After tonight I realized why I wanted to start a band again. To get people to think, if not for anyone, but for themselves. At least just ****ing think. Besides myself, I think there was one other sane person on the PS3 boards tonight.
If you missed it, Sony had their pre-E3 press conference. Of course directly afterwards, everyone complained. They complained on three (3) different subjects:
1.) Sony stoles Nintendo's idea!!!!
-Alright let's look at the facts. Tonight Sony presented the final design for to PS3 controller. This design looked almost identical to the Dual Shock 2, except with a small twist. It had a motion sensor. Now, we all know that months ago, Nintendo showed off their controller for their new, at the time unofficially named, console. This controller was based solely on motion sensing.
-Now if we can all remember correctly, last year Sony revealed the much criticized "boomerang." Everyone, but a select few (which included myself) hated it and pleaded for a redesign. This year, their wish came true... or did it? They got their Dual Shock back, but the motion sensor was just too much to handle. All the screaming morons couldn't handle the concept of diffusion and cried, "Plagiarism!"
-Now, let's use our heads. Did Sony really plagiarize Nintendo. No. This type of technology has been around for a while now. It's the perception that Nintendo announced first, that they were taking advantage of this technology. Making claims such as this, is the same as saying something like, "Dominos copied Pizza Hut!" (Or which ever came first.) You get my point.
2.) Dear god the PRICE!!!!!
-This should have been expected. Ken Kutaragi, last year warned everyone that it would be expensive. He even used those exact words!
-Appreciate the the damn price. Does no one remember all of the analyst reports? All of them saying $800+? Am I insane? Was I the only one who saw this? I will say though, $100 extra for 40GB of HDD space? Come on guys... I can get a 200GB SATA for $80...
3.) Well that Press Conference was a waste of time!
-No it wasn't. It answered the questions that yesterday, you couldn't "possibly wait for." Questions everyone's had all year! After the constant whining of the "boomerang" and price speculation, you call that a waste of time?
-Again, am I insane or was I the only one that saw the Press Conference last year? They did the same thing! Except this time around they had playable, yes playable demonstrations! Does this not excite anyone? Those demos looked awesome! They were made on either beta or FINAL dev kits! Does this say nothing!?
-They showed online! They should how the PSP could react with the PS3! They showed how the new EyeToy is coming along! Are you all stupid!? "They showed me nothing..." Well I guess I've been under a ****ing rock the past DAY because they showed me everything I wanted to know!
People have no nerve anymore. Everyone's a hypocrite. "Oh I can't wait for E3! I gotta see the PS3!"
One day later...
"PS3 sucks! I hate it! They copied Nintendo! They're prices are too high! They didn't show me anything!" Piss off...
I can't stand you idiots...

Yeah, so today was kinda killed when I found out the name "Deranged Minds" was taken by a band... I'm sure your minds are real different if you use MySpace and pretend like someone created that page for you to advertise. MySpace is bull****. It's for people who either a.) don't have a social life outside of their room, or b.) actually have a social life but like to pretend that they don't.
So what the hell am I suppose to call my production? Insane minds? No, it doesn't work solely on the basis that I'm not insane. I'm not restarting on GS again, but I almost feel as if I have to so people don't think I'm parading a stupid ass amatuer band...
I'm not calling it Alienari Studios either. Maybe MNAGS (My Names Always Get Stolen.) Sure enough that band that ****ing sucks. "Love Is A Crime," what the **** is that!? That's not the least bit deranged! It's ****ing emo!
How about LickMahBallz Studios? God, you emo ****ers...
PISS ME OFF!

EDIT: Anyone who reads this blog, the name Alienari is now under patent pending. I got way too pissed off today to lose that one...

