i've been eye'n the game for a while but i'm really not that interested in playing Jason in singal player but i'd do it multiplayer. However, i've been waiting to pull the trigger after the reveal of singal player hoping that they would develop exciting and engaging ways to survive a Jason onslaught in singal player. I had wish for some sceenish type situations where theres some sort of function going on where you'd never know when Jason would strike and friends would slowy disappear until all hell breaks loss at which time depending who's still alive will determine the stratigies available for making it through the night. For some odd reason though I have a hard time wraping my head around playing a demonic psyco pathical murderer preying on imperfect teenage youth lol. I 'm not taking some moral high ground either. Its just most games i play I put myself into the character and being an evil super natural killer doesnt do it for me. Watching the trailer reminds me of games like hitman but without the powers. However, you not a bad ass assassin but rather a mindless monster with a wicked ass mother always bitchen you out to kill the innocence.
@pcgameboy: Well, Peter Brown already declared publicly his preference of the PS brand, I dont think it could be made more clearer than that even if they had it tattooed on their foreheads. Everytime they deal with a MS subject their bias bleeds through like toliet paper on a war wound. Just rewatch the video when that guy was asked if he bought a XBX. His body language acted like he was asked if he likes to have sex with dogs. After that the credit they gave on backwards compatibility was a kin to someone telling a super model, Miss Americe that she has "uhh pretty toe nails" when asked what you thought of her. Totally ignoring the rest of her body, then the normal childish rants proceeded forth with contextualized negativity.
My point is they base the criticism on a particular set of circumstances. If you own this system then.... or, we dont like MS current exclusives so.... They use the most bias, elementary attackes ripped straight from the cows playbook from system wars. They are in a state were they believe their own propaganda so much so they should go live in North Korea cause they are mindless drones dancing to the beat of Peter Brown like hes Kim Jung In.
From my perspective of a sole XBX player, what i'm getting out it is miles above what they mascorade on their low quality, untalented and non entertaining programes. I'll be fair and note a realistic set back I see on the XBX which is it may or may not be held back by third party developers because of XBone and PS4 Pro. However, that con is mitigated by the fact first party games are top notch. I stand by what i said before: XBX has provided the best console experience to date in the last 30 yrs of gaming on consoles.
I'm not saying it's the best possible gaming experience that can be had every where. We all know that title belongs to PC. However, I'm a guy who doesn't fall on any of the presumptions gamespot bases their criticisms on so guys like me are just dirty imperialist they want to obliterate with unproven missles but can't so fling around their passive aggressive rants as if they were facts.
As for you, I'm glad PC is your thing but theres millions of us who prefer consoles and as a XBX player and long time player of XB i fell on so many levels my dedication has been rewarded 10 fold. If I was a sole PS or switch player I'd be jelly. On every aspect MS has trumped the competition. The only safe haven Sony has now is der dem exclusives which 90% of their player base don't even play anyway. As for switch i'll probably buy one next year just so I can play some old hits on the go and for Zelda. PS4 though, pfff, I gave them a chance this gen and every gen before and gen 3&4 wasn't tooooo bad its just that XB in quality, services and peripherals absolutely smash PS4 in everyway.
@pcgameboy: Nah, my hopes have been realized for console standards. As far as some old games not hitting true 4k/60fps thats on the third party devs. GoW4 and Forza 7 proves it can be done. I expect the best from first party games and they delivered a promising start. Every thing in between is icing on the cake for me. I'm a guy who tried PS4 and didn't like it. I have a slight interest in switch for Zelda and maybe some portable Skyrim but not enough to pull the trigger. PC would be great but as you already noted that it technology rapidly progresses so to always stay on the cutting edge would go beyond my budget.
To be clear I never tried to convince you or anyone else they should buy an XBX. My intention in my first post was directed more towards gamespot's "report card" review which is 98.420% bullshat. They only echo the idioms coined by cows and hermits in system wars, "Oh i only liked halo since 3, or i got a PC, or i don't have a 4k tv, or $500 is too expensive, or i haven't played gears since 2 so there's no exclusives.." It's clear they pander the cows here.
