The 660 was recenlty launched and I believe it has superb value. Its gonna be under 250 and the performance is somewhere between the 570 and the 580 or for amd the 7870 i believe. Very strong performance at very good prices. What more could someone want :D Plus the card is quite small and can be fit in small cases and it requires only a single pcie connector. :D Cherios. I believe this will hit home. :D :D Getting this :)

Not all the 660's are small, some use extended fans which extend the length of the card to full size, only a certain few have a smaller heatsink and fan which take advantage of the smaller PCB Aren't the 660 and the 7870 similar in performance? I plan on keeping this for a good 3-4 years so yes driver support does matter hence the nvidia though. I would put my thoughts in of the 7870, but you seem pretty set on the 660WWIAB
Yes I am going for the msi version. looks great too :)

As most of you know the Samsung lost to Apple on a ruling with respect to the design of the devices that Samsung makes and were ordered by the court to fork over $1+ billion dollar to Apple.

I am not too sure about this. I do think Samsung has tried to emulate Apple and at the same time I do not think Apple should have a hegemony on a particular design and claim that no one else can own a particular shape or design.

Anyways I found the below picture amusing...

I dont get it .... Every single type of motorcycle that is manufactured has two wheels two handles one fuel tank on top. No one has sued anyone for anything, I dont know, Just my analogy for that though..... Good move from samsung though, apple is not goung to file any cases soon :D :p

Pathetic. Just pathetic.

http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2262332

Piledriver being reviewed by Coolaler (respected in the enthusiast community) with reports of 4-5% increase in IPC over Faildozer. Seriously AMD, the Athlon glory days of yesterdecade are long over. Just focus on making video cards now. Pathetic that Thuban still outpeforms this legendary turd.

In fact, that's all this architecture will be good for: a computer engineering lesson in college on what to avoid when designing a new processor.

I hope that doesnt happen.... WE dont want intel having monopoly now do we?

Hey guys - I installed the Gelid Icy Vision-A on my 7970 to help cool it down, but it seems it did the complete opposite:P

The PC wouldn't boot and I was getting 3 long beeps. I tried again and the PC turned itself off - I could smell a burning smell:(

My PC won't even attempt to boot with the card inserted - you guys reckon the thing is ready for the bin?

Just try and blow into the pcie slot.... If it doesnt work then boot with some other card and go to the bios and set everything to default. That worrked for my n210. :p I believe its due to a bad memory maybe on the gpu or the ram itself. Just default the ram if you have extreme ram profiles enabled and viola.... :D

[QUOTE="Diwashb"][QUOTE="Papadrach"]Hey guys, I was wondering if you guys could recommend a good laptop that is capable of playing games at med/high settings. Would be nice to play bf3 on med, but I would like to be able to play some games i normally play on steam on this laptop, such as BF3, CSS, CsGo, tribes ascend, tf2, stuff like that. I found one in best buy That I think may be good but not sure about the graphics card, sorry I don't think I can link on my phone. http://m.bestbuy.com/m/e/product/detail.jsp?skuId=5587561&pid=1218667451379

Clevo w110er.... Performance is on par with the alienware m14x. :) only 900 bucks

This would be the best configured lappy at that price point and you should be able to play battlefield 3 @ medium/high with aa off :D Its a good lappy but the display is 11.6 inches. Watch videos on it............maybe that should give you an idea.... Laptop = http://www.sagernotebook.com/index.php?page=product_info&model_name=NP6110

Should I get the card with an open shrowd cooler like the msi twin forzr 3 or closed coolers like the evga gtx 570? which one would keep temps down on my case with only two fans? Considering a 660ti.... Any help is appreciated.