Well, this week has been moving by slow. I know it's only Tuesday, but what the hell? It's only Tuesday...
I just beat Spartan: Total Warrior today. I started playing the game on Friday, and got halfway through it that day. Saturday I forgot Brandon had a track meet, so the band wated around for 3 hours waiting for our "unreliable" drummer to show up... Kind of a waste. That night though, we practiced parkour a ton. Getting better, I think I either sprained my ankle, or pulled a muscle though. It's getting better.
But yeah, back to Spartan. I thought it was a good game. I don't understand why game reviewers thought it needed more polish. The game was based on the action and had solid controls. The story and voice acting was also something to appreciate, as most games have pretty ****ty voice acting. Not only that, most all out action games have absolutely horrible story lines. Spartan is different, it's something to appreciate.
Tomorrow I think I'm gonna go buy Rome: Total War. I'm engrossed in melee combat, but now I want it on a massive or epic scale. Mmmmm war hungry Rome. They claimed everything pre-emptive defense, but we all know they just wanted to expand their boarders though war. Otherwise they wouldn't train legions of 1,000 men at a time., and tell them never to retreat.
Never the less, things are basically working in my favor. I should be cautious not to let it get to my head. My friends have asked me to lead the social group now. I don't mind. I think it's fun. See, my friends and I basically have our own undefined social group. Since we're small in number, we try to ensure that we all stay on the right track.
I think Max gave up on leading when Cory and Cody started doing drugs... I wish to beat the hell out of Cody. The quote holds true, "Everything changes, but nothing's going change."
I can't wait until school is over. I'm getting tired of being surrounded by constant stupidity. People call me insane from what I'm told, but take my ideas as their own... That would mean that if I were to be insane, everyone would. I thought maybe things would've changed by now. I've been called insane for 3 years now, but when I have a good idea, it diffuses, and I lose the credit. Ian justified my invention of "weanusing" when everyone in his bio clase (I'm friends with none) was weanusing people. By the tone of his voice, no one believed him.
Weanusing is a small thing. I've lost credit for just about everything, but being the insane kid. I also brought in words such as "noob," "woot," and "leet," to the school. Aparently it wasn't me... Soon enough people will be parading DMS as if it's their own. It'll never be theirs. Simply because they'll never understand. If I hear anyone, ever, claim DMS as their own besides my friends... Let's just say the insane kid that they created will show. That's something unbarable. They might as all well say, "My name is Tom "Rabidus" Cravatta!"
They will never be able to take such a thing from me, I won't allow it...

Well, it's getting close to summer. I'm going to have to get my ass to work, on the show. DMS is emerging. We're a sleeping studio right now. We will wake, and change...everything.
I can advertise this so well. The internet is so easy. So simple, and everyone is connected. The internet is a playground on which our eyes can only gaze. It's that gaze and longing that brings it to life, however. I believe, this is the reason why the internet has so many people hooked. It's a place we can't actually go, and if we could, it wouldn't be so special.
True there's the communication, and all, but imagine if we could do that without the internet. We'd be set, we wouldn't need this network. It's very difficult to explain, and like before, if you don't understand it now, you never will.
Either way, this place is anyone's domain. I can wait to take a part of it and make it my own. DMS will be for everyone to see. Everyone to be apart of...

Trip Like I Do

Life hasn't been all too exciting lately. I don't have much to update on other than the fact that I'm getting a little better at parkour. It's an awesome feeling when you're doing it. However, I will not say it's for everyone.
See, we can't have everyone doing parkour, because then it's no longer special. However it's something that's just fun, and gives ou an amazing feeling. You have to discipline yourself to be able to do it as well. It's not easy.
You have to be strong, and know how to take care of your body, your mind and spirit. After all, parkour was developed as a way to rid oneself of negative energy.
It takes strength, speed, endurance and will power. My friends and I are taking Deranged Minds Studios with us every where. DMS is our team name for everything. Max suggested ATS (Alienari The Show) but DMS to me is something much more than a show.
DMS is inside us all. No person is perfect. Everyone has a deranged thought or two. However, DMS isn't just the exploitation of these thoughts, it's something much more. Something inexplainable. Something raw, something beautiful. DMS is something unseen and unheard. It's a feeling and the only way to describe the feeling is "human."
DMS is about doing something you've always wanted. It's being who you want. If you don't understand it after seeing it, then you never will. Even if you think you understand, I can guarantee you won't. DMS is NOT another Jackass. Mainly because we deal with things differently. Also, we will not sell ourselves to the media.
Expressing yourself online is much better, much easier. I don;t care about the money TV could bring. It will not be monitored. I will not be censored. Above all, I will not sell my name.

