"Stay on Target!"

Hello, it is me again just giving you a little update on what my progress is in the targets I set up for myself for the coming week.

1.  Finish Gears of War
I am only at the first checkpoint of Act 4 because that blasted courtyard bit at the start got on my nerves and it took me about nearly an hour just to get past that bit.  I hate those elite locusts with the torque bow because half the time I was doing well then boom got hit by a arrow and took a one way trip to splatsville.  Will play more today.

2.  Complete Season Mode in Hard in SVR 2007
No need to talk about this since I haven't touched upon it yet.

3.  Reach the fifth dungeon in Zelda: Twlight Princess
I will say I am about midway between the 2nd and 3rd dungeon as I am currently in Hyrule Town about to embark upon the journey to Lake Hylia to get the tears of light and get the twlight realm away from that province etc.

4.  Reach 12500 achievement points on Xbox 360
Not much here.  Got 20 points in Gears of War for winning each game type in multiplayer meaning I have 246 points to go now to reach the target.

5.  Try to get a Home run in Baseball in Wii Sports
I played this for about 20-30 mins yesterday and I think I am getting better although I think the computer in this particular sport is sometimes cheating.  Like I hit a good strike and for some reason they seem to know where the ball is heading and I get a out (Abby is the one to blame).  I got runs now no doubt but haven't hit the home run I require just yet but I am getting there.

Anyway, that is an update of my progress into achieving these targets and will provide you with updates everyday so take care.

Hard Tar-get!

Since I seen a GS friend of mine do targets for himself (AndyWilliams24).  I have decided I will do the same thing and hope to accomplish all of them or most of them by the week's end, which is midnight Sunday.  So here is the list of targets I hope to achieve by then:

1.  Finish Gears of War
I haven't come around to finishing this game yet, as I sort of got distracted playing online on Smackdown, some Guitar Hero 2 and now the Wii is in my hands, some Wii games.  I am currently at the start of Act 4 on Hardcore mode meaning if I put my time into this, I should be able to beat the game with no bother.

2.  Complete Season mode in Hard in SVR 2007
I sort of have to go through Season mode again to unlock all the legends and that because I did a stupid thing and my save for the game got screwed up because of it and thus have to unlock all the stuff in season mode but I will do this but probably by skipping the majority of them apart from the PPV matches and any other important ones.

3.  Reach the fifth dungeon in Zelda: Twlight Princess
There is not a chance I would finish this game now by the week because I am only at the 2nd dungeon and have been playing it for about 8 or 9 hours and since I play other games too, then it would make that task harder but I deem this task I set out possible and next week, will probably be continuing this task only to finish the game.

4.  Reach 12500 Achievement points on Xbox 360
Currently, I am on 12234 meaning I only have another 266 points to go to get this achievement and there are a few games in my collection that I haven't got a lot of points from like COD 2 and Kameo and thus this task would be easily accomplished.  Might be better to do 13000 but probably would fail that.

5.  Try to get a home run in Baseball in Wii Sports
This one might sound so stupid to some of you but every time I hit the ball in that game, about 90% of the time it is a foul ball and when I hit it right, I usually end up out before i get to first base.  So, I want to get a home run now and not a normal run.

So there you have it, there are 5 targets I have set out for myself to hopefully accomplish by Sunday and I am sure I can do them all no problem possibly.

As for Gamers Den, couldn't do it  this weekend since I didn't have the time or whatever but if you are free next weekend, then let me know and post the times you are free from and to.

So this has been Darrogamer06 signing out and ROCK ON!

Gamers Den News

Ok, I don't think I am going to do my podcast today and maybe not tomorrow unless a few of you who are eager can let me know if you are free.

WhiteCloud I know is not available but if NeoJedi and any others are eligible then let me know asap so I can do it either today or tomorrow at most.

Wii are in for a ride!

[video=KnNgkzuo5bgLsjXZ]

Guess what, I GOT MY WII!! YIPPEE!! Ok, I got that out of the way and above is the two parts that form the Wii special video blog from yours truly although I dare you to watch the 2nd part and actually make it through to the end, I DARE YOU!

Since doing these videos, I have played Wii Sports and Rayman Raving Rabbids and the first impressions are good for the two of them as I like how you use the Wiimote to do the various things in those games although the nunchuk sometimes didn't pick up my movements of it in certain mini-games in Rayman but not a huge problem.

