Thanks for the help guys, but I just ended up searching EVERY pillar. The game and all these sites lied unless I'm blind. The way I did it is like this. There ARE 4 top pillars which are skinny. And 4 BOTTOM(of screen) which are thick and sort of diamond shaped at the top. Now, if you count the bottom ones, the 1st from left doesn't have it(the one closest to the metal gate) the second thick bottom one doesn't have it, but the FIRST thin one, actually THIRD from left HAS it. I was astounded. Just go behind the FIRST skinny pillar, point south, and BAM "There's a switch here, do you wish to push it?" Just astounding. Hope nobody else gets stuck there like I did. Was almost a game breaker. In other news, I'm happily moving on, now 6 hours in. (not counting the 2 hours I spent re-doing the section 3 times to get to the pillars to try to find that switch, LOL)

Yeah, all guides say 2nd pillar from the left. I've just beat Marcy and talked to the prophet of Truth. Supposedly, if I hit this non-existent switch, a platform will lower and I can fight a guy named Lynx. WHERE IS THAT GOD-FORSAKEN SWITCH?! LOL I can't remember the last time I was this lost in a game.

I picked it up from the local thrift shop. To whoever asked, I'm 18. Been meaning to play Chrono Trigger for the longest time, just haven't gotten around to it. The music is great, better than Final Fantasy tunes, IMO. They seem more "western" somehow. Seriously, to those who beat the game, WHERE is the switch? Game says 2nd pillar from the left. I went behind it, in front of it, beside it, around it, and have been pressing the X button everywhere, but I can't find that switch. Somebody help, please? A screenshot or something. No BS, I fumbled my way around that pillar for 15 minutes today.

Man, just got to the prophet of time, just astounding for a story. I keep forgetting it is almost 10 years old, which, is definitely a good thing. I'm stuck though. I haven't looked to a walkthrough in forever, but I had to. Prophet of truth told me to head for the 2nd pillar on the left for a switch. Switch.....where? Hopefully youtube will rescue me. An analog stick would help too. :P But D-pad is all we got.

Yeah, that's what I was asking, was how to save. 3 hours in, just got to Vipor Manor. You say I got like 25-30 hours to beat it right? The story so far is phenomenal.

Alright I got my first question. I can't save. Any ideas why? I got past that intro dungeon level and into the little village where you talk to marge. I try to save, and the save feature is dark grey and won't allow me to click on it. So I see I need to make a PSOne internal memory card. Played again, got to same point, nothing. Switched PSOne internal card to the 1st slot, and still can't save. Any ideas?

Sorry to disappoint you, Matthews. :P Yeah, I couldn't believe it when I ran into it. Somebody here asked where I got it, they should know I found it at the thrift shop. Somebody had scattered its disc. I found one single disc in the "game+DVD" bin, and thought somebody had bought or taken the other disc and case, but I kept digging and I found the 2nd disc and case. I was astounded when it rang up for 1.99. Can't wait to play it. I only asked which to play first because in the gamespot review it said that cross kind of EXPANDED the story of Trigger. But I guess it doesn't matter, I'm too excited to wait to play cross, I'm gonna' dig deep into it this weekend. :D Anybody know how difficult/long it is compared to other RPGs? I'm hoping the story is good enough to keep plugging away for at least 20+hours.

Yes, that's right, 1 dollar and 99 cents for the complete 2 disc Playstation game.......Chrono Cross. Case is like brand new, games themselves are lightly scratched, I went over them with some scratch remover and they both now look like fresh from the factory discs. Now, I never played Chrono Trigger, so I'm not sure if I should even play chrono cross, but I know trigger got great reviews and cross earned itself one of a handful of Gamespot's 10/10 ratings. I'm excited, to say the least. Anything I should know before I delve deeper into the game?(so far I'm like 10 minutes in, just fired up disc 1 to make sure it plays) Should I hold off on cross and play trigger first?

So Final Fantasy 2 on Snes=Final Fantasy 4 on DS? Is that right? But DS has better graphics.

Found super mario world and FFII today at a thrift store for 99c each. Comes with a plain plastic case, a dust cover, AND original instruction booklets. FF even has the little guide that tells you about the different cities. Another question, if FF3 for SNES is actually 6, then what is FF 2?