Dilly Dally Shilly Shally
by Deranged_Minds on Comments
Oh the good times just keep coming, and more are on the way. First off, I will explain my title for this entry. "Dilly dally, shilly shally," is a line from the English version of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. I pre-ordered my copy 3 weeks ago, anxiously waiting for its arrival. Today I was finally able to experience the movie in my native tongue, and what an experience it was...
Great movie, my favorite of all time. I even loved it when I watched it in Japanese with English subtitles, barely knowing what's happening. Now, seeing it in English, not only enhanced the experience, but also helped answer a few questions some poor translation left me. Speaking of which, the movie surprisingly has one poor translation. Not necessarily poor, just odd though.
There's a scene where Tifa is talking to Cloud and she says, "Zuruzuru zuruzuru." "Zuruzuru" is a Japanese onomonipia for a dragging sound. Now I wondered how they would translate this and thought hard. I figured maybe "Tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk" or "Tch, tch, tch, tch." Something along those lines. However what they replaced "zuruzuru" with this line; "Dilly dally, shilly shally."
Kinda of difficult to imagine. I suppose they needed somewhat of an English saying with 4 syllables. This line just puzzles me though, and will for quite some time. I think the funniest part of it all was, on the second disk, they had a Deleted Scenes section. All of the scenes were in the movie, they just used different dialogue.
Still great, and nothing will change that. While the voice acting wasn't all too great, it was still decent. I was relieved when I heard Sephiroth's voice. I was hoping they'd give hime a good voice actor, I couldn't have my hero with a ****ty voice actor. While I think the Japanese voice actors were better, the English cast works just as well.
Lastly, I think there was one line they should've kept. During the end fight scene Sephiroth says, (Not exact; I'm used to subtitles) "I was thinking of a present for you,"Â (Fighting) "Shall I send you some despair." They took out a line from Cloud between Sephiroth's two. He was originally going to say, "You shouldn't be so generous!" I thought that it would've been better, had he said that, but whatever...
Awesome movie, awesome day.

Parkour
by Deranged_Minds on Comments
Ah yes, parkour. The art of "free-running." Parkour is not you're average jog in the park. It's best to think of parkour as urban acrobatics. Running up/along walls, vaulting rails and other objects. Doing flips off of 15 ft structures and landing safely. Running from rooftop to rooftop eventually to once again land on the ground.
Parkour is a new hobby of mine. Today I successfully got to the first story of a building. I ran up the wall, and did a cat grab on the ledge in order to pull my self up. If had some confidence I would have found way to get to the third story. However, I just started today. Trust me, for your first day, to be on the first story of a building, feels amazing. It's scary as hell when you look down.
In order to get down, I had to cat grab the ledge and propell myself off. Landing on asphault, it not fun. After impressing a few people, Max and I were *****ed at for being up where we were. The guy said if he "caught" us up there again, he would call the cops. As if we were doing anything illegal...
Batavia is one of the worst towns to practice parkour. You'd think it's a friendly town, but everyone is so *****y. IF you tried to do anything productive, that's also different, people are going to call the cops. It doesn't help that the cops are complete hardasses here either. They think they're above the law, and that everyone is inferior to them. There's like what, less than 20,000 people in this town? Calm down... you aren't ****
Back to the subject at hand. Later on we trained in the art of parkour. We then walked around our boring-ass town in search of places to show off our 1337 skillz. Sadly... there's no where. The best we found were a few loading docks behind Martin's. The only place we really did anything, was across a small stream (5'-10' across.) The stream itself was about 3 feet wide, but there were natural walls that made it difficult, and much wider.
I was the guinea pig both times. The first time we went, I made it. Across, and over. The real challenge was going back across. It was quite difficult. I had the longest, most difficult jump. I was about a half foot off from clearing it. Everyone learned from my mistakes and cleared it fine. So close...
Well, I'll update everyone more as I learn some more parkour.

