I bought a Wii thinking I would be able to swing Links sword around in real life, shoot while pointing at the screen in Metroid, experience a brand new 3D Mario platformer, and play many other amazing first party Nintendo titles. I got exactly that.

I bought a 360 thinking I could play quality HALO titles and various shooters, experience quality online gaming on a console, and I got exactly that.

I bought PS3, thinking I could play great Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Ico, Shadow of the colossus, and other great Sequels to PS2 games. What I got was awful spinoffs and HD remakes. Oh, and Interactive movies.

It looks incredible though, good 3rd party support + quality Nintendo 1st party exclusives = Take my money. I love my Sony stuff but if the Wii-U is a success then i'm totally getting one.

Out of the consoles, yes, it may have the best hardware, quality to power ratio, most features, but that in no way makes it the best console. Personally, If you already have a gaming PC, I see no reason to own a PS3, seeing as their exclusives are lackluster at best, and their multiplats are basically being run on low end PCs rather than consoles. I've only used my PS3 a few times, only to play a few overhyped exclusives.

IMO, the only real console this gen was the Wii. The traditional plug and play console, no mandatory installs or any of that other tedious PC exclusive perks.

And it may be the last.

Actually, no. I've never heard anyone make a complaint about the dual screen or the clamshell design. Generally, the most popular reason for not liking Nintendo products is the "kiddy" complaint. Although, more recently, (6 years or so) there have also been an influx "gimmicky" complaints.

and they do not sell their systems at as much a profit as Nintendo does. Greedy Ninty. :(

It will print money just like all their recent consoles (DS, Wii, 3DS) did. Also your fantasy is really lacking if you consider this controller a gimmick.

It really amazes me how something which has been popularized to an extent where every conceivable product has had one implemented at atleast one stage can be called a gimmick. :lol:

But it gets worse. I once found a guy calling the 'circle pad pro' a gimmick. :lol: I mean, adding something which serves to mimmick the capabilities of its competitor is the exact opposite of a gimmick.
