So because of the igpu problems as posted earlier. I am going to get a 9800gt 1gb ddr3 version but its 128 bit not the 256 bit :( With what new graphics card is the performance comparable to? I am not getting a 660 until about 5-6 months or atleast until they get released. So i think this is gonna have to work. Gonna cost me about 35 bucks here. Any help?

[QUOTE="Diwashb"][QUOTE="MW2ismygame"]Hmm so the processor works perfectly while I only fried the Igpu inside my chip. is there any program that would check the health of the processor and the igpu too maybe? Any help on that? you can always partially break components, hell even a static shock on the components when your building it can kill a part completely, and sorry i dont know of any programs to check the actual status of the chip Hmmm....... So i looked into the bios and found that I had disabled gt overclocking. When i enable it I dound it at 22 multiplier *50hz base = 1100 mhz. Is that the frequency for the igpu? Coz i tried but i can only increase that. I cant go below 22. Any help please. Also will getting a dedicated gpu fix this?sorry, it seems you fried your chip

If it's actually a chip on the motherboard your going to have to get a heatgun and hit the chip for 3-4min on high.

So my igpu keeps artifacting since i overclocked the igpu on a z68 board with the msi oc genie ii. Now i have disabled that but it still artifacts a lot. Is there a way where maybe i could downclock the gpu and then the artifacts would go away? Any help? i am on the latest drivers. Changing drivers 3-4 times didnt help. Any help guys?

Not if your gaming on 1080 or multimonitor budds.[QUOTE="Diwashb"][QUOTE="blaznwiipspman1"]
meh, id wait for the 660 just so that prices on the radeon 7xxx series drops. 3gb of ram >>>1.5gb of ram

More vram is always useful, people used to say 512mb vram is all we need for 1080p gaming, look where we're at now, 2gb is almost standard. Also you're belief that AMD drivers are terrible is misinformed. AMD video cards will play most games perfectly, only a few will have issues but fixes are constantly updated. If I were you, I would only look for what is the better bang for your buck.
But isnt that because of the the textures of a particular game? One wouldnt benefit by using a 1 gig card instead of 512mb to play mario because at even 2560*1600 512 mb is more than sufficient enough to store all the texture thingy...... So it all boils down to the texture heaviness of a game doesn't it?[QUOTE="blaznwiipspman1"]

yea the gtx 260 (the 1st card to have uneven ram amounts over 768mb specifical 1.5gb) does pretty lousy @ 1080p vs a 6770 or 7770 2gb But most of that is dependent on the game itself isnt it?I guess i will just wait it out then. I prefer nvidia though because of their driver support. I am stil rocking a 8400gs. :D Its about time I upgraded. 660 or a 660 ti? thats a good question. on paper the 660ti sounds like the better deal the gts 650 is a joke jsut ignore that (its basically a clone of their gtx 550ti :P) the gtx 660 is going to basically be a gtx 570 nvidia have already made that very clear (they have admitted to this a few times its likely it will consume the same amount of power as the 660 and 650 series are very improvised designs (omitting the 660ti)).[QUOTE="Diwashb"][QUOTE="ionusX"] ~300 bucks, 1st half of august and inferior to hd 7950 but better than 7870 (at stock) or this is nvidia's target anyway however before this month is over amd will have an hd 7950 ghz edition, hd 7930 and hd 7990 to muddle things up so its tough call to make atm if i would wait as a gtx 580 will @ minimum match a gtx 660
