I wish I hadn't paid the $40 for it, and I probably won't get the full version. I had forgotten how much I hate the way a sim racer controls. I can't come in higher than last place on any race, even on the oval track. Even if you slow to 20MPH to make a turn, the car either won't turn at all and you run into a wall, or the car starts skidding and you go off the track.

I think I'm going to get GRID instead. It got a 8.7 on IGN.

I'm not sure that's even possible. You should get a medal for being able to do that.

If your loosing on GT, What makes you think youll win on Grid. Like the players are worse on grid?

Because GRID is a arcade racer, so I'll be able to actually make the car turn.

[QUOTE="DSPX"]How do you copy all the saves, downloaded games, profile, preferences, settings, and the operating system from the old HDD to the new HDD?ddashboy242
Go to backup utility on the xmb, backup the ps3 saves to an external hard drive formatted at Fat32 swap the Hdd go back to backup utility and restore the saves

Do I need to create any special folders on the external drive? Does it also copy your profile, settings, and your virtual PS2 memory card?

I'm just hoping for dual analog control so we can strafe, and a quick select weapon/item system like Ratchet and Clank or RFOM. I'm tired of having to pause the game, open 5 menu screens to get to my item box, highlight the weapon I want, open another menu, choose 'equip', and back out of 5 screens to return to the game.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Bulletwitch. I still have that game. It's a fun game, but I have 4 complaints about it. 1) You can't perform the spells in real time. 2) You can't earn skill points in mission select mode. Meaning you have to play through the whole game over and over to earn enough points to upgrade your weapons and abilities. 3) You can't save the game during a mission and come back to it later. You have to play through the whole level to save the game. 4) The final boss fight takes literally 30-45 minutes and has no checkpoints.

I hope they address these issues if they make a sequel.

Turok was doing real well on the n64, one of the best fps ever, then to see it on the ps3 and play it, i was real disappointed with it. realistic44

Yeah, Turok is the most brutally hard and frustrating game I've ever played. When I read that the PC version had cheats, I traded in the 360 version for the PC version. You can mod the crap out of the PC version, so now I love the game because it's no longer frustrating with cheats. Not only can you have infinite health, but you can change the strength and ammo count for all the weapons. On top of that, there is a save anywhere feature. The aiming was garbage on the 360 version, but it's a piece of cake with the mouse. Plus, I think it looks better on the PC. That's probably because I have a dual core 2.66 GHz, 4 Gigs of RAM, and a GeForce 8600 GTS graphics card.

I'm about to leave right now to go pick up my reserved copy. Not every game I get has to be a masterpiece. I enjoy a mindless, easy run and gun shooter every once and a while. If I allowed other people's opinions to influence my decision to get a game, I would have missed out on tons of games that I like.

[QUOTE="DSPX"]Oh well, I'm still going to pick up my reserved copy tomorrow anyway. I've never cared about things like story and voice acting in videogames anyway. All I care about is shooting stuff. Plus, I love games that are really easy.shadystxxx

to each his own

I do agree with the statement "to each his own" but DSPX statement basicly says yeah i like crappy shooters(well in his opinion there good) and theres allot more people that like games like that basicy run and gun shooters with no innovation(nectar is not an innovation IMO its a gimmick IMO).

But i thinks its a problem that gamers will accept poor games, they buy them so pubs/devs will continue to make them we have had countless crap fps games over the last two years and if they didnt sell at all /pubs/devs would think twice before releasing crap, but because there cheap to make and can turn a profit(turok/blacksite) they will keep making them.

I wouldn't say that like "crappy" shooters. I'm actually very picky when it comes to games. But at the same time, there are things that aren't that important to me that are very important to other people. Basically, if a game has good controls, is fun, easy, and I get to shoot stuff, I'm happy. I'm probably the only person who hates challenging and hard games. That only frustrates me to the point where playing is no fun. That's why I only play my PS2 games using the Codebreaker, and I usually get shooters on the PC because I can mod the .ini files to make the game a breeze.

I also love RFOM, COD4, Half Life 2, Portal, Red Faction, Timeshift, Timesplitters 2, Quake 4, Doom 3, Chronicles of Riddick, Deus Ex: Invisible War, and RTCW. I don't consider those to be crappy.

[QUOTE="Def_Jef88"][QUOTE="Revolver_Ocelot"]What the hell are 8th graders doing with cell phones? Spoiled kids these days
Kuhu

I had a cellphone in eighth grade... :|

I didn't... :|

Neither did I, I only got one in grade 12 :L

Young people today don't realize how good they have it. When I was in 8th grade, it was 1983. There was no advanced technology, we had nothing. I had to get my mom to drive me to a arcade everytime I wanted to play a videogame. Even then, she only gave me 4 quarters to play with. All we had at home was a VCR, which was about 3 feet long and wide, and a Radio Shack TRS-80 computer. The programs had to be loaded from a cassette tape. You had to have the volume just right on the tape player or the computer couldn't read the program.
