablet.Thank you :DAgain, like I said in SW, great post and very informative !

I hate to be a grammar whore, but you misspelled "Controller". Good post, I'm not sure if anything can really be considered confirmed at this point, it is still pretty much all up in the air until Nintendo finally decides to release some more information.meetroid8I probably had a lot of misspellings that I couldn't be bothered fixing. There's no way in hell I'm proof reading that. :P Some things are confirmed, such as launch titles, and multiple controllers, as they came straight from the mouths of those who control it. The rest of it (specs, online) was taken straight from the mouths of those who have spent considerable amounts of time with the Wii U, so they can be taken with at least some credibility.
Lovely thread based 100% on rumors and speculation. Just lovely.-CheeseEater-Well I wouldn't say 100% :P Seeing as a lot of this info was taken from people who have had extensive time with the console.
I think there's two versions where one is an mmo that's only coming to Wii. Correct me if I'm wrong.I've only scanned through your post (will read in full soon) and have noticed you put DQX as being confirmed as an 8th gen exclusive, if memory serves me right DQX will be comming out for both the Wii and WiiU.

Wii U controller has a sensor strip on it remember? :P That's how they played golf.[QUOTE="D4W1L4H"][QUOTE="SuperFlakeman"]
Well maybe not for some games, especially if Zelda will be played mainly with wm+, how on earth are you supposed to play on the u-pad alone, you'd have to be at a distance from the screen to be able to swing the remote around and then you wouldn't see anything on that little screen at a distance.

That's not what I meant, to use the motion/IR of the Wiimote, you need to be at a distance from the screen in order to be able to wave around/point, and at such a distance, you can barely see anything on that small screen.
The wii U controllers sensor strip is much smaller( ie. the two sensors are much closer together) which allows for the wii mote to be used properly at much closer ranges. The two IR lights would be capable to sense flicks in all directions at close range, which is basically what is needed to play SS. You wouldn't need to be at a far distance. Hell, it probably is impractical, but it would still work.[QUOTE="D4W1L4H"]

Thanks for the post. There's some good information here. Does anyone know if you will be able use "remote play" with all of the Wii U games using the controller? Something like that would definitely peek my interest a little more.

You can play all Wii U games (and I presume Wii games) with the controller alone, but the controller has to be within a radius of the console. So don't expect to use it as a portable.

The concept looks really good, but i'm not so sure about the execution of it all.