Two Thrones
by Deranged_Minds on Comments
Yes, I got Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones. I've just arrived at the arena before fighting Klompa. However, I've encountered a problem... there is a glitch/bug in the game when fighting this Klompa. You see, when you get to the top of the arena, you are to use your speed attack to stab him in the shoulder, then again in the hand, then one last time in the eye. However, after I stab him, the dagger doesn't flash. It won't let me continue the assault.
Now, I consulted a game guide. No help. So I consulted the forums here. Then I got pissed. I was given absolutely no help. Not even a response. There wasn't anyone to even make fun of any grammer errors I may have made, as people love to do on this site. Now I waited for about an hour for someone kind enough to respond. For that hour there were people responding to stupid threads that have been posted at least 1000 times before. Threads such as, "what is ur favorite gta????" and "hey, i'm a stupid **** and can't remember the story to dmc. can u help me?"
I guess I'm the only one that's encountered this glitch, otherwise someone would have been nice enough to review this with me. Seriously, not one reponse. Not even a nice, "sucks for you" as I've seen many a time before. The only way you get any help on this site is if you make a misleading thread title, or you say "help me plz!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!" 1,000,000 times until someone comes in and tells you out of pure annoyance.
Piss me off...

LAN (caps)
by Deranged_Minds on Comments
Today was pretty cool. The band didn't get to practice because Max was sick... We've got another week before spring break's over so that's good. Plenty of practice time.
Cory and I had a mini LAN over at his house. It was pretty fun. Played some CS:S and some CS 1.6. Pwned some noobs while listening to techno. That's basically it...
Afterwards I spent 90 minutes trying to get my internet to work... I ****ing hate wireless...
I gotta get to work on my Orks. I also have to get back to working out... I've been eating too much **** and not doing anything physically. Need to stay in shape.
Well that's it for now...

Let down...
by Deranged_Minds on Comments
Well today was pretty cool, but a great let down still has me bugged. I downloaded The Elder Scrolls: Arena, and I downloaded it with high expectations. I didn't expect great graphics, however I expected great gameplay. It ran so choppy, I'm worried that somehow I installed it wrong. However I followed all of the instructions correctly. If anyone has played this game, some insight would be nice...
Today the band did good. We got Like A Stone down quite well. Tomorrow we'll be working on Hypnotize by System of a Down. It's going to be a bit harder... oh well, we need a challenge.
What else? I hung out with Emily, an old friend I barely see anymore. Good to see her again, in some ways at least. I was disappointed to see that she started smoking again... I wasn't shocked by any other of her bad news. It's become what I expect from her, but she's still like a sister to me. I've come to accept her habbits, and it doesn't really phase me much. Still it'd be nice...
Yesterday was my mom's birthday. It was pretty fun. I got her a funny card seeing as I can't afford much else. Then my dad and grandparents took us all out to dinner. I was allowed to order a nice, big prime rib. Best I've had in a while.
Lastly, I'm getting pretty damn sick of seeing these Fall Out Boy advertisements. Just by looking at them I get pissed off. It boggles my mind as to how such talent-less, emo *****es even got a record deal. I've had the displeasure of hearing them live. Trust me, I wouldn't waste money on tickets, nor would I even accept them for free. However they played at ESL Sports Center, where I once played hockey, and on a day I had a game... I wanted to bash my head into a ****ing wall.
I hope you die in the near future Fall Out Boy... in a fire.

I hope you die in the near future Fall Out Boy... in a fire.
