Leonard Boyarsky ex Troika and Interplay and Kevin Martens ex Bioware , as the lead what they shown by now looks good. The worlds, classes and the crafting system to.
Not sure that the game will make it this year, but there is always hope.

One thing I really hope they don't have in witcher 2:
the dumb animation where he is holding the blade by the hilt and decides to instead flip the sword around and grab it by the blade and hit them with the piece of the blade right next to the hilt in an impractical move that seems like an eternity to finish.
Mr_Ditters
Well, it's such a manly move.
The loser is not worthy the fast death by a blade, better make im suffer even more with a blunt hit. :P
It's like smashing watermelons, just saying.
[QUOTE="Planeforger"]This might sound very unreasonable from me, but just sounds like any RPG ever ported from consoles. Didn't Oblivion work the same way. Or Two Worlds II? I'm over it. Thought differently about this game, clearly i was very wrong. I think the dissapointment is what's getting to me, not the fact that it's kinda consolised.People complained on Facebook, and their response was:
"Let me get that controls-thing straight. The interface has been designed to work perfectly on both kb+mouse and gamepad. It's neither gamepad-only nor kb+mouse-only. We've got chocolate and peanut butter in one - easy access (pad) and keys customization (kb). Peace out!"

How is it ported from consoles when the console versions are being latter released than the PC version. The combat change ,face it is something to blame PC gamers for, they complained.
What is known:
16 endings, 5 chapters. 3 classes, standard signs + one added, 30 armor sets, alchemy, crafting. Combat depending more on Geralt's skill, rather than on the players response speed. Depending on your build different injuries, worlds are roughly per chapter 3 times biger than the first game. Game is longer with side quests than the first one.
The camera looks fitting the Arkham approach, and the for cinematics. Two Worlds 2 has 4 tasks assigned to space and a max of 1x AA, and bloom that burns the eyes. Maybe they fixed it by now, but was the horror. Arcania is a product of gamers and devs, not of consoles.
How many people complained about the Witcher's combat-many.
Personally I found it very unique and liked it. No matter how much action they add it fits Geralt - the superhuman from the books. Not a single video looked consolised , the game has potential sure, but the tactical cameras of Ol' Aurora are gone with the new engine, and the game was in dire need for a new engine, because Aurora was dated even 2007.
As for DAO , the improving by removing Bioware did with ME2 and now even more with DA2 is disapointing indeed.
The only thing that may have impact is the fact that Lucas arts has no rights now, full publisher and development rights except some minor input is in the hands of EA. EA invested lots of money in this game, the decision is their.
Liking the art style. Everything is horribly low poly however, are these from the game or some old removed content ?
The lighting engine is not working, looks like a separate one, really unexpected. To blurry and low detail even for consoles.
[QUOTE="Ocid1"]Don't know If Crysis 2 is a PC centered game. But i put off getting it, along with some other games because i wanted to support PC development. It's not really that hard to understand. In my eyes, The Witcher 2 is just another consolish game on PC. And it doesn't stand out from any other high profile game, RPG or otherwise.Really?
You're championing Crysis 2 as being a PC centered game but complaining about The Witcher 2?
How does this interview change anything from any of the footage or previews you've seen before?
GeneralShowzer
You got me completely confused. You are aware that the main factor about a game is the Engine. If we reflect on various Engines than:
Cry Engine 2- PC,Cry Engine 3 more console oriented or multiplat.
Unreal 2 PC friendly. Unreal 3 more console oriented, Unreal 4 a complete console Engine.
CDC running Deus Ex HR console friendly capable however to provide great controls , and views.
The Visceral also, however EA doesn't like PC users as shown with Dead Space 2. ironic that the first game served as a image polish for EA.
The old Aurora that was running NWN2 is the same console friendly engine that was running The Witcher. NWN2 was made for a Xbox release .
All you need to do is compare screens of NWN2 and The Witcher to see what a proper upscale for PC can do to a game.
The Witcher 2 is a downscale port for consoles, the Engine is console friendly but it doesn't make it in to a console Engine.
I understand your concerns but this is something to worry about for the Witcher 3, if the game becomes a parallel development.
Here are very early ,very unpolished and incomplete views on the PC interface:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QURcotdjEQ&feature=player_embedded#
Another video is showing flawless view distances, great motion flow and fast responding animations with 360 degree turns. Can't find it now it's the dungeon escape ending.
Also non of the CD Project guys is speaking proper English, these are learned phrases like: critically acclaimed , engrossing if you watch their interviews they are using the same words again and again, like me
So just watch a few videos to see whats going on. It was confirmed that the Engine is console friendly, but the "in mind" thing is more around outsourcing the Engine later than about the game.

[QUOTE="Raxzor"] I gave you a preview of the game made by a critic who actually has played the game for five hours straight... and IGN has been reliable for me.
Some artists/creators consistently release good works that meet a certain standard of quality during their time. I'm not saying that BioWare can't make a bad game or that we should solely have expectations of a game based on previous accomplishments -- just that we shouldn't jump to conclusions when MANY previews actually said the combat will be very similar for Dragon Age 2, ignore all the evidence and be surprised if the game is actually decent.
It's very possible for humans to fail and it's quite possible for BioWare to release a 'bad game', but between Dragon Age, Mass Effect and the Old Republic, I don't expect BioWare to fail when it seems to be reaching the height of its career ( at least for me ).
I know not everyone may actually like BioWare and what it's doing now, but for everyone that liked BioWare's more recent works ( Kotor, Dragon Age, Mass Effect ), I don't expect them to be disappointed.

You gave a preview writen by a girl that likes romances. Nothing wrong with that, exept that this is the XBOX version in the wrong section.
a) Not everyone is awe struck by reviews and previews, so the game can get a 10.0 a be GOTY, that will not change the fact that :
companion customization is gone
-less spells and skills
-camera changed
-aproval system changed,
-origins, and races gone
-dialogue wheel with a paraphrasing system, the same one that was able to produce face palming moments in ME,
-companions having a fixed class
-combat action oriented- nothing wrong with that, there is a limit however to how much teleporting and backfliping one is willing to take in a RPG.
-stuck with one sibling depending on your imported class from Origins
b)You are assuming that what works for you works for everyone else.
I don't expect them to be dissapointed
Well, Kotor, DAO, and ME are not comparable with ME2 in any way for some people.
c) I personally wonder if you liked DAO, since you seem to like more Bioware Corp a EA division.
I've already said that I posted it here to show people that the combat is not being dumbed down as playing more like an action game ( according to the preview ) and I think that goes for both versions of the game.
She is playing the console version. The console versions are "improved".
They will get better controls with a los of a tactical view.
Nothing wrong with romances but "My lady Hawke has an attitude." is ading a lot of girlie preferences and
"I was told that being a rival with a party member does not mean you can't pursue a romance (hot hate sex anybody?), though I do imagine it will be harder to woo them."
And no one is trying to discredit Her, She was really annoyed by the XBOX version of DAO, the controls so She's happy now, and this is still not PC related.
So this is article is not related to the more traditional approach of PC players, when it's confirmed by the devs that zooming and panning is way reduced, and the camera is atached to the character.
Also She confirmed that everything is simplified and reduced, and combat is the last thing some people care about, especially those that liked DAO as I did.
And I don't care about some peoples idea that Bioware can't do wrong, they did for me in ME2.
And ME2 was a great game with a 10.0, it still was bad for a RPG even compared with ME that already was a RPG lite.
There is improving and then there is removing, there is a glaring difference between these two .
And assuming=/= knowing how someone plays His games.
