[QUOTE="DRIFTIMUS_PRIME"]Why would you want SSB for Virtual Console. Last I checked, It is still playable on your dusty old N64? Why, don't you still have your N64? You don't want to play it in all its original pitch fork controller glory? YOU NEVER HAD AN ORIGINAL N64???!!!! WHAT, you SOLD old faithful 64 for a gamecube and the cube for a Wii?!!!?! For shame on you all. :P j/k *P.S. remember cartridges? Cartridges 4 Life. :D *fmacraze
cARTRIDGES ARE FOR WIMPs.... i really wanted to say somethin stupid liek that... anyways.... i dunno if ssb will come out... but it should come out around now cuz.... or atleast a while before japan releases brawl...
No, they're good, really! *pulls out original SSB catridge from original SSB box and puts it in original N64. Sees nothing on screen.* *begins blowing into cartridge slot* COME OUT PESKY DUST!!! ARRRRGHHHH!!! lol[QUOTE="Coda_"][QUOTE="iQuaKe"]I've had my 360 since launch date with no problems and I thought I was a lucky won. I was so wrong. My xbox got the 3 rings today and now I have to pay the $139 to get it fixed. If only it had happened months ago, It would have been free. I am convinced that every xbox is faulty and destined to break sometime. Those that have a sense of "oh, mines not going to break", need to accept the fact that It will. My friend just got his fixed box back and he's pleased with the results. I hope mine comes back fixed like his.Bgrngod
You really should not give up that quick. This same thing happened to me. Call them (M$) back be nice but stern and tell them how you came across a article on how M$ was repairing 360's that were made in '05 for free. And since your system is part of that batch you should be able to get yours repaired for free as well.
I was in the same suitation as you a few weeks ago, and you can read about it a few pages back. But I just got back my brand new 360 last week, and I did not pay them a dime for it! Good luck
MS is not fixing 2005 360's for free anymore. That "promotion" has been discontinued (yes that is an actual quote) I spoke with 3 supervisors, complained for a really long time, and filed a BBB report. MS actually called ME back after the BBB report (a case handler called) and they still would not cover the repair cost. Mine had a manufacture date of 12/5/2005 and I got back a 12/23/2005 console.
Bgrngod, I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes here, but, as far as my experience is concerned, MS is NOT done with that "promotion". I've spoken with at least 10 other people with my case of "Tell them about free repair, 'warranty is magically extended'". So I don't know if perhaps you have a special case, or maybe they have wrong information in front of them concerning your console's manuf. date, but I really wouldn't discourage newer people with our old problems not to at least TRY to grab that free repair. Claiming that "MS wouldn't fix my 360 for free" would be one thing, but flatly stating that "MS is not fixing 2005 360's for free anymore." and calling people's stories about getting a free repair "Horse Crap" is something else. I'm sorry that you were basically fed a bunch of bull and had $140 taken out of your rear, and that you are understandably bitter, but please, don't shoot down a useful fact to others, therebye possibly taking $140 out of THEIR rears too. Please, anyone with a console manufactured before Jan. 1st, 2006, attempt to get a free repair before you give in to their price...call back until you get a differant representative, but the worst thing any of you can possibly do is feed the big Software Giant ANOTHER 140 un-deserved dollars. Good luck to you all with your problematic 360s...Godspeed and Goodluck to you all. :)I bought a used 360 a month ago knowing it was a huge risk since the previous owner purchased it at launch. Sure enough it recently went through the red ring of death parade. However I called Microsoft up and told them that I heard systems made in 2005 could be repaired for free. The agent dodged my question and put me on hold. After about 8 minutes he came back on the line and said that my "warranty" had been extended. Anyway, the are fixing it at no cost which is good, but I have to wait for the long process.StickyShoezBascially what happened to me. LOL There is a conspiracy, I tell ya'! Well, my everlasting saga with MS continues....*sigh* Whoever said they are borderline mantally retarded about 3 pages back was correct. I called them before, which I posted here a few pages back. Basically, the rep. said to give them 72 hours, and call back if I still hadn't been updated on my console repair. Soooooo..........Call back 72 hours later, a new rep tells me they are allowed "8-10 days". 0_0 I said "Of the three representatives I've spoke to through this process, NONE of them said it would take 8-10 days...they all said 5." So she says "Sir, I don't know what they told you that for, but the process takes 8-10 days, it is our policy." I said "Okay....thanks I guess". LOL What will the next rep tell me when I call back when it has been 10 days since they've had it? "It takes 10-20 days"?! LOL I can't believe them...they are full retards....all I can say is, if they don't give me my original console back after all this time, then there is SOMETHING WRONG with their heads. I can't believe some organized group hasn't sued them yet....
