Going back to happy gaming moments.

Some games hold old memories for me, not so much Mario and the old systems but rather the Xbox and PS2 games. For sports Madden will never be forgotten, also the MVP Baseball 2005 will be a missed franchise. For shooters Halo and Call of Duty of course, Halo for its crazy fun multiplayer and COD for its historic purpose and the cinematic moments. There are plenty other games that I will hold dear in my memories, but these are some of my favorites. So what made me write this blog post? well I saw Call of Duty 3 on a clearance shelf for the PS3 and picked it up, thinking it would be nice to back to WWII. Its been 2 years since the last release of a WWII game (not including Medal of Honor and a few lesser titles) so I'm bringing it back. If you long for some WWII action add me to your PSN friends list with a message and I'll be playing COD3 all week.I've only played a few matches but the community still seems strong. I'm planning on getting Medal of Honor Airbourne soon, even though the ratings are low.
And to Activision and Infinity Ward, please bring this thriving series back to the past where it belongs.
Why do I argue?

As I was catching my last team deathmatch of the day in Call of Duty 4, I found myself in a deep verbal battle with a younger lad. The conflict emerged at the beginning, as he continually repeated the same words over and over, "noob". There is a fundamental sound in this word that fires up my inner fury. I hadn't played particularly badly in the previous match, actually I had done better than my opponent, yet he would not stop bashing me. After I had heard him rant on for a few minutes I decided enough is enough. I decided to go on my verbal crusade. In my attack I was careful to use only facts, no bad mouthing, and I also decided it would be best to be calm and clear. I don't want to go into farther details, but I can say this; at the end I felt no sense of satisfaction. I realized I had forfeited my time of enjoyment doing my hobby to argue minuet stupid things with a 13 year old who was getting his rocks off making me angry.
What did I learn from this experience? If a game doesn't offer a mute function then take off your headset.
Frustration online.

When RSV 2 was first released a few weeks ago, there were almost no restrictions on grenades/explosives....now its nearly impossible to find a host who hasn't restricted it. I personally think that all weapons should be allowed to be used, that's why the Ubisoft included them in the game. It shouldn't feel like a cheap kill when you get hit by a grenade, it should thought of as part of the game. I tend to be more mobile when grenades are allowed, you never know when someone's going to lob one at you.
Also why do so many people spawn camp in this game, is it simply because the maps are small, or is it just to piss me off. I think the manner in which re-spawining is done in RSV2 could use some work.
So if you see me online feel free to lob some grenades my way, but stay away from our spawn point.
