Forget cussing. It's overrated. How about adding depth to the damn thing instead of the same mechanics they've been using for decades? How about adding voices and HD graphics that look as good as other contemporary games and a proper story and actually changing or evolving the game? A sequel?Giving you a brand new adventure? Not relying on old fans who will at this stage buy anything you throw at them?

Chemical_Viking

Everything you said there was wrong and you know it.

Gameplay mechanics? Um... Every PS360 game uses generally the same dual analog, 4 face buttons, 4 shoulder buttons gameplay mechanics since 1997, while Nintendo has strived to put new gameplay mechanics in every generation.

Zelda and Mario aren't the only first party Nintendo IP's. There is Voice acting in Metroid, Starfox, Kid Icarus, Xenoblade, Punch out, Fire emblem, among others.

Yeah... That's exactly what the Wii U is doing.

Are you saying that The Legend of Zelda Timeline is not a propper story? Are honestly saying that The Legend of Zelda story has not evolved, when it is the longest lasting story out of every videogame?

Not sure if serious...

Refer above.

yeah, sure buddy, when Nintendo is the only videogame hardware developer which is actually trying to open up the gaming market.

Yearly releases for sport games have become the norm. They're mainly steered towards the so called 'bro gamers.' Where I live, Madden isn't that big. Most of my friends buy FIFA every year, and usually don't know jack about gaming. (I was explaining to one that Skyrim was a multiplat, not only did he not know what Skyrim was, he didn't even know what a multiplat was.) Those games are geared towards the casual market.

seems to me that nintendo is making the sega mistake. Too many consoles out at one time. the ds was the same price as the 3ds last time I hit the game store, the wii should just die out cause doesn't the wii u support the wii motes anyway. Hell a new pokemon was announced for the ds, what sense does that make.

ceelogic

Wii released in 2006.

Wii U released in 2012

DS released in 2004.

3DS released in 2011

Sega Mega CD released in 1993

Sega 32X released in 1994

Sega Saturn released in 1994/1995

I see no similarity.

PSP released in 2005

PSV released in 2011/2012

PS3 released in 2005/2006

Now there's a similarity.

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime briefly spoke to All Things Digital about what consumers should expect from Wii U. One of the things Fils-Aime did mention is that pricing for console will be priced substantially higher than Wii and that Wii U will mainly interest consumers who want to have the latest gadgets and have a higher disposable income.

The market is going to continue to differentiate based on the types of experiences that consumers want. As an example, if I'm the head of a household of a family of four, and my disposable income is $50,000 to $60,000, I'm going to continue to look at the Wii because of the software, and it's a great entertainment device. For consumers who want to have the latest gadgets and have a higher disposable income, that's for the Wii U.

We haven't announced pricing or availability or any other details, but given the current pricing of the Wii, it's not going to be there.

We've been very clear, the market is going to decide how long these products will coexist side by side. Our goal is to launch the Wii U and drive it into the marketplace, but it will speak to a different consumer than the one that is buying the Wii today during the holidays.

Inb4 Nintendo is doomed.

Inb4 Wii U will fail.

Inb4 AtariKidX

Inb4 3DS flopped.

Inb4 Sony is doomed

Inb4 Gimmicks

Inb4 $600

Who gives what other people think? The fact is, the gaming market will continue to move forward with innovations, and people who want to play with outdated 1997 controllers will be left behind, while real gamers who are willing to try new things will continue to have fun.

[QUOTE="AmnesiaHaze"][QUOTE="RyviusARC"]Umm I can already play Wii games in HD on my PC. Arach666

is there any legal way ho to do it? otherwise id be careful to post such statement here

Well I´m fairly certain that if you own the disk there´s no problem in using your PC instead of the Wii to play the games.

Not aloud to mention you run emulators on SW.

It's on like Donkey kong.
But sadly, it isn't being as pushed anymore like it once was. They should make a Donkey kong 64 sequel, then I would be in heaven.