Anyway, since I am now a owner of the Nintendo Wii, here is my Wii friend code or Wii number, as the console likes to call it:

0158 2258 3702 3188

So add me onto your friends on the Wii and also, made my own Mii, which I will show you sometime soon.

Be sure to check back this weekend or next week for more Wii videos with Wii Sports, Rayman and Zelda all being played so until then, ROCK ON!! m/

December to never remember and Gamers Den news etc

Hey guys, it is yours truly again and just want to thank some of you out there with the interest in participating or going to listen to the Gamers Den, which is a podcast that I have decided to do and will include news, games currently playing etc.

Unfortunately, though since my last blog, Wesker and EightBitWarrior have dropped out in doing the podcast and I know a few GS friends of mine are in it including NeoJedi and WhiteCloud954 amongst others. If you guys from the Unnamed podcast and Gamers Den would like to be apart of the podcast, then by all means let me know.

The plan for the first episode is to occur sometime on Saturday perhaps so hopefully all who is interested in being apart of it, let me know if you are free on Saturday or on a certain time and will see what occurs.

In other news, which no one will care about apart from Denis and other wrestling fans, I watched ECW's December to Dismember free on Sky Sports and I am so glad that it was free and not on Sky Box Office because this was one of the worst PPVs I have ever seen and none of the matches on the show I could consider great.

Hardyz vs MNM was the only decent match on it although it went on too long and people were getting a bit tired of it around the 20 min mark I presume. The extreme elimination chamber was a travesty in that the table was never actually used apart from Lashley breaking the steel above his pod and the barbed wire bat was never used to get someone busted open.

It was pretty stupid with the whole Hardcore Holly elimination as the ref NEVER hit the mat for the third time and yet he got eliminated. The eliminations went too quick like there was 3 eliminations within the space of 5 mins. Just crap apart from the first 10 mins or so then it went downhill from then.

None of the other matches are worth mentioning because they were crap. And in WWE.com, I seen that Paul Heyman has been let go because of this amongst other things and quite frankly, they should just drop the whole ECW brand now because after that travesty of a PPV, which I have not seen ONE positive review for at all and don't think I will.

So it is only 3 days to go and it is getting close until the Wii launch in Europe and when I get the Wii, as I think mine is safe since I got mine pre-ordered along with Zelda and put down a deposit. So once again, just to remind you that I will have a special video with me opening the Wii up and setting it up etc and all that there and then will have a blog or video blog a few days later with my impressions on it.

So this has been Darrogamer once again and ROCK ON! m/.

The Gamers Den??

You may be wondering, what the hell does that blog title mean? Well, after reading thiis blog you will know why.

The reason I have come to this decision is after being apart of the Unanmed Podcast the other night and the way that it went down. I decided that I would prefer to be part of one that was a bit more calm and civil and have a good discussion with news topics and games the panel has been playing at the moment etc.

So, in other words, I have decided to start my own podcast and two Gamespot users who I get on well with are up for it and they are EightBitWarrior and NeoJedi. So judging by the blog title, I have chosen a name for the podcast but if you guys who watch and read my blogs have a better one, then feel free to pm me or post a comment..

So, anyone is welcome to be apart of this podcast so if you want to be apart of it then all you need to do is pm me, NeoJedi or EightBitwarrior to say you're in and to download Skype and register with it.  Even if you are apart of Gamers United and that, then feel free to be a guest speaker on certain occasions.

So, that is what I have done and hopefully we will get a few eager gamers out there that want to be apart of this.

ROCK ON! m/

Guess who is on the Podcast?

Hey guys, I was on the infamous Unnamed Podcast this week and be sure to check it out here where we can discuss things like the usual Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360 stuff, Def Jam, backwards compatibility etc.

Also, I will have a video blog later today perhaps or sometime anyway with me counting down the days for the Wii launch here in the UK and when I get it with Zelda.

Same old, Same old

Hey guys, it is me again bringing you an update on what has been going on in my little life here in the UK.

Well, nothing really different to say in the gaming world because I have been playing the same games as usual but I have to say that Guitar Hero II in Hard is definitely more difficult than the first one and not sure if I am going to make it all the way to the last section.  I started trying to do the up and down strumming because I have been told that you definitely need to get used to that in order to defeat songs like Misirlou.  I don't think I will get used to it in Hard but tried it in Medium and seem ok with it.

I had a good time playing World of Warcraft last night by going to Stormwind and Ironforge, which I am currently at and there is a lot of Alliance help missions that need to be done there and honestly don't have an idea on where to go to get 20 items of each type.  If you guys know if there is any guides around online that can give me an indication on where to go for some of them, then I will be happy.  Still at Level 19 but soon I hope to be at level 20.

