@ggaming72: That is a terrible excuse for online and also pretty stupid to praise it for, we shouldn't need to be connected online to have functional games, games should be functional day 1 when they are released.
While I'm glad that they are releasing it for PC I'm annoyed that they do it in such a later period, not because of waiting but because of the inevitable lack of online community that will be in the game, if they had announced it would come to PC (and possibly Xbox1) on the same day the community would have thrived, now they will be lucky if people buy the game at all, seriously devs you are just screwing yourself over with this practice, if you want higher sales on the PC then a- release them on the same day or at least announce it on the same day and b- optimize your game, most people on the PC community are not blind sheep, they WILL look at the reviews and feedbacks and that WILL affect their decision to buying the game or not, personally I'll get the game (eventually) but seriously japan get your shit together, and stop with the whole timed exclusive thing, its damn annoying and isn't beneficial to gamers in any way.

I don't think anybody cares what engine they are using especially given how good the game looks (fps needs to go up though, square should release stop with the 20fps average standard on their games)
1 - Square enix is a huge multi billion dollar company, enough money to publish lots of games, drop the bullshit, you are not convincing anyone with that "returned investment" bullshit.
2 - How many open world episodic games do you know out there and how many episodic games do you know that needed to be episodic in order to deliver greater content? do you believe RE Revelation 2 for example needed to be released in episodic installments? episodic installments was introduced by indie devs, indie devs don't have as much money as square shitnex so its understandable that they needed to use the model, larger companies like capcom and square enix are exploiting this, they don't fucking need to release the game in episodes, they are clearly doing this to rip off fans, its what square enix does, they always attempt to max the hype so that they get people interested in their game and when their games are out they turn out to be shit quality, and they WILL over charge for it (or atleast they attempted to, after the huge back lash right I doubt they will go through with their original plan, but I'm giving them too much credit...)
3 - Plausible? have you played ANY open world games since the past decades? GTA San Andreas? GTA5? Fallout? Skyrim? Xenoblade Chrocniles? those games had WAY more content than FF7 and they still managed to pull them off on a single installment and were able to add extra DLCs to them later down the line, no this is not a reason or excuse, and a fucking lie (or they are incompetent, either way not a good thing for the FF7 remake).
