as an Xbox360 fan myself, i'm starting to worry about what will become of the 360 in 2008. Bungie parts way with MS, EA buys Bioware, Peter Moore left MS, RROD problem keeps re-occurring like a nightmare, meanwhile things are starting to look good for Sony.

HELL NO! If you've got a job or some reasonable income, or you just aren't broke, then KEEP IT! Wait for the PS3 to get as good as it can be, because as of now it's not so hot. It's not a terrible thing to have the best of both worlds.

PS2 fans have been waiting for 6 years for a new machine to take the throne of their beloved console... or have they? I mean, there have been 120 million PS2s sold, while only 6 million PS3s sold? Doesn't this suggest that PS2 fans don't care about a successor to their console because it is already such a winner of a system? Some PS2 fans have moved onto the 360, butI assumevery few of them are moving onto the Wii (Wii mainly attracts new gamers).

So, I have a question for you PS2 owners. I am a PS2 owner myself (I loved my PS1 as well) and what would like to ask you: Do you really think your PS2NEEDS a successor? The console is cheap, has a massive library of aweome games that rivals the NES and SNES, the graphics are moderate, and its just a great system.

As for me, I have a Wii and 360 to "succeed" my PS2, because the PS3 still needs time to mature if it wants to be a "true" successor to PS2 in my opinion. It is hard to bethe successor of a console that is already succesful and is selling huge. With the Wii and 360, I am offered innovative controls (Wii) and awesome online (360). PS3 still needs time to combat the Wii and 360 from my viewpoint.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't production of PS2 consoles been discontinued? And if so, you gotta think that some people would naturally go for the latest if they were just breaking into gaming or something. And some people think PS3 will be as big someday.

Personally, I want a PS3 for MGS4 and other games. I hope it's games get better and it really opens up (all the more benefit for me since I have a 360 as well :P)

Cheating is a bit iffy for me. I mean I don't mind finding glitches and having fun once I've beaten a game, but I generally don't use cheats unless there's a level I cannot, for the life of me, get past.

Online cheating...yeah, I dunno how to do it, never tried it, never will. I don't want a 9999 year ban from XBL

50 a year isn't too much to ask for, especially if you can fork over several hundred for the console. Also, it's to play every game online on xbox.

I've read that PS3 developers can charge for their own games individually.

Xbox Live has:

-In game friend chats and invites

-a far wider selection of multimedia available

-cross join games

-better player profiles

-better lag

Your parents or whoever provides money for the internet on your computer, right? Suck it up.

i just realized that the ps3 and wii are not enemies but friends soy and nintendo never had system because of the variety of games nintendo made the fun family one and sony made other fun games like crash and spyro. greedy microsoft just had to destroy all peave with its dumb xbox that break 1/3 of the time go back to software microsoft let nintendo and sony make their games. i soon might get a wii once i get nough games on my ps3. i want the wii for its cool virtual console so i can play some classic games and plus the new fun games that use the motion sensor. 7th generation console winners are the ps3 and wii. long live PSwii and the xbox is just a poser with its overrated Halo which you can get on the pc anyways. the xbox360 just made all the old games from the ps2 to make it look like their working.the ps3 and wii are the ones actaually working they are making new gaming experinces that will make gamers cry for more.

Dude, how can you call a company greedy. If you wanted to make the money that Microsoft does you'd do it too. I don't have a problem with it.

The Ps3 patches take 20 minutes to download, then another 5 to install. 360 updates take 12 seconds.

Demos take longer on the PSN marketplace and... what? You have to install a demo? Wow, thats neat.

Patches take up to 10 minutes to download for PSN, on 360 they take around 10 seconds.

So why is it that everything on the PSN is slow when compared to Xbox Live?