Well, me and my brother now are going to be home alone you may say over the weekend and that since my parents are away to London on a little bus tour and my other brother is away on a trip to New York (Queens, I believe) for a week meaning I can play WoW whenever I want over the next week.

Also, I paid £100 on my Wii gift card I got from GAME meaning I have paid £120 already, since I believe that the £20 deposit that I did is included.  Really looking forward to getting up at around 5 or so then going in early to finally get the console and a certain game I have been waiting all year for.

Also, I might actually do some sort of marathon on a game in the future sometime and if you look at my games collection in my profile then you can select which one you would like me to do.  I am going towards Ocarina of time at the moment since I haven't played that game in a while but I know what to do and where to go to progres through the game until the Water Temple because that temple still gets on my nerves after all these years. I actually might just to some sort of Walkthrough video form on it and do it in weekly spots or something like that because I don't think I can handle playing a game for 12 hours straight or whatever.

Let me know and also, I plan to test out my recording of Smackdown matches this weekend for the upcoming TWF Show Total Annihilation to see if everything looks alright and if not, then hopefully someone else on the roster can do it then.

I still plan to do a video blog of me opening up the Wii along with me setting it up and having my first hands-on experience with the Wiimote so stay tuned for that.

That is all from me now and only 8 glorious days left until the Wii is in my grasp muhahahahahahaha! (evil laugh)

Wii are excited!

[video=dXBmk2at5bgKvj7W]

Yes, at this time it is only 12 days until the Wii and I talk about my anticipation for it in my latest video blog.  Also, games I am looking to get and play for the Christmas season and the usual games played and bought.  So, enjoy and ROCK ON!

It's been a while!

Yeah, it has, as this is my first blog I have done in a week thus I should go about and say what I have been doing in my week etc and any new purchases but if you check my blog regularly and that you will know.

I have been playing basically Gears of War and Smackdown for the last week or so along with World of Warcraft, because I still love that game but I don't play it every day now.  I am not level 18 and almost at level 19 and hopefully soon I will be out of Darkshore and into Ashenvale where I can do some quests at a different location because I am getting a bit bored with Darkshore.

As far as my progress in Gears of War, I am currently at the start of act 4 on Hardcore difficulty yet I haven't been playing it the last few days because been busy playing Smackdown and going through season mode with my CAW to get his stats up.

I found another few things in Smackdown that bug me but it is not really to do with what is in the game because I have said enough about them.  It is the online in that I absolutely hate people quitting from a match early or whatever just because they are getting beat down by someone etc and half the time I can't finish a battle royal or a elimination tag match because some loser quits it and just spoils it for the rest of us.

It is good to know that they get the loss anyway when they leave although I believe if it is a 1-on-1 match or something or a tag match, then their opponent(s) should get the automatic win but alas, they don't.

In other news, I have picked up another game this week and this makes November very interesting for me because every week of this month, I have got a game that was released that week.  Here they are in the order I got them in:

Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - 5th November (released 3rd)
WWE Smackdown vs Raw - 9th November (released 9th)
Gears of War  - 17th November (released 17th)
Guitar Hero II - 24th November (released 24th)

I have played some Guitar Hero action yesterday and today and I love the game still because I played the first one to death you may say, but I am just not feeling the song list, as I totally prefer the first game's song list.  I started on medium as I thought I would have a problem with the later songs in that difficulty and basically 5 starred every song I have tried on my first try except for a few but they are easily achievable though in my eyes.  But I know when I start hard, it is really going to get on my nerves then just like a few songs in the first one did (No One Knows still haunts me....jk).

So, that is what has been up in my life the last week, just doing the same old stuff, playing games and loving them nonetheless.  Also, I pre-ordered my copy of Zelda: Twlight Princess for the Wii yesterday also and I don't really care if the Gamecube version in terms of critic's etc is the better version because to me the Wii version looks more fun even though some people say the controls feel tacked on etc.

Only 13 days left to the Wii comes out here in Europe and I will be definitely getting it that day along with Zelda and enjoy it all the same.  Also, post questions PLEASE for my next video blog, which I might do tomorrow or early next week.

So, this is Darrogamer06 with another blog and until then people, ROCK ON!!

BTW, being in level 20 sucks, as it takes AGES to get up and I visit this site practically every day and post stuff on forums and watch videos and that.