All in all i've been coming to this site for nearly 15 yrs and it's a shame to witness what a dump this sites turned into. All the talent is gone, the great shows are gone, the great reviewers are gone. The only thing left is a rotting corpse sustaining life to dead flesh eating maggots. Basically what I'm saying is this site is riding a wave from its former glory while keeping a float on the backs of cows with visions of grandiose ideas.
As a person who went all in on XB this gen, I have been tremendously satisfied and even surprised by all that i get. Then to stumble accross a bunch of weirdos who look like the just crawled out of their moms basement and present such diluted, bias and all around crass representation of XBX struck a cord, i had to say something.
Microsoft needs to pull their adds from this site. There's no point to cast pearls before the swinge. Gamespot here's a report card grade for your performance F------- in every subject. Please get out of gaming media and get into politics, that's a circus freak show, i'm sure you'll fit right in somewhere.
@pcgameboy: Most points are valid but again I'm not keen on playing on PC. First party games got the royal treatment and the bump i've seen in performance and 4k or 4k dynamic the games look dam good for old titles on my LG C7 OLED 65". What i spent on my TV alone i could have bought a monster gaming PC but as I said I prefer consoles. And the enitre console package on XBX right now is top tier. Depending on what devs do with that power in the near future is anyones guess but I like MS exclusives and know they'll continue to show even more what this box can do.
If I was a PC games elitest I'd mayed be even less forgiving towards console players than you are or i'd ignore them all together like I do with Sony. I don't cross over to their forums to troll like they do everywhere. I bought and sold every generation on Sony PS. In gen 1&2, they were great, but gen 3&4 they are fueled but hype and hate so no more of that for me. The only way i'd buy a PS again is if it also made me breakest, lunch and dinner and gave me head. Anyway, in the realm of console peasents XBX is now king and this is just a mid console upgrade. In a few year when XBneXt comes out I expect MS will double down and the gap between PC and XB will get even smaller. Although, if MS tries to blow off their head again like they did the start of this gen, I may conjur the energy to just buy a PC. But for now, the results I see with my own two eyes is the best i've seen so far. Games simply run the best and look the best on XBX in the console world and has all the games I want to play plus many bells and whistles to boot. In the console realm I got as good as it can get so I'm happy.
@scottyp360: Well the power I get from XBX and the free upgrades I get for enhanced games is great. Sure, even MS admits the XBX will only appeal to a minority because its a premium product. Nevertheless, if your a fan and did buy an XBX and 3 thousand dollar, 4K UHD TV like me then just add that to the already existing perks steller perks you get from XB it all and it all adds up to the best experience for me, sure. This gen MS started at rock bottom with a self inflicted gun shot wound to the head. Nevertheless, they worked themselves back to the top, in my book. However, those heavily invested in Sony will give life and limb to see that its not a commercial break out success.
As far as your second point, you got me, it was a cheap shot and has no real merit to my argument but that's how I feel gamespot treats its coverage of XB. Nothing but low blows and cheap shots. They give it a scarp of credit, only to lace it with poisoned lies. To help sell their anti MS propaganda. It's like someone offing you a nice fresh glass of ice water on a hot day but as they hand it to you they put a drop of raw sewage in it and swear they only have your best intrest in mind. Drink it up cows!
@sasuke7488: Pfff, I'm not crying just explaining it how I see it. As an XBX player I have an ever growing list of games that demand attention and I have to be picky and prioritize what I want to play. I feel like Hugh Hefner (XBX) with all these hot chicks (games) who want to get busy. Destiny 2 is a game thats been sleeping around with Magic Johnson (PS4) and I'll have to wait 1 yr to make sure the test come back clean before I touch that one. In the mean time I have a house full of games to keep me happy till then, no tears here! ;/
