yes they're both MGS4 bundles, but they're not the same thing. One's sold by sony the other's sold by konami.

But the hotline is only for the Gun metal grey one then, since they say orders can be placed at Konami.com, and all the options pertain to cancelling or reporting defective KONAMI orders. You just tied yourself in a knot.

Well i'd call again; but i'm at work. If sombody else calls and confirms that in fact the Gunmetal Grey PS3 in the Limited Edition Konami.com Bundle does in fact have a full year warranty though Sony; i'll believe you.

Until then im going to have to believe what i was told. I will call again to double check when i get home though. It goes on sale tonight i believe.

so your saying that when you turn on this gunmetal ps3 that its gonna say Konami entertainment, instead of Sony Entertainment and that the Blu-ray player and the controller and the logo beside the power button is all gonna say konami ... you really are a fool. SONY makes the PS3, the Gunmetal edition is SPONSORED by Konami ... GAMES have 90 days warranty, the last line says SOFTWARE which indicates the game aspect of that warranty.

Every Single PS3 is Warranted Under Sony!! Like every 360 is warranted under microsoft, its not like the Halo edition 360 was warranted by Bungie and wii under Nintendo. Stop making false claims and learn to Read before causing a riot and possibly detracting people from buying an awesome coloured PS3.

of course Konami didnt manufacture or develop the PS3. BUT, you wont be able to get a GUNMETAL GREY one anywhere but from konami (IT says ON the PS3 "Metal Gear Solid 4 Limited Edition"). and it will NEVER be made again. SO, if it breaks a year from now & they need to replace it; where do you supposed they're going to get them from?

or for that matter, if one of the controllers stops working (also gunmetal grey)

If it is I would be a happy camper, since i was planning on buying it. But like i said, when i called and asked SPECIFICALLY about the Gunmetal Grey Limited Edition PS3 Bundle. I said i read on their site 90 day warranty & they confirmed it.

I call BS cause when i called yesterday they told me the Bundle was what was under 90 day warranty. Did you ask "is Sony PS3 a one year warrant" or did you ask "Is the Konami.com gunmetal grey PS3 bundle one year warranty"? because i was told 90 day.

The entire hotline is for INQUIRIES OF THE MGS4 BUNDLE ONLY, therefore, all questions pertain to the MGS4 game and the Gun metal grey PS3 only.

I asked, "IN THE MGS4 BUNDLE, WHAT IS THE PS3'S WARRANTY"

His response, "The PS3 is covered by Sony as it normally would be, Konami only covers the game itself, for 90 days."

Well, try asking about the Gunmetal Grey Limited Edition one. The MGS4 bundle is the 80GB normal black one.

Yes, I was because i really liked the color.

But I was told that the warranty is only 90 DAYS. I suspect it's because it's going to be "very limited" quantites. and that since it's a special edition gunmetal grey there arent any that can replace it if need be.

The console itself belongs to Sony. The console is being sold through Konami just like how games are sold through Gamestop/Ebgames.

Wrong, this is the gunmetal grey MGS edition console. The innards are made by sony; but again, it's a Konami product.
